plug in my microphone yet again get that done real quick so as you can see the focus of tonight is going to be long range patrol rations and i'm going to give you guys the information that i know i'm going to show you guys some cool old stock photos and we're going to go through a little bit of the history of the long range patrol kind of why it came to be a ration in the first place which started way back in the middle 60s in the mid 60s they probably started working on it probably 62 or 63 maybe even before then because it didn't actually come in to use until late 64 or 65 so uh there's there's a whole lot of different long range patrol rations this is not all there are i'm lacking quite a few actually i thought at one point that i had just about every generation but it's those first generations that i'm having a really hard time with i had one of the at the very first generation called the mark one and i gave that one away so uh i don't have that any longer and one just came up on ebay and sold and i missed out on that as well i i couldn't pay 130 for what would have been a very tiny ration uh i mean oh hey there's gusto you know i love lrps howdy smokey well thank you mr gusto i hope you're doing well man uh just kind of talking about the different range of well the range of difference first of all in the long range patrols and as far as i know by the way thank you again for that super chat gusto you guys go check out rc gusto's channel i actually got into making or setting up this live stream and forgot to copy all of my description information so the description in this doesn't have hardly anything i'll have to fix that later it's just very basic uh intro into what this this is about so right here this as far as i know is the newest long range patrol that you can get your hands on or that i know of and i believe this is a 2013 if i'm not mistaken with a 2016 inspection date they still put a three year inspection date on wow guys i thought i lost the whole stream right there i was gonna have to start all over thank goodness it just uh youtube shut down on me weird i said youtube and stop anyways as far as i know now i am going to dig a little further into this since i do have a contact at natick i plan on texting him or maybe if he'll let me give him a call give him a call and talk to him and see what the deal is with the food packet long range patrol they've talked about for years moving away from the long range patrol and only making meal cold weathers because they're so similar and it cost them a whole lot of money to make both versus when they can just make the one the only thing i see that a problem with that because they did move away from the white packaging in the middle cold weathers the only thing is that the outer bag is still white so that's kind of a problem if you ask me so anyway we're going to go through the different generations that i have setting here on the table but first i want to show you guys uh some pictures that i have of the mark one two and three actually already have those pulled up which is great let's see okay so right here we go i wish i could stream for my computer so i could actually have these on your screen instead of doing this i'm not exactly sure how to do that i need to figure that out i need a webcam for sure the one that is on the computer sucks really bad but anyways right here this is the one that i had i think i even had chicken and rice i can't remember what menu it was anyways i gave that thing to steve probably about two years ago now something like that this one right here that's the package of food inside as well but that's the mark it's the mark one and then over here this is the second generation now they made a lot of changes to the lrp as you can see on the table there's a lot of different bags here and like i said this is nowhere near all the different long-range patrols that exist i'm probably lacking somewhere along the lines of which i have a few other different ones other than what i have sitting here on the table as well but i've probably got all of them but about five or six something like that i may be lacking less than that i'm not i'm not 100 sure because they went through so many changes i know i have a couple other different brown bags like these here that are different than these and i have i have another different canvas bag as well i have three different generations of canvas bags myself and then of course there's these three different generations of canvas these are all canvas bags i want to talk about that here in a second but i want to get to the super chat that just came in from history savior hope everyone is doing good driving so i may be silent for a bit hope everyone as well well thank you there uh history savior let me let me mention real quick history savior just told me he's going to be doing another giveaway over on his channel with the uh 1 000 subscriber giveaway is what he's going to be doing so when that video comes out it'll be out soon so you can't go over there and do it right now but when that video does come out just go over there comment on that video and you'll be entered to win over there on his thousand subscriber giveaway contest so it's going to be a good one i'll wait and let him tell you what everything that's going to be in that it's going to be a lot of stuff so definitely going to want to check that out now right here like i mentioned before this 1964 late 64 1965 and i don't know if you guys can read that or not and if you can't i'll read it for you it says chicken and rice starch jelly bar looks like sugar packet is that what that is i don't know man i can't tell what that says right there it looks like sugar or something focus camera it has to be sugar packet uh cocoa beverage powder coffee packet cream dry and coffee type something oh it's cream dry coffee type and then i can't tell what the other word is regardless this is the first generation of the long range patrol as you can see the menu is listed right on the front of the bag and it doesn't say anything at all oh yeah thank you thanks history savior for that super chat i don't know if i said that or not but thank you man for that super chat and you guys definitely go there and check out his channel anyways go over there hit that subscribe button leave some comments on his videos tell him old smokey sent you over there and i would appreciate it and i said i know he would too so here we go second generation no menu list on the bag the only thing i can think of menu list on the bag like that is uh the ration cold weather they ran the menu list on that thing the entire the entire time that it was in service so it's kind of an oddity for the entire menu contents to be listed on the bag but here is the mark ii now like i said this is from 64. late late 64-65 right along in that area and then they switched pretty quickly and i'm going to say this this happened probably 66 67 somewhere right along in there and then this could have been 67 or 68 right here now here's where you get into a difference this is the only other time that i've seen the food bars like this outside of the ration cold weather in 1989 they they started off early with the freeze-dried food now real quickly i want to talk about why the long-range patrol came in to service or was actually created to begin with so back then you guys know that they had something like this with a bunch of cans inside like these right here same same concept had a bunch of cans inside right this one's from 1960 this one's from 1952. but as you can see in here they make noise right and if you carry them around in the box there's a little cardboard separator in there that's kind of kind of supposed to prevent that and i think it does it does a pretty good job i mean not going to lie but then again how many times are you going to keep it in the box if you're out in the field you're going to strip this box off immediately and toss the box aside use it for fire you know a fire starter or whatever so guys would would have these rations in their bags clanking around and they're also heavy so when you think about a steel can like this it's got some weight to it right versus having plastic or aluminum packaging with uh you know the tri-coat tri-laminate all right so uh w oh what's good smokey what's up man good good to talk to you guys so you know what i probably could turn the camera around on myself while i'm talking about this a little bit uh all right okay so to to start with the reason that these came into production is because when these guys would go on actual now these were special forces going on these long range patrols they needed something that was light something that was calorie dense yeah the no noise was a was a big bonus i don't know that that was exactly the 100 reason that they didn't can anything i think that's a part of the reason but when you freeze dry something you vacuum seal it which they were doing back then which is amazing hey what's up chris uh they had a lightweight ration that they could actually survive on for an entire day if they had to now of course that's not ideal that's not ideal but at the same time you get this lightweight ration and you are you're sacrificing two other rations in its place now i'm not going to say every time that they had to survive off of one that was only if they were in a crunch and they had to only eat one ration they could they could get by on that and you guys will see these early long-range patrols didn't have a whole lot in them but there's a whole lot of calories in there packed in a very tight space and very lightweight now they started off with the freeze drying using freeze-dried mains and they still stick to that to this day the freeze-dried mains you don't have to worry about heat getting to them not a problem you don't have to worry about i mean you could store these in high heat i would say for now when i say high heat i mean like 90 to 100 degree heat for probably i'm gonna say a solid five years would be my guess maybe even longer and still be able to eat that if you took a brand new fresh freeze-dried maine put it in a storage unit that stayed 100 degrees all day every day in arizona or whatever wherever it may be i mean you'd have to at night time it'd probably drop a little bit but anyways you could probably leave it in there for five years and still be able to eat that at the end of that five years that's what i'm thinking so i don't really understand why they went through so many different bag styles and changes because essentially they didn't make a whole lot of changes to the actual ration itself when we move out of the 60s right so we go from we got the mark one two and three that take us to at least 1967 68 right i'm thinking it probably rolled even around into 1969 with that canvas bag that was folded up on both sides and it had green duct tape on it that's one thing you can't see from this photo right here let me see if i can it's not anyway as you can see this bag is kind of squared off and the reason that that's squared off is because it has a piece of duct tape that take both of the top flaps and fold them over and it's taped around and it's taped on the bottom as well now this one right here is taped all the way around and it's like crunched down into the smallest form possible and it also has the food bars versus just the loose food in a in a bag like this so that takes us to about i'm going to say late 60s and then you have this this is going to be right around 1969 maybe even roll into 1970. more than likely this is around 69.70 this could even roll into seven i would say this is 1970. now there's three different canvas bags that i have that are the later generations of canvas bags that take us all all into the early 70s right here's another another canvas bag and as you can see there's there's a difference in the type of canvas and the color of the canvas and this is a lot softer to the touch and all the ones that i've had like this from the earlier generations almost seem to be vacuum packed they're not vacuum packed but they're very tightly packed and it's like they squeezed all the air out of it as it went through the sealer so i only have two of the types of canvas bags that i have