for the kickstarter video of 100's vivid kingdom i gave life to his stock case design here is the method i used you will need two versions of the box design one with the die cuts and folding lines and one with the artrak only using the import image as plane addon import the first design use loop cuts to subdivide the image following the template press shift for finer control double press j to slide edges try to avoid using hand guns and only use quads to obtain a better shading and smoothing later add more geometry using the knife tool [Music] when you're done delete the extra faces split vertices to separate adjacent parts and slightly offset the new vertices to make them easier to select later [Music] [Music] add an armature and place it to the center of the main panel with snapping set to edge center or vertex extrude burns along every panel in this fashion delete the unnecessary bones and rename the remaining ones to make the parenting easier [Music] parent the armature with the box selected go into edit mode and set the weight of each panel to its corresponding bone but then parent the vertices that are on the pivot of the bulb don't forget to check that everything is parented properly [Music] do [Music] swap the texture to the one without the template animate everything [Music] and here it is a fully rigged box let me know what you want to see next
