Fly Fishing Red Water for Big Brook Trout | Red Run West Virginia

[Music] hey what's going on guys I got a pretty cool video for you today I'm currently standing on the drive Fork River in West Virginia earlier today we fish brook trout and red run it's one of the neatest pieces of water that I've ever fished super tannic looking water off from all the hemlocks and everything and it just has worked route written all over it but beautiful high gradient stream that just does plunge boy after lunch boy just has a great red color to it which is where I give his name and I just thought it was really cool fishery and gotten gotten to some pretty cool fish which you'll see and probably gonna fish for some smallmouth here on the dry fork so the key upstate had is a good buddy of mine Kevin Harris his family's camp and he's part of the gnarly tree outdoor gang which they have a YouTube channel and Instagram I'll link that below the description they got some good content and the good group of guys would do pretty much everything in the other photo so check them out and like I said see how it goes rest of the day stay tuned there he is Smalley took the little hairs here Nev that's pretty wild decent fish yeah good start to the morning around the core of the mouth that's awesome huh nice little guy not really sure what's in here this Creek dumping in is red run and it's fly-fishing only so I know there's trout in there and it's like a a tannic water looking creek real dark because that's where it gets its name red run and this main river is off color right now there's a little high the odds are kind of against this but see what happens as a good start only been here about 15 minutes so maybe we can get into a few more small E's at least that's a brookie that's a big one dude yeah man it's good fish yeah good fish man easily bugger yeah nice [Music] areas [Music] another smallmouth up in here or some pretty fish though little guys but pretty oh yeah there's got to be fish up there it's small woolly bugger and a nymph behind it sometimes I usually let it drift through just dead trip a couple times and then I'll push it through the smallmouth have been taking the woolly bugger and the trout took the hem so kind of catching both [Music] oh that's a big one big brookie the Beast holy cow what a fish yeah what a fish [Music] that dude [Music] [Music] just fish Wow [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