on the table right now but as far as i know there's either six or seven different types different generations of canvas bag long range patrols then we're going to move in to probably right around 1972 or so 71 72 maybe even all the way up into 73 because there wasn't a whole lot of changes to this one for a few years so early on they were changing them like almost every year not exactly every year but almost every year you have this which is what we call or consider a paper bag long range patrol now this isn't exactly paper it just feels that way and looks that way it does have the appearance of paper but it's a very coarse like plastic uh what would i call it reinforced with almost like fiberglass lines in here that make it really strong and very hard to rip like you can't you can't i mean you can but it's very tough material it's not just really lightweight easy to rip paper wyoming adventures awesome live stream smokey well thank you for that super super chat wyoming adventures i really appreciate that man uh you guys are too kind you really don't have to do that i i appreciate you guys the the meal that i'm having tonight i just got it i have no idea that the storage conditions behind it i asked the people i got it from i've had it for maybe four days three or four days very fresh to my collection call it but uh yeah this is beef with rice now this one right here unfortunately has a little pinhole in it does it affect the way it looks or feels or anything no this is this is a great ration for display but i'm going to guess i don't know there's no weird odors coming out of there but whenever i bought this thing it was supposed to be in pristine condition new and sealed you know people are uh not quite so what is that that i keep seeing floating around because i don't see it with my eyes i only see it through the camera huh okay now we're moving on to the later years oh that's another one there's a sealed bag company from 1975 1975. so we move out of the canvas into the what we call paper bags and the paper bags were around for two or three years then we go and we get into the actual plastic bags which 100 percent by 1977 that's all they were using but there was a seal bag company that i did a review of on my it's on my channel it's an old review that sniper sent me been a long time ago i don't have a repeat i may have one i can't remember anyways it's similar in color to this except it it's just lacking all this extra text it's basically this bag without without the repeating text so it's made by seal bag company just like this so seal bag company must have had the contract for i'm going to say that i know of at least four years that i saw different types of seal bag companies starting from 1970 we're going to say 1974. this one right here in particular is a 1977 and this is the type of ration that i'm going to be having tonight actually it's even the same menu i do believe so 1977. all right and then we move into i'll show you guys 1978. i might have a couple pictures that i can help you guys out with uh with seeing some differences okay another thing i want to talk about is early on the cases of long-range patrols came in like i want to say 24 was it 24 uh i i don't know how many the the canvas i think it was it might have been 20 or 36 it might have been 36. it seems like there was eight different menus and there was four of each in a case so 16 16 that's 30 32. so maybe 32 in a case yeah so i've seen i have pictures of an early canvas bag case somewhere and it seems like there there was either highs 20s or 30s in that case the amount of rations in that case and then when they got down to start in in the mid 70s let's say they uh the seal bag companies i think they've got down to 16 or 18 rations in a case the cases were pretty small about the same size as an mre case you could just fit more in there and then uh let's see there's all these different generations of brown bags right here okay the brown bags actually started in 1979 from what i can tell here's a really good picture this is 1967. this is the mark ii hang on let me flip the camera around i want you guys to be able to see this hi james hey robert okay so like i was saying with the that's that's a piece of green duct tape on the bottom right there but this shows you the entire contents right it's got two of the sweet chocolate ration bars let's say candy enriched sweet chocolate bar right there got a spoon you got a thing of matches uh you got your usual butt ration up there you got uh one packet of sugar two packets of coffee and one packet of creamer so they're actually giving you extra coffee to help you stay awake the long range patrols were just that they were long you were traveling far distances you were out in the woods for long periods of time not that that still doesn't go on to this day so because it does just a little bit differently than being in the jungle back in vietnam era and things like that but yeah this is a great stock photo and as you can see right up here 1967 on the mark ii so the mark 1 i'm pretty sure ran late 64 65 and maybe into 66 definitely by 67 we were onto the mark ii maybe 67 68 69 mark 3 very short-lived ration and then moved on from there now here's another stock photo of a brown bag there's the contents this is a spaghetti you got you get a beverage base oatmeal cookie bar four tootsie rolls really packing the the carbohydrates in there get a taster's choice coffee now this one right here i can't tell you what that bag it doesn't appear to say anything on it and uh i think this is from 1980 or 81 the brown bags because that was the next thing that they went to was the brown bags same as the mres right around the same time period is when they switched over to the brown but what i'll tell you is they went back to the green because this ration right here with the horizontal text the dixie packaging company we've tracked down to be in a 1982 long range patrol now this is not the only horizontal text lrp that there is out there there's also a brown bag lrp that i don't have with the horizontal text on it like that so you went through all these different areas of plastic bags right here that were like the thin pretty pretty flimsy plastic this one right here by cadillac is the closest thing to mre plastic that there are on the table but this one right here is even a lighter weight thinner and softer type of plastic and then 1998 we're going to move up to the 90s because this is 1982 this is the last vintage one that i have on the table then they went back to brown bags again horizontal text that one ran for a few years not that was very lightly used because we weren't in any conflicts or anything at the time so you won't see a lot of those popping up out there same type of bag as this right here in the center that shiny made by the same company i do believe right here this is island supply corporation what does that say wine wood wine wood pa 19096 zip code that's cool so the first real substantial changes to the long-range patrol guys is right here in my hand and this is arguably the best long-range patrols that they ever made that's a personal opinion of mine and i'm willing to argue about it uh warnock made them as you can see 1998 it's the only date code we can find for these it's a one-year production of this long-range patrols it was the last year of the ration cold weather so 1998 they wernick had had the warnick had the contract for both so warnick was making the long range patrols and they were also making the ration cold weathers it was the last year of the ration cold weather and that was the first year that they really made some substantial changes to the food packet long range patrol so a couple other real quick points that i want to hit oh here's a really cool photo too of uh the lrp in action these fellas right here actually out in the field i do believe this is at a testing facility at natick that's what i think that's not the information that i found on this photo but that's what i think this is so uh by the way g shultz told me earlier tell you guys what's up there is a case of the long range patrols with that blank brown bag there this is an interesting picture too so i do believe steve actually reviewed this prototype this emergency assault packet prototype you guys probably know better than i do i think he did do a review of that and then again we have the brown bag long range patrol and over here we have what they're calling the meal ready to eat so this picture is actually from 1978 i think or 77 why the meal ready to eat is in a metal container like that i couldn't tell you but it's interesting nonetheless here's another cool photo of uh some fellas actually eating a long range patrol now long range patrol also is food that is kind of be meant to eaten to be eaten without uh drawing any suspicion to yourself that's why you don't see cigarettes in the early rations now right here comparison of combat rations meal ready to eat weighed 1.9 pounds and had 155 cubic inches in volume 1200 calories right there long range patrol less than half the weight a little bit more than half the volume just barely and only lacking a hundred calories on the meal ready to eat obviously this is right around 1979 1980 when the meal ready to eat was actually being worked on emergency assault packet you know that that's insignificant because that never went into production but that was a 1500 calorie option all right well like i was saying uh by the way i haven't heard anything from fred guys and i know i mentioned it last live stream for you guys to uh throw good vibe spread fred's way and uh maybe send some prayers whatever you feel like doing his way now pretty simple these are very simple rations this one right here can't stop talking about it before we talk about this one like i mentioned as far as i know this is the last generation of food packets long range patrol food package food packet long range patrols that have been produced and the the last date that i've seen on long range patrols is 2013 with the 2016 inspection date now seems like back in the day i remember seeing some that were produced in 16 and had a 19 inspection date but i could very well be wrong about that so i'm not going to say that's that's one way or the other because i'm not i'm not sure i don't remember but it seems like i might have seen that at one point if anybody out there knows in the chat right now i'm definitely up for that information so then you're going to move on to uh you know like i said your new and fresh rations every single one of these is we're going to require a decent amount of preferably boiling water now you can eat these without boiling the water and adding it just takes longer for it to rehydrate so it depends on how much time you got you know if you want to sit around or you want to stick it in your pocket and carry around with all that water sloshing around in there then maybe that's what you have to do you know there were guys that were using water out of the jungles dirty muddy nasty water to rehydrate these things i've heard stories of guys you know putting brown water in their food so that they could eat it because eating a whole bunch of dry freeze-dried food will tear you up it's not recommended at all because that food swells up on the inside of you did i just see gun dogs here hey gun dog hey buddy good to see you here man oh miss sharon said we missed you gun dog yep you're right it's good to see the gun dog is here i've been thinking about him here lately and uh hadn't seen him pop up for a while so uh good good to see him all right like i had mentioned i i kept this in the box like wait a minute okay that's not a person's name it's like what see the date there 3 9 21 so i just got this thing right just had it a few days that's when they shipped it and today is the 20th so they shipped this thing 11 days ago and it took me i don't know like i said i picked it up probably four days ago or so all right going to how am i going to do this [Applause] we're going to start looking at the one i'm going to be eating tonight which should be from 1977. come on down here camera this is how it was packaged and it is a menu number one okay 100 sure on that but it looks to be in pretty good shape just by looking at it oh it's still airtight that's that's a good thing that's a plus yeah buddy all right so right here's what we're eating tonight 1977 food packet long range patrol produced by the seal bag company you know what i tried looking up some information on the seal bag company i had no luck um i didn't look real hard but i did look a little bit and i i was getting some weird results on the internet while on google i should have probably veered away from google to actually find some some real solid information but the you know it is what it is see 77 87 97 07 17 that's 40. so this is what 45 years old almost right 44 almost 45 years old i'd call it this could have been produced in 1976 so i'm going to call it 45. because the first photos of this don't pop up until 1977. all right well i'm just going to dig right into this thing and see 42 oh wait what huh yep you're right i'm wrong or wait huh call it 70 call it 76 late 76 86 96 46 16 it's 40. yeah it'd be 45. yeah 44 45 years old i'm gonna do my best to not cut through the front and this will be great for display afterwards that's why i like this little ifak knife you guys can get these over at minotaur they got these things and i'll tell you what i mean they are super handy and if you want to preserve your ration bags or anything like that they're great for cutting them open i'll say that if you go over there to minotaur you can use code os 10. get yourself a discount 10 off your entire order all right so really flimsy little bag right not much to it hopefully i packed enough history and information in there that somebody might learn something from this live stream if they actually you know if they're looking for long-range patrol information hopefully i gave them some so there we go actually there's really well somewhat two items in there two packages in there is what i should say you have this package which is wrapped with a very thin piece of cardboard as you can see and it's got a piece of painters tape masking tape right there and then you also have an accessory packet and this is accessory packet number one has a corn flake bar orange a cocoa beverage powder matches coffee cream and sugar all in this little package right here you know i didn't stick my nose in this thing let me smell the bag okay wow that smells amazing that smells lightly of plastic i don't i don't smell any off smells no rancid oils no spoiled food nothing like last week now if you guys didn't catch last week's live stream man i would i would definitely recommend checking it out because it was something else it was something else this thing has been popped at some point i don't know how because well i mean i guess it still could happen but that bag was airtight until i just cut it open no air had entered that thing since 1976 or 77. all right see if i can get just the probably can't but just cut the back open there we go all right cut this tape right here now we're ready to dig in inside the cardboard sleeve we have our main right here we have our little butt ration made by scrooble strabal interesting i've never seen that toilet paper before huh okay we also have our spoon it's a nice little spoon mci style early mre style and we have our main which is the beef hash and it's kind of got an oily residue to it but let me tell you what that thing is solid no flexibility to it whatsoever that is a great sign that's still going to be edible i don't smell anything weird how many of you guys have eaten over 40 year old meat before 40 year old beef 45 almost 45 year old beef here in my hands right now 45 year old beef huh i guess uh i should think about that more often because that's pretty significant all right toilet paper let's see what's in our let's take a look at our contents we already know what's in here from our wonderful contents list okay okay that's not good hopefully that's just from being packed no it isn't well we'll see what that's like get your cocoa beverage powder type one fortified dmp corporation mobile alabama mix the contents with six fluid ounces of water or a quarter of a canteen cup for hot cocoa add contents to hot water and stir until dissolved for cold cocoa mix contents with about one fluid ounce or 30 milliliters of water what to make a smooth paste and then add the remainder of the cold water and stir blended different instructions there interesting we have our matches blank on the back these are dd bean and suns can't really read it but that's what they are and they are white tip black matches in person they look black i don't know why there's purple coming through on the screen but i guess they probably have a little bit of a purple tint to them but there we go maybe if i can get the shade it's a black match and these are strike one front that's significant because they did change the striker to the back because striking right here you left the flap open when you struck it some of that could fly off some of that phosphorus could fly off and light the rest of your matches that's why they moved the striker to the back here we have our solid cream substitute unfortunately there's our sugar and i'll tell you the reason why i think this stuff is like this and okay coffee type one style one composition two and we have an identical coffee instant type one style one oh yep composition two they are the same are they the same type one style one composition two yeah okay two and a half grams net so they did change that at some point too i can't remember when who made this made by tenco a division of the coca-cola company this is an interesting package of coffee so one of these which one this one yeah this one getting saved from my display up here because i don't have one of these on display i've got a trans packers corporation from a uh 1952 ration over there but i'm gonna drink that one set this one off to the side actually i'll leave it out for now i want to get all the contents laid out here and last but not least we have our corn flake bar and this is the culprit why the cream substitute is no good and this is also why the cocoa beverage powder might be bad because of all the oils that's contained inside this little bar is that upside down it is this is produced by van broge milling company oh what is that that's an interesting little uh something or other in there now this is an orange flavored type three fruit flavored corn flake bar class 1 orange flavor you can see right there it says class 1 orange flavor and then there was a ingredients list here that's no longer legible if i bring it up to my eyes it says cornflakes uh yeah i can't read it it's all all rubbed off there i don't think i did that did i no i didn't rub it off there it just came off i guess anyway let's see our coffee's over here on our beef hash i wanted this laid out nicely so i could get a picture of it uh cornflake bar two coffees yeah close enough all right get this stuff out onto a tray and see what we can eat hopefully we can eat it all hopefully i can eat it all whatever taking you guys along for the ride with me though might be something you know i have a feeling this could possibly be gross oh all that smells oh that smells interesting it smells very acidic like stomach bile acidic you guys know that smell i'm talking about like that that pukey smell that's what i'm talking about all right cornflake bar what i do okay put my coffee over there coffee creamer matches that's just a tp going off to the side right here and cocoa beverage powder now i have a backup meal sitting over here just in case this thing right here happens to not be edible this is all chunky but it may be okay i'm going to have a feel i got a feeling that it absorbed some of the disgustingness that is this cornflake bar but i'm definitely going to try that bar love how solid that thing is too i mean it's just it's like a little brick if you had enough of these you could build a house out i wonder all right should i just go ahead and get started off with this uh beef hash right here i've seen people kind of loose just a loose mane like this on ebay for like 30 bucks i mean that was like the it was like that in the toilet paper or something i don't know man prices of rations are way way way up a lot of stuff is just out of my reach i just can't can't afford to buy it we're gonna go ahead and get started with the beef hash i think i think i'm gonna go ahead and get it reconstituting so hopefully let's see if we get a hiss here i didn't hear but there was probably one there oh yeah that worked out really really well huh just put just enough pressure on that i didn't hear hiss on this but i think it's sealed really well okay there's a little bit of loose beef hash in there that's okay i'm gonna save that bag it's a good looking bag and you got to be careful sometimes with these there it is now the outside of this bag right here is greasy but i think that's just from packaging it i think whenever they put it in these bags they weren't super careful and they got some of the food grease on the outside of it in the initial packaging now i am going to break this up even though it's pretty solid right now now before i add water you know me i got to get me a bite of this so that basically has beef dust and potatoes in it all right i'm just going to go for it uh actually i'm just going to go for a little piece up that's not okay go for a little piece of the beef first very beefy very beefy almost like a beef bouillon all right here we go potato and everything down the hatch tastes good enough to try hmm you know what that reminds me of you know those cans of uh like shredded beef jerky it's like in a dip can like a tobacco can that's what that tastes like man that's good it's actually really good i want to save a little bit of that loose hmm all right i'm gonna have to get a baggie be right back okay oh hey gail old smokey did a bit of digging and seal bag company samuel l bogard that's cool name was the owner he was a navy veteran company in operation uh in 1961. wow so that's when they started very interesting information gail thank you for that super chat and the information very good jeebus 100 plus shipping for a 94 what about a 94 94 what i'm i'm lost oh an imp on gee whiz wow all right i'm gonna dump just a little bit of this over into this bag here maybe i literally want to eat this dry i really like it enjoyed it saving a little bit of it now as far as the water goes we're going to read the label on that see what it suggests which i just took out about i don't know just a little bit not a whole lot but there's a little bit of weight there let's take a look at this package real quick caution inner bag is open on one side remove it carefully holding the outer bag upright to avoid spilling contents freeze dried beef hash tear bag open at notches add half a canteen cup or 13 ounces that's not right hot or cold water to the food in the bag let's soak about five minutes add more water if desired may be eating dry ingredients beef potatoes seasoning mix beef flavored soup and gravy base onion powder white pepper monosodium glu glutamate and garlic powder and that's exactly what it tastes like is that right there this thing is impeccable condition as far as the main goes couldn't ask for a better mane and i gotta i gotta take one more bite sorry guys i i gotta do it oh that's too much i'll be wearing half of that if i try to eat all that all right really is tasty i can taste the onion taste the garlic the beef the beef gravy mix or whatever it is i'd say that's where a lot of that beef bouillon flavor is coming from all right i'm gonna start out with about dang it i'd i'd say about eight ounces of water to start with roughly i believe you know i can't remember i think it was beef and rice the long-range patrol that we ate on eating history on the show was eight ounces of water right there probably gonna have to add more but you can't take it out once you put it in that's the thing so i'm gonna have to break out the spoon i'm gonna use a longer one that i have set in here it's one of the spoons from minotaur oh yeah definitely needs more water i'm just going to eyeball it all right another ounce and a half two ounces i mean i think you could almost eat this immediately basically turns into like beef mash potatoes almost which is why it's hash but oh yeah looking good yum yum smells amazing too by the way smells of beef and onion get a little bit of that garlic smell coming out of there too it also smells salty tasted that way too but you can like smell it where it's so salty hey mickey joe's here all right man might have had the day off today typically he's working today so uh usually don't see mickey joe anymore he moved on to a different job so that's why we don't see him as much mickey joe's good people you guys should go check out mickey joe's channel if you do you know what to do hit that subscribe button tell them old smokey sent you over you know do the thing all right well that's looking pretty daggone good now i'm actually going to stick this back in the bag that it came from oh come on don't be so difficult that metal will help keep it hot i think it was leaking just now too all right what i do with my napkin go oops good old classic imp napkin but yeah the uh the canadian iron p's i mean i've seen a little bit of what you guys were talking about they have became extremely rare and expensive like you can't you just can't find them they're not being turned loose anymore i got that beef powder everywhere there's really no point in even opening that you guys want to see this creamer if you do just let me know in the chat not thought i was supposed to have a pack of sugar oh there it is uh six and no winners that stinks look down at the chat i have no idea what's happening in the chat so oh by the way uh art was telling me they're gonna have some new mres case a and b's coming in same code over there os 10 you get 10 off of your order of a case of mres or first strike rations oh yes looking good looking good looking good look at that that's a beautiful sight oh and it just smells like sorbic acid what the heck anyway very very fine granule look at that extremely fun try to get it all out of that package and i was even able to preserve that package so now if anybody ever needed a tenco division of the coca-cola company linda new jersey package coffee instant type 1 style 2 or a composite style one composition two for display boom i got an extra no coffee in it but if it's for display it doesn't matter i'm gonna be trying to preserve as much history as i can with that okay wait a second let's take a look at missile cocoa beverage powder i gotta start getting some merchandise made up and i really want to make coffee cups baseball caps and t-shirts i want to do all that all right just i'm pretty slow on how to do that oh yeah look at that chocolate boulders mm-hmm oh no oh no oh no no well look at the moisture spots in that i assume that's what that is all right i'm gonna just take a bite of this and we're gonna see well that has a very vintage flavor to it um oh yeah that that tastes like uh kind of like axle grease smells um it's not numbing my tongue might be a little bit of a sting of my tongue though kind of i got i don't know i can't really tell because it's such a small but i gotta take a bigger bite oh it smells awful gail it smells like really musty old christmas decorations it's been in the basement for like five years that you forgot about um yeah no it's rancid very rancid uh i taste the uh oh spoiled milk solids and it is stinging my tongue and also numbing my tongue oh man it still has a sweetness to it from the sugar but that's no longer it's no longer cocoa beverage powder hmm i want to find a uh let me put this sugar in with this coffee as well just cut it open yeah even the sugar smells smells off smells bad i'm sure the sugar is fine though it's absorbed some of those oils but nothing major i'm gonna have to look through my minotaur stuff over here and see if i have any cocoa drinks or something along the lines of that over here and i got those let's kind of get to my throat i got those bars that dub c sent me setting out over here they've been uh i don't know they still stink they still smell like poop um especially this one the bread so it's nasty absolutely nasty and i've been munching on these too i think dan sent these these clinkers good old dan in australia or cyanide cookies as you guys know him uh mr gaming pro tonight is a uh 1977 food packet long range patrol beef hash what's up now oh whoa holy crap robin oh all right i gotta turn the camera around and say thank you for that super chat holy cow cause there's nothing to read there so all i can do is say thank you wow oh well here i'm turning the camera back down uh yes so this would be 44 to 45 year old beef hash very old meat that i'm consuming here all right i got this minotaur box here let me see what's in it i don't know what all's in here cocoa beverage powder or something what is that what is that [Music] smack bread well got that i guess that'll have to do what else in here oh vanilla dairy shake oh hey look at that i don't know should i do the chocolate milk then i haven't supposed to use ice cold water and i don't have any ice cold water on me just room temperature water wow but yeah thanks for that insanely large super chat robin me get back up here that was uh definitely unnecessary but thank you so much for that robin varnder i hope i pronounced that properly i need to add water to this what am i doing all over the place tonight losing my mind you're boom purist uh you know i this has got sugar in it i'm sorry but i like sugar i like creamer too in my coffee man and i probably have a creamer handy here somewhere uh maybe i thought i put some creamer in here on purpose i could have swore i did i guess not i guess not wait oh yeah coffee mate oh coffee make creamers wait to put that in there before i try it i want to try it all right well this man oh look at that look at the delamination my tongue is still numb by the way in case anybody was wondering uh got a horrible taste in my mouth tastes like it's very sour and my tongue is uh it feels really weird feels like kind of like i chewed on a piece of aluminum or something you guys know that that like weird feeling you get in your mouth if you have metal in your mouth like especially like aluminum something like that oh wow it's not a knife that's a knife i don't even have a knife in my hand or anything i don't know why i said that oh that smells much better much better by giannis the giannis was probably super fresh down here yeah maybe not nope yep wow look at that how weird is that it's got the date 2019 stamped in it unless this is from the 19th day of 2012. i guess that's possible huh weird weird weird weird should i dump this into a cup yeah probably should i hate not using these uh these really nice provided bag cut things that the bottle whatever you want to call them with the skinny middle i don't know what the technical term for this is is this a uh drinking pouch is this a uh a flexible bottle is this a flexible cup i don't know you got me and it just says see add to that line and always fold it like that so you got a real nice line on the inside we can actually take a look at what i'm talking about since there's no cocoa beverage powder in there but you can clearly see that line down in there oh yeah little little life hack for you you guys probably already knew it but uh been doing that for years with these types of packaging pouches and stuff 499 academy t-shirt is what clothes me what yeah wow i've almost used all my water i never do that hardly unless i'm eating a huge ration of some kind freeze-dried typically okay yeah yeah yeah do i want to open this spoon i just want to use one i have on hand here oh no oh no oh no no no no no oh no ah you know what i'm gonna use my australian spoon oh yeah my shovel love this spoon i lost one of them one time it broke my heart what's up smitty i see someone thinking smitty oh miss maryland miss marilyn you guys hey tell you what if anybody's in here right now uh anybody well anybody that is in here go type in and an allen.com on your google search bar and you're going to find one of the greatest desserts that you can find and they also sell coffee i think or they did you guys should go get yourselves a gooey butter cake made by miss marilyn though for sure all right let's set that over here it's got a nice little frothy top on it all right well let's go ahead and get into this bad boy what am i doing what am i doing today okay this is still nice and hot know what's cool about this too instead of it being in like the bags that they come in now the metal bags i can just throw this in the microwave later if i want although i feel like there'd be some harmful crap coming out of that plastic i could be wrong but yeah well yeah i'll probably take it out with plastic because i know i ain't going to eat all this right now but i'm going to eat some of it what does that look like that looks like refried beans am i wrong look looks like refried beans right well it's not it's beef hash duh potato right there on top you can barely still see i think they disintegrated but yeah that looks a whole lot like some some refried beans all right here we go down the hatch who's closing oh robert clean it clean your ar a1 well that sounds like a good one that tastes oh that's actually really good beef's a little tough but you know i thought the consistency was going to be a little odd but it does have a nice chew to it now the potatoes wow they add a lot to this you know they got a lot of flavor um oh that's what that is shot hang on all right i don't want to be gross but like i was saying the beef was tough hang on see that that is some sort of gristle or something it's nasty so they used pretty low quality beef in this and really spiced it up with the uh with the beef bouillon gravy base which is bouillon with the onion powder the garlic powder or salts but okay who's who did you say was closing miss marilyn you're not closing are you um it looks like stuffing too yeah hi sharon and litha been lurking here for a while uh goodnight murray all right give me a big old bite here sometimes people doubt that you eat this stuff this is almost 45 year old beef 44 for sure big bite so the consistency of reminds me of uh that's exactly what i was getting ready to say uh ruby ruby zara hill aka dragonfly it it's almost like a like a chunky mashed potato consistency it's just a little bit rougher as far as some of the parts are a little bit more rough in consistency or more solid it just smells like it almost only smells like fresh cooked beef i mean it really has a strong beef smell kind of like a beef mash yeah the freeze drying process it does something to all meats when you draw all the moisture out changes the entire consistency of it and trying to add that water back in it's very imperative to have the hottest possible water that you can get to put into the meal if not it won't penetrate the meat and uh the chunks of beef in here although some of them have rehydrated some of them that's not a that's not a rehydration issue that is a uh that is a quality issue the quality of this beef i would i would rank it to be like a i don't know say the typical 80 20 hamburger that we buy today let's make that our baseline for an a right a grade meat this would be like a probably like a c it's not horrible it's not an f i mean it's not even bad which would be a d i would say flavor wise it's great but it does have some some gristle i'm not a fan of gristle yeah quality wasn't so much a concern you're right quality control didn't do the job the best i'd say well i don't know i don't know if it would have been a quality i'd say it was just they were just using subpar beef and grinding it up because as you saw before pretty close about as close to being a dust as you could possibly get uh there were still some chunks and i'd say that most of the chunks were probably the harder more gristly type meat and when it hydrated when it rehydrated it turned into a paste you know i mean that that's literally like you could form stuff out of that i mean it's very the consistency is very similar to mashed potatoes i would say just made from beef but i mean i keep eating it because it's good i do like it you know those few issues with the gristle is not that big a deal because there's not a whole bunch of it some of it i've just chewed up and swallowed but i do like getting the potatoes in there too if it was beef pate i probably wouldn't be eating it although i will say some crackers would have been nice with this any type of crackers pilot bread square mre crackers anything of that sorts the round crackers from the can they could have packaged some of those up i'm sure they would have gotten busted up but they would have been nice to throw in this for the flavor and stuff like this oh yeah see i've seen uh seen that pop up in my feed history savior i just haven't watched it yeah l.a beach did a long-range patrol recently all right so i have nothing cold drink wise to wash this down which kind of sucks not gonna lie i really want something cold to wash down that salty beef yeah you guys if you guys want to see that cream we can open it here we go this coffee with just the sugar coffee instant type one type one coffee instant type one style one composition two all right here we go oh whoa oh man that that absorbed a lot of the flavor from that it still it tastes tastes rough it tastes i mean i get the acidity from it it just tastes like i'm chewing on a piece of old christmas tree out of a basement that's been mildewed it really has a mildew like how mildew smells that's how it's taste or like a car that it rained in that sat for like a month or something before someone got into it sealed up now we're going to open this stupid bar because i i hate the fact that it's not good because i can tell just by the smell of it all right here we go well that's interesting yikes huh oh it just smells so bad holy crap look how hard it is okay so it looks like it's wet all the way through the middle and boy does it stink that has a i mean just a sour odor it really smells like old cardboard and oil motor oil i i pick up a motor oil essence to that that just really turns me off on one want to eat it oh man i cut that chunk off what what even is that is that a piece of the orange essence man oh it's hard it's hard hard there's a different type of it's like glass almost surely that's not what it would be right laugh out loud motor oil equals not good yeah yeah not you don't want to smell motor oil in your food i mean it it really does have a a slight hint of motor oil i don't pick up any of the orange almost like a mentholy typo and that must be i'll bet you that's from the orange from the citrus oh it's so weird it smells like some really old cereal that i had before uh it smells like it's oxygen damaged and i know that's that's a hard description for me to give you guys without you knowing what that means or what that smells like but i really come back to that acidic stomach bile smell because that is what it smells like all right it just i mean this thing it ain't like the typical oatmeal cookie bars that you get you know from the early mres all the way up to 1998 or even later actually in the long range patrols all right i'm i i gotta try it right all right here we go oh ho ho boy oh oh oh i might have to go spit this one out i bit way too much off i don't want to swallow this oh it's making my tongue go numb real bad oh oh i can't even focus oh that is really really really really really really really really really sour and my tongue i don't know if my tongue's ever been this bad so instantly it feels like it sucked all the moisture out of my cheek and my tongue and under my tongue and you know that really dry feeling you get if like you eat some really weird greasy like cake or something i don't know like a like a coffee cake or something i gotta get a drink hang on oh the flavor of that's not much better i'm putting creamer in that see if it helps oh history savior uh not the smartest move you have ever made yep you are correct it's part of eating eating the history of these things i guess you gotta try them to see how they hold up i guess ah i want that rinsed out of my mouth even though it'll be in my stomach i might get a little bit of a stomachache from this one i don't know just from that corn flake bar pretty big enough chunk that might bother me maybe maybe not plus all the oils absorbed into this coffee as well and it tastes like it tastes like a sack full of smashed buttholes it's ah it's all stuck in my teeth i don't know that really dry like oh thanks for the super chat history savior man i forget to say that anyways thank you for that super chat history savior i gotta quit drinking that what is going on here okay well i gotta try yeah oh something that tastes halfway normal that doesn't even taste right to me right now it tastes weird huh i'm sure that's fine it's just me from this thing that is clearly meant for the trash i should have just kept it sealed honestly that'd have been a nice little little display bar but actually no it wasn't the writing on it was awful in awful condition i'm gonna take another bite of this get that flavor out of my mouth maybe while it's still hot this is still nice and hot that's that's kind of surprising i figured cool down by now but ordo militarius militarist radio yeah it definitely destroyed my taste buds the cocoa beverage powder tastes super weird coffee i mean it tastes different than it did before i took that bite of a cornflake bar orange flavored i really do enjoy the potatoes in here they're something else they absorbed a lot of that flavor that's that's a fantastic main i will say if i got this back in the day i would have been absolutely happy with it wouldn't have heard not one complaint out of me out of me with this because it is really good oh well other than the uh gristle hard chunks of gristle that are in there that i really don't like well my tongue is about halfway back to normal still burning especially on the side and underneath that's one of the worst reactions i've had on my tongue maybe ever definitely in a long time had cheese spread make my tongue go numb once super weird it's not typical for cheese spread to do that yep that's not bad that's not bad big is he big easy bag of food just i don't know what else do i have that i can share with y'all i could quit making disgusting eating noises that would be a that'd be a start for you guys huh try not to chew too much in in your you know in your ear and that microphone up there i don't like you guys to have to hear that i mean i am eating though so it's kind of impossible to avoid oh i forgot i had a pack of matches right there camel not much older than this uh in this ration here about 10 years 10 years old or newer 10 years newer than this ration roughly but a nice little vintage filtered camel here i'm gonna wipe that bad boy up yep step back a little bit hey ct's here what's up ct you guys go check out ct's channel type in uh ct pizza review or ct mre or imp review and that'll get you there like i said my description has basically nothing in it if you guys enjoy this type of stuff hit the thumbs up or down if you don't like it i'm going to get blurry and tell you you can hit the thumbs down or the thumbs up either way and if you want to help out getting this video passed around to the subscribers and all that stuff like that comment hit the thumbs up play with the youtube out play with the youtube i will go with them algorithm kick it up because uh that's the only way they're going to share my video with my own subscribers is if you guys hit the thumbs up with a down or comment on this video because youtube has shadow banned me they have uh it's pretty crappy it is what it is this is not the first time they've done this over the years it's probably the third or fourth solid time that i can guarantee you that they're throttling my account horribly um i wish i had good things to say about youtube i do i wish i wish i could come on here and be like oh it's the greatest place and we hit him no it's it's went so much downhill since since i started making videos on youtube and uh you know i've always been able to talk to people obviously you guys aren't in the room with me but i talk to you like you are and so i've never had an issue doing that as far as talking i've got the gift of gab whatever you want to call it but i never did well public speaking like i i really had an issue with that and my vocabulary was pretty limited before i started youtube still is i'm gonna lie i'd love to learn another language even get more in depth in my own language right i think we could all probably say that well not all of us but 90 of us could probably stand to do a little better on our vocabulary skills sometimes and i'm no exception i can gosh i there's tons of room for improvement but compared to where i started it's it's a difference i don't know how big of a difference it is because i just choose to not go back and watch my older videos and i'm trying not to say that um [Music] what blarney lady you have the gift of blarney lady lady blarney lady lady why did i say lady wyoming adventure says agreed smokey uh what are you agreeing with the fact we can all improve or that i'm in a different place now than where i started well just do it because you enjoy it screw youtube politics it's fun to share with everyone in the community exactly if i cared what youtube thought i wouldn't be here because they have tried their darndest in my opinion to uh discourage me from doing this so many times over the years that i've had things happen some out in the open some more hidden like now you know what what am i going to do about it not a whole lot i can do about it not a whole lot i can do as far as i mean i i could spend money on advertising maybe if i could figure out even how to do that i could uh i don't even know network outside of youtube try to make a larger following somewhere i could i don't know you guys give me ideas what i can do to improve my youtube presence because uh it seems like the type of stuff that you used to be able to do on youtube to do better you just can't you can't do it anymore and piece of beef up there gotta get rid of that i didn't have anywhere to put it these things have been open for probably a year and a half maybe longer and they're not in any type of sealed container like the other camels that i did i opened two cans of camels two cans of camels just saying that it's like wow i had two cans of candles sealed cans of camels that i've smoked on live streams that's a lot of a lot of cigarettes because that one can was a 60 count and the other one was a 50 40 or 50 count and i only smoked one a stream for a long time i only stream once a week so i've been doing this for years now i think i've been live streaming now for three solid years just about i think i started 2017 roughly you know that this thing's my point what i was going to say about these is they burn up which i talked most of that one away they burn up like the wick like the fuse on a on a piece of tnt and that's what the guys used to say about the those vintage four and five packs from the vietnam era that's what they used to say about those they used to say oh yeah them things they they light you light them up and they burn up like a fuse on a piece of tnt or something or on a firecracker not been my experience but that could have something to do with the fact that all the ones that i've smoked have been aged after aging in a hermetically sealed package for 40 50 60 years actually 50 60 70 80 years i think i can't remember what the older cigarette i've smoked but i have a pack of 1908 that i am very anxious to get to at some point in time in the near future that i can't wait to try out because i want to see what kind of differences there were if any oh sorry guys i i thought i was watching the chat but i must must have touched it at some point so i have another package sitting here that i have to get opened up i have um hang on so this little minotaur spice kit here and got this chili mac 2021 menu 13. everything's backwards chili mac is it backwards on your screen it's backwards on mine it means my hat's backwards too well it's backwards but it's also backwards of the lettering but yeah this is the arctic field ration for mentor been meaning to get to this but i also have another package that i've got to get to i don't have it handy right here or maybe i do randy got the package here from randy it has the beef with mushrooms in it and also the strange looking drink iron brew i think irn brew so that stuff right there i need to do that on uh on live streams rubies are my birthday is tuesday well happy early birthday what's your favorite history savior the beef with mushrooms all chili mac maybe maybe what happened to your truck ct i did an entire video on the oh oh really i had no idea uh i assume it's probably pretty good that's probably why he sent it ruby you're welcome i hope you have a good birthday tuesday tuesday be what the 23rd so i got a second chance on buying a car let me see what you guys think about this let me open it up also if you guys want to find some good information on long range patrols obviously you can go to info.com k man or mre info.com in the comments right here is the one that created that site creator of mre info.com is on my live stream here he's a superstar uh yeah cool i've already got pulled up how convenient so i got a second chance on this car right here yeah a lot of reflection and i'm really really debating on uh trying to get it i just checked back on my ebay i haven't been on here in a few days and i got this message from this guy like almost three days ago this car sold but of course as a lot of times on ebay it happens person did not come and pay for it so now i want to show you guys the real reason why i might want this car although it's a nice car leather loaded it's a 2ss got real nice wheels and ground effects kit that came on it's got a bigger spoiler that they put on there but right here this is the main reason why i'm considering getting this car yep that is a supercharger on the 6.2 liter in that car i think it makes right around 600 horsepower if i'm not mistaken and it's a six speed which i haven't driven really a standard outside of driving my son's car a tiny bit when i test drove it and we bought it and i may have pulled it around the block a few times or something uh think it's an lte it might be an ls2 there's an ls3 hang on maybe maybe it'll tell me uh it's got a lot of aftermarket parts 2010 2ss it's uh oh it's 620 rear wheel horsepower that's how much is actually getting to the rear wheel so that engine is probably making well it's making at least 650 probably more than that because you lose some horsepower through the drive shaft from the engine to the drive shaft to the rear end stuff like that uh it's got a magnuson tbs 2300 2.8 supercharger running at 8 psi which is good that's lower psi i don't want to do a 10 because the engine would wouldn't last it just wouldn't last you could daily drive this car a custom ground blower cam from tick performance 223 by 239 a zl1 fuel pump boil along two headers borla mid pipes borla catback qtp electric cutouts so the exhaust has cutouts raise up make it a lot louder probably dump it right in front of the rear seats or something like that somewhere along in that area it's got a her short throw shifter anyway i uh the front rear tires only have 2 500 miles on it that's a big plus because i can guarantee those are expensive that's got the hot wheels carbon fiber hood uh carbon fiber rear spoiler lingen felder engine covers factory ground effects package black leather interior power sunroof heated seats cold ac hot heat that is what the description thinks or says uh i can get it guaranteed well i think i can get it for 20 grand it's a lot of money it's a lot of money i've been saving up for a car for many many years though and uh yeah don't hit potholes yeah i know i was actually thinking about that aletha because my roads around here aren't that great but uh got a motorcycle license my uncle's gonna give me his 1975 oh wow i'll bet you that i gotta look that up gotta see a picture 1975 moto giza how you spell that guzy g-u-z-z-i it's easy whoa look at that well all right flipping the camera back around so i can actually show you guys this is what uh daniel just said the moto guzzi police interceptor 1975. huh uh yeah i've got a good daily driver i've been wanting something i when i had kids my sport my i used to always have a car sports car and after i had kids that went away and i've wanted one back ever since here i'll show you guys what else i'm looking at because i re i really kind of want a 2015 challenger but i can't find one in my price range so that camaro is a really good deal if i was to guess they got 20 grand in extra parts on that thing all right let me find it there's a 2014 challenger on here that i've been looking at pretty hard it's in my watch list i'm sure of it nope nope come on take me just a second to find it i guess unless somebody bought it today could have happened could have happened and i will be making videos with my cards i might make a whole special chant not special a different channel uh it's between that i would like to have a 2015 up mustang too but that camaro is sweet no oh okay it says unsold well that's that's a relief here we go focus camera let me turn my brightness up yes i know it'll hurt your eyes got it there we go it's a pretty sharp car and this one i i have a feeling would be pretty daggone reliable they both have about the exact same amount of miles on them what i really don't like about this one is it doesn't have leather interior yeah i'm being picky but that's the most amount of money i've ever spent my entire life in one go that's six speed two so that's that's nice but one thing i hate about this car is that it's got the five seven in it not a huge fan of the five seven i'd much rather have the six two but uh it does have the wheels that i like on it so i don't know really don't know what i'm yeah i was thinking about making an offer on this one and maybe being able to get this one seven thousand dollars cheaper than that arrow which actually that's a substantial amount of money i mean i i i don't know but you guys see the interior in this right let me show you real quick what the difference is i'm sure you put well maybe you don't know the difference but the the 2015 ups if i can find one probably not gonna be able to find one okay well this will be the same interior see completely different center console different infotainment center different gauges way different i don't know i guess i'm just asking for y'all's opinion to weigh in on on what i've been thinking about yeah i'm a huge advocate for leather because cloth i mean you can literally spill water on your cloth seats and it'll stain them you know sometimes a lot of times and i'm good at detailing cars it just kills my back anymore and i can't really do it i mean if we're talking dream cars like you know it my dream car is going to cost a lot more money than what i can save up what i have um dream car i've got like four i got a whole list of like 10 cars that would be my dream cars uh ordo says to get the chevy wow everybody well i got a couple umberto says ss all the way really wow didn't expect that not mopar fans huh the last car that i drove was a 93 we'll wow that's probably been a minute uh dan yeah i thought about that i could probably put a leather interior in that thing for 800 bucks go pull it out of a junk car out of a wrecked car um the thing is like the the big differences are the gauges and the infotainment center and what that infotainment center does in those 2015 and ups like they have all kinds of crazy add-ons like uh uh they have like it's like a trans break that may even be what it's called but it's like a race start and then there's uh it'll give you your 0 60 time how many g's you're pulling uh all kinds of fun driver information that is really advanced in my opinion to have in a car what what are we talking about just ordered my hobby a vest from there what are we talking about i bought a leather jacket on amazon i ordered it two sizes too big and it came three sizes too small ah i'm sorry pete that's just so typical of amazon like i'm i you'll never see me be an advocate for amazon i've thought about doing that amazon um what's it called dang i can't remember what it's called now it's just gonna tip my tongue oh affiliate like being an amazon affiliate and like putting links out there for everybody to use and every time they use my affiliate link i get like some pennies or something but uh yeah i guess i could still do that one of these days i don't know i don't know how productive it'd be and i got thick at the bottom real thick i'm still craving something else like i said i've been had these on standby here because i had them put away kind of tucked away and forgot about them these clinkers that dan sent me it's a pink one i can't really tell that's pink canyon almost looks white on my camera what is it you've only drove once kaelin well only only one vehicle truck belonged to the girl scout camp that your parents worked out while you was in college in the mid 80s i drove the line that my dad threw hay out for the horses wyoming adventures influencer what what we talking about i almost got a titan a couple years ago sort of regret not getting it the wife wasn't confident driving a big truck so we got a jeep what kind of jeep did you get did you get a grand cherokee or just a cherokee the new cherokees are nice i'd like to have one of those new hellcat cherokees though holy crap man them things are amazing oh a super chat oh i'm into pain whoa hey what's up long time no see wow holy crap no no doubt i would suggest going and checking out last week's live stream because it was it was uh it was pretty crazy and there's a lot of information and stuff about long range controls in the beginning of this one too if you're interested but it's really good to see you in the chat man you guys don't care to hit that thumbs up or down maybe the youtube algorithm will shine down upon me for a change and share this with my actual subscribers i doubt it oh no i got a pink one again dang it all right i gotta get a different one not that i don't like the pink ones because i do just wanted a different flavor pink again yikes ah yellow so i need to look where that other car is at this one seems like they were both about the same distance away this one's in michigan the other one's in virginia beach uh let me just see here how far away is redford michigan from my location the drive from your location to redford charter township is 315.2 miles 5 hours 10 minutes holy crap well it's almost three hours longer to go get the camaro and that would probably take me two days because all the stops that i'd have to make and stay in a hotel it would kill my back and leg it's a long drive the five hour drive is a long drive too within a couple weeks i have to get it in lexington kentucky which isn't that where minotaur is wait a minute isn't that where they're located am i wrong about that where's freaking minotaur located is it lexington or louisville old smokey if you're ever in redford michigan when the world opens back up please go see the show at the redford theater it's a lovely old building well that sounds interesting uh i may end up up there just all depends on which one of these cars i take the dive on um the challenger i wouldn't pay no more in 13 grand oh yeah that's another big thing on the challenger that i didn't tell you guys is it has a where's it at it's got a salvage title well a rebuilt salvage site same thing it's a salvage title so an active salvage title is a car that's not been rebuilt and what road worthy yet and and rebuilt salvage title is one that's roadworthy ready to go so the description of this one was that it had a little bit of right right rear er yeah it was right rear so this side right here damage somewhere in that area i'd be curious to know if it's full of bondo or something i hope it wouldn't be but it'd be much better to cut the quarter panel out and replace oh my chat's gone it's gone what the freak hang on maybe if i go through the motions here what the heck my little blue arrows popping up but nobody's chats are popping up [Music] all right hang on okay all right there we go the chat is back what that was all about but i take a nine hour drive to my grandparents we drive all the way there joe said it's not bad if you got somebody else to split the drive with you i mean that's that's kind of where i i get in trouble if i'm driving by myself i've got to get out every hour and a half at max two hours and i have to get up or out my back will spasm i'll have my legs will start swelling well my leg my left leg will start swelling up really really bad and it'll cause me more damage than you know than it's worth uh okay i'm back up there i have a pork with scalloped potatoes i'm into pain says pork with scalp potatoes is that the one i thought we did a pork one on eating history was it pork maybe it was pork with rice or was it beef with rice i can't remember what we had on there you know what sad i don't have a copy of eating history i'm gonna have to buy it i guess i kind of feel like i shouldn't have to they should give me that am i wrong about that is that being like am i expecting too much they should give me a copy of that show i feel like joe says we stopped at the rest stops yeah i do i do that a lot uh i'll stop and i'll sometimes i'll have to stay there for 20 30 minutes before i can even go back one you know get back in the car and continue the journey uh there's no way there was no way for me to refresh it wyoming uh to refresh it i'd have to back all the way out of the stream uh chris said i wish i had somebody to visit me well that sucks dang it is it on dvd uh i think you can buy it from history.com on dvd if you want to i think they sell all their shows on dvd over there you just have to go in there and order it i would like to have a hard physical copy that i could throw into a dvd player or something like that or even a digital downloaded copy something that i could pull up on my phone or something like that that i could watch anytime miss maryland says no i think they should i think they should give me a copy too i mean i'm not trying to be pretentious and i'm not trying to i mean i'm humbled by the whole experience and everything but i wouldn't mind having it no doubt daniel so history is about ready to start i've been seeing commercials with their new round of food programming and i have hope that since we got ran during the very beginning of covid when everybody was watching the news and i have screenshots of this new york times articles all kinds of different stuff talking about these news channels breaking their all-time high records for viewership every single day and i'm hoping that they that they play eating history again re-run it while they do this this whole they're doing the food that build america um which is a whole season in itself and then they're also doing uh it's called i think it's modern marbles and uh adam adam uh wow i just blanked on his last name i know his last name the guy for man vs food adam uh adam adam adam adam adam anyways he's hosting modern marvels now and those two shows are gonna be running together from what i could see so hopefully eating history will get some more play time during that time and uh maybe though it'll actually get some viewers some viewership we didn't do bad in the ratings in my opinion i think we finished up 38 in the top 100 our last episode we were like number 38 37 or 38 i can't remember i have screenshots of that too richmond yes jesse that's right richmond he's hosting it that's right uh dang it i couldn't remember but yeah i had to look it up yeah i don't know why i couldn't remember that because uh i i i've thought about it numerous times recently and it's not like i don't know that name i didn't think it was very bad at all and out of the top 100 g-shocks like i could probably pull it up here on my phone it seems like roughly about 60 percent so about 60 of the shows that were in the top 100 now the way that works i i found all this out as i was going through but the way that that works is they rate it by each half hour or hour and at 10 o'clock on wednesday every single show that's on television period the news pbs you name it you know public television doesn't matter every single show that was on at 10 o'clock is who we were up against right as far as the ratings go so thousands of shows literally thousands of television shows on at that point in time and we ended up finishing up 38th and we started off in the top 100 which is which is really good and i think the ratings list that i looked at like it listed the top two or three hundred something like that pretty good size list and uh and every single time we were in the top 100 ever since you know from very time we started airing and every single episode was in the top 100 not just the first half hour or anything like that it was every single episode every single new episode i should say was in the top 100 because those are the only ones that counted i guess and uh yeah i mean i thought we did pretty good so i just wish i could get some more some more play time honestly some more run time i feel like it deserves it plus like i said with their new line of uh programming being all about food it would fit in perfectly with the uh with the new programming and i kind of wish they'd held off and just premiered it with these other shows that would have been perfect just held off throughout the coronavirus because you know the beginning of it because the beginning of it like that was the only thing that you would hear on the news it was like and everybody would turn their news on and just leave it on there and that's that's what happened that's that's if anything hurt our ratings that's what it was people watching the news so unfortunately i would say that's probably definitely uh didn't help us all at all yeah these are pretty good yeah it was just bad timing it reminded me a whole lot of uh another thing that i had happened in my life that ended up being just horrible timing it was back in 2007. ended up getting a job at what i would say was one of the best places to work in my area it was a fantastic place to work i loved working there with the people and stuff i mean it was a horrible hard job a horribly hard job and the hottest job i've ever had in my life standing over top of molten metal with a 20 pound spud bar that felt like it weighed 100 pounds because of the magnetism of the pots that you make aluminum in make them with electricity which creates magnetism on the pots crazy it's crazy to see aluminum made and it's it's a strange process compared to how other metals are made aluminum is very interesting and i've worked in a steel mill before and it's made with fire you know um aluminum is not aluminum is made with electricity passing through it it makes the the molecules bounce off each other and create so much friction that it it melts the metal and you stick carbon these big pieces of carbon down in the top and then you gotta adjust these pots to make them run just right i think we had 160 164 pots per line and we had four lines so there was a bunch of pots 164 times four is whatever like 750 pots something like that a lot round about that number oh my chat quit again never seen it at all what are we talking about fan of the brown bag hash saw salt with my own eyeballs wait what curious pete i know smokey is a fan of the brown bag hash so yeah uh corned beef hash is my favorite mre menu of all time you know i've been thinking about that a lot oh okay ruby well you can go to history.com and watch it for free if you have cable or satellite or anything like that you can go to history.com and log in on your home wi-fi it'll take you right into history.com and you can watch it for free they sell it here on youtube i'm gonna have to buy it i guess so i have a download copy of it pretty sure they do they did hopefully it's still available for purchase let's see yep right there paid show there was a bunch of other new clips uploaded last time i looked on here that i hadn't seen before 10 foods that were done it's funny because this uh weird history tasting history with max miller started popping up when you type in eating history and that that's what pops up first the tasting history with uh with max miller it's interesting 7up bottle wait what bottler's flavor huh okay looks like canned spaghetti that kid's eating boy that is awful looking where are those clips at that i was telling you guys about nathan got a new video up a week ago oh this is one of my favorites right here i'll never forget that day right here uh because i ate all the same bugs that josh did except for one because we only had one and uh they didn't show me eating any 80 bucks which is fine that video right there well crap is on my channel they had me upload that on my channel and i made that thumbnail for it in that video it continues to get a crap ton of views well it's on some sort of different history channel uh youtube channel and it's like they've all disappeared i like this kid here that bulman's vegetable mix right there i can buy one of those right now but it's like 40 bucks something like that thinking about taking the taking the dive and buying it i didn't i've never seen that clip do expiration dates matter um some do and some don't you want an honest answer to that some of them matter some don't okay answer me this i bought a gallon of chocolate milk see what you guys think about this about a gallon of chocolate milk not that long ago the uh the purchase date the best before date the best before purchase date or i can't remember how it's worded it's the date that you're supposed to buy it by anyway was the 17th of this month well the other day on the 16th so this was in four days ago i grabbed that chocolate milk got it out of the fridge took the cap off and smelled it and it was completely gone i mean completely went bad why is it that chocolate milk goes bad faster than regular milk because it's only one percent uh the chocolate milk that i that i buy which is just like a walmart brand i think or it might yeah i'm pretty sure it is but it always goes bad and typically it always goes bad before the date on the bottle i don't understand it where in the heck did all these clips go that's josh's after show that was fun that's also on my channel project blue book uh another josh what the heck happened to those clips they disappeared i wonder if they were illegal or something you know i'm really wondering now oh somebody reviewed the show huh oh i don't know if i want to watch [Laughter] that somebody reviewed the show that's kind of cool it's first i've seen of that uh oh they got my real name on there weird is that a hindu history what what is that it's so strange wow you gotta buy a sneak peek okay i don't know what happened all those clips guys i'm sorry that i stood here and scanned through all these because i they were right at the top 1.6 okay oh what is going on here i gotta click on one of these guys i can't can't put it on the channel but whoa oh this is so weird [Music] somebody dubbed in my voice in a different language that's that's pretty awesome oh there's all kinds of clips like this on here too wow that stuff wasn't on there last time i looked that was just that's two weeks ago two weeks ago huh i don't know why they're using my real name like that that's so weird anyway huh okay now i'm looking at the chat guys wally world gave me nightmares what wally world off of the uh off the movie dandy i ran the fresh side of walmart for four years and currently run a small town grocery store i'd give you nightmares yeah a lot of people don't understand what happens like what really happens and let's just say in general in the food industry uh well some people know but they definitely tune it out and decide to not think about it you know there's no doubt about that i'm guilty of it myself because i mean not eating beef and stuff and pork it's not really something that i've ever considered honestly but i also am an animal lover and i know how these animals are slaughtered and it's it's it's tragic you know what i'm saying like it can get tragic so yeah that i prefer not to know afraid i'd starve if i did know yeah see i made the made the bad choice of watching that food inc movie back in the day and also where i've really gotten into you know all foods not just military rations but food in general and researching history and really kind of understanding a little bit more about the food process not only how foods are processed but also processed foods and preservatives that are added to food and certain things that it just i honestly try to tune it out not gonna lie there's a lot of things that uh i you know if i thought about it too much i i wouldn't eat certain things uh you live 10 minutes from a local slaughterhouse and it's crazy what they do yeah see well okay so you're not close enough to hear it that's that i'd probably be a vegan if i lived that close to one there used to be a a pork processor up here in town it's not i mean it's not open anymore but uh yeah they used to process pigs in there it's just different nowadays i mean we're all it's the world's so big there's so many people to keep up with the demand some pretty brutal stuff goes down you know what i mean it's all the smells i can imagine probably something like that ration that i opened up last week your first live stream juice shorts i was working at walmart hiding in the produce room watching that's funny let me uh i'm gonna move this tray and uh get a couple kittens let's do that bring them in here some long range patrol kitties all right i got to save the toilet paper a little sugar packet i cut open put all that back in the bag up here cream substitute and i will be finishing that just i can't eat it all at once it's too much too much salt all right i'm just going to set that coffee down right there and i'll carry this in there when i go get them don't cry yes little lion a little tiger here we go they can't really walk yet and uh i told caveman about this today but i've been thinking about starting a tick tock and monitoring these guys with a little minute or two video every single day on tick tock and uh watching them grow up to where they start playing and stuff because they're just now i mean they've had their eyes open i think three days or has it been longer than three days oh why get that stuff off your eye little [ __ ] little goopy eye this one right here his eyes don't they don't get nasty this is baby garfield his daddy name is garfield and he looks just like this little orange cat come here all the girls just went to bed no you have to get them up g-shocks [Laughter] i wish i could bring one of these to you you probably can't have it though where you live i don't know i'd almost do it though what i think this one's got cross eyes his mommy's got cross eyes here stand up right there come here come here runt this is the runt oh it's okay it's okay let me wipe your face dang it it's okay it's okay it's okay come here come here oh my come here come here that's a boy garfield here walk over here buddy folks can see you he's up on four legs just barely he's super wobbly [Music] what buddy or baby i don't know what you are yet boy or a girl i don't even know if i can tell no okay okay i'm gonna take you back to your mommy and get the other two you're moving around pretty good there little garfield oh oh goodness all right all right all right being a cry baby huh i don't trust him okay these two are being pretty quiet so far that's the biggest one and that's the second to the littlest one what what baby oh i'm crying you can't stand up yet can you you can't even stand up yet can you uh-huh come here little black one let me look at your face it's got [ __ ] in his eyes too i don't know how to prevent it i clean them out every day for them to get nasty only one of them not both eyes come here okay here he is he's got a little stuff in his eyes still but not not too bad or she this one can't even stand up oh come here little one come here oh your little eyes nasty a little eyeball's nasty that's not too bad i think this one might have long hair it almost looks like it's going to have long fur here let go oh it's okay look you're not gonna go anywhere come here oh little wobbly guys you're a little bit wobbly you're a little bit wobbly look how wobbly they are they're not shaking from being scared or anything they're just wobbly yeah you can't stand up hardly can you if i touch you you'll fall over because you try to walk on your little claws oh you're too cute you're too cute yes you are let me see water what's my little baby it's okay oh no yeah they're definitely wobbly they are wobbly come here yes you're tiny you're tiny yes your little eyes got [ __ ] in it dad going it that going it here oh there you go taking off walking that slick surface is not doing anything for you is it if you like little kitties hit that thumbs up for us huh hit that thumbs up here with your paw yay look at that them claws you got crumbs on your belly from my table sorry about that little one sorry about that do you have them too probably it's okay it's okay it's okay look how big this one's paws are hang on buddy look how big he's a big one or she's a big one i don't know i can't tell i think they're just about old enough to be able to tell anybody know what that is let me know because i don't have a clue no they're so cute they're so cute hi baby they know my voice really really well yes it's okay it's okay yes i think this one is gonna have long hair though it does like it's a lot bushier than the rest of them but it's dad's not long hair and it's mom's not long hair my old cat woke me up to show me that's funny come here come here come here oh you use a little baby yeah yeah oh yes yes dad want it you're too cute i don't know i guess they do look pretty different okay i didn't google this yet aren't most all black cats males or am i wrong because i've never seen a female all black cat i mean the the females i have saw have had like white like a white spot on their belly this thing doesn't have a white spot on it nowhere like it's all it's all black cat no spots nowhere not even under its chin or anything it's all black kitty and i think all black cats are typically males i can vouch for having a few female black cats really huh well i guess i was wrong huh i guess just typically all i usually see is the males got a couple all black males oh look at you you can't even move oh oh you're watching an episode of modern marvels with adam richmond where they were making chocolate covered bugs huh is that on tonight or something weird but yeah i knew they were going to start that programming soon and uh i don't know i'll tell you guys about it after it airs i can't tell you now so i know something i know a lot actually about that show insider information oh here let's do this here he's getting right up on the camera oh boy oh the little gray one he just can't move look at him little fella oh the black one getting around good the big gray one i think where he's so much bigger he's having a little more trouble getting around kind of dragging their back legs along they're shoving with them but they're they're not doing much for them as you can see what little gray one what i'm not going to name them they all have homes now so i'm not going to name them as soon as they're gone as soon as they're yeah as soon as they're gone i'm gonna take the mommy and get her fixed she was just a stray that showed up a siamese she looks like a full-blooded siamese stray that showed up oh yes you're cute i think you know it i think you guys know that you're cute what are you meowing about baby huh what are you meowing about huh let me get this coco beverage powder away because i don't want you guys getting that on you oops there we go there we go what what what are you doing little one huh what are you doing little one huh come here come on come here come here hi baby yeah this one is it's the biggest cat and it's the only one that can't like set up and move around on all four legs yet so they're not exactly uh playful and fun yet they don't even play with each other but you're funny to watch try to walk around you got like little frog legs behind you you look like you got little frog legs stretching out behind you you know you can get up on all four your left feet look that one under you put that one under you like this that's how you do it right there careful you can do it easy that put it back underneath you i'm trying to help you i'm trying to help you trying to help you you silly kitty hi you're all over the place you're all over the place you having fun yeah you happy to be out of your box you guys happy to be out of your box huh you're really getting the hang of it aren't you oh there you go your feet i'm trying to help you hold your feet for you so they don't slide oh you got turned around that's good you going in circles are you coming to me you gonna come to me huh you're so fluffy you're so fluffy that long hair you're so cute okay guys don't forget to hit that thumbs up or down either way if you learned something from this great and if you enjoyed it that's great if you didn't understand i totally get it live streams are not for everybody i want to say a huge thanks to everybody who sent a super chat in tonight and also another huge thanks to my patrons you guys um i've been thinking about uploading some unedited footage over there for you guys i don't know if you'd like that or not i mean i hate the idea of having that unedited footage up there but at the same time like it's it's content that probably a lot of people aren't going to get to see i've got i don't even know how many ration reviews that i've done that that something was wrong with that i wouldn't post um i've been thinking about putting those up and you know having them locked here on youtube or private or whatever and sharing them over there on the uh on patreon so you guys could see those like the the footage of me and steve at the uh at the meet up and stuff like that but i don't know i don't know if that's something that would be worth you guys time or not because i'd like to give you guys something like that on patreon just that you could have that nobody else could could access so anyway so this has been another week with the kittens this is uh is this the third saturday i think it's the third saturday i don't think i probably couldn't show them the first saturday because they were only three days old four days old they were born on a wednesday morning and uh see that have been thursday morning friday morning yeah they only been three days old you know because thursday morning they'd have been a day old friday morning two days old saturday morning three days old so yeah anyways second week with the kittens oh you don't like being upside down i know i know yes wave bye-bye leave bye can you wave by oh oh here come here come here come here i got you come here oh you're so precious you're so precious him goes right to sleep as soon as i grab the scruff of his neck he just went right out boom like a light and it's okay buddy come here or a little girl whatever you are anyways it was great having all you guys here tonight again thank you guys for the super chat chats of robin barndoo with the largest super chat tonight barn doe sorry uh huge thanks for that and everybody else who also contributed history savior got that giveaway coming up tomorrow live stream ration museum you guys definitely show up to that i'll try to be there and hanging out in the chat like i usually am so i can do any type of question and answer thing while we're over there messing around and uh i think sean's gonna be eating a well he's gonna be having my favorite menu i do believe tomorrow like a 92 corned beef hash which will be probably amazing and he opened up a really weird case that i don't know somebody was into already but he got two corned beef hashes in there and like three ham slices so actually not a bad case to be honest you having those extra menus like that because those menus right there hold up well and they're good menus so but anyways huge thanks to you guys for just spending any amount of your time over here with me i really do appreciate it your time is valuable and i recognize that and i appreciate that so again thank you guys so much for spending your time with me and uh the little kittens here for a little bit too they appreciate it don't you little one no look how cute yeah he said yeah or she said yeah whatever it is i don't know what it is but all right guys i guess now really all i got left to do is say thank you guys for watching don't forget the rash museum live stream tomorrow and i'll see you on the next live stream
