Fluke Fishing Takes Off! Double Limit + Weakfish!

supposed to lay down and um I'm actually fairly confident gonna catch some fish and that's uh a lot to be set for the way the fluking has started off this year but we'll see what happens and this is Eastern Long Island [Music] oh man it's June and I'm still wearing full Slickers and top even inside the bay and this is like you know 11 o'clock trip uh you know I can kind of get away with leaving those clothes on a little bit longer because these um they're Bimini Bay I think the model's Boca Grande the top the Slickers they're breathable and yeah they're real comfortable I kind of got turned onto those down in Florida because it gets warm there and sometimes I want to have some stuff on so all right there'll be links to all the gear in the video description if you like this video please it's the best color and I have no idea you know um my favorites white glow blue few salmon red pink shine these blue fews seem to be working pretty well for me this year hey getting back to our ongoing discussion on the comment section about left hand or right hand bait casters watch where my left hand goes right there to set the hook and um that's why uh you know I prefer to have a right-handed retrieve on a baitcaster or a conventional reel you'll get to see it again here when especially from this angle it's good yep there it is yep you know what get hit boom the hand goes up there set that hook and then very naturally for me the right hand goes over to the Reel of course yeah everyone's different it's just what I prefer all right one for the cooler right off the bat so uh yeah good start I always love when the first fish is a keeper fluke and not like a sea robin or something okay same Drift But it's actually like my third drift I had a couple of like uh five to eight minute drifts just trying to get the you know get the drift figured out even though I'm using the trolling motor I'm trying to run an edge and uh also using that trolling motor to deal with the Wind little sea robin no no what a strange strange hit and find everything else it's gonna be really close no not that close at all the easy keeper foreign got a meal of fluke had him last night for dinner for the IGA and you get the Greek pasta salad and people there you still there you still there not there these are the most screwed up flutes I have ever hoped in my life I cannot believe that's a fluke I think did absolutely nothing thank you I'm gonna be short it's over 19. oh with that wind howling along you'll see what I'm doing is I'm really like pointing that trolling motor into that wind and just trying to negate the wind factor and drift down the line that I want to drift come on eat that eat that not a big fish or a Wiki so I'm actually not using the trolling motor to you know to move the boat as much as I am to steer it I'm drifting now broadside right down the line where I want to go and the trolling mode is just keeping me from blowing too far in foreign fish anyway yeah it's gonna be a keeper hit the right spot on these things they die real quick and all the Blood Out Bingo and the meat's gonna come out beautiful white all right another Wiki would have to be a pretty small one okay that's where I caught the other one though great to see great oh that's the one that's a good one anyway oh nice fish all right well I already got a limit so no need to net between breaking the leader perfect perfect figures you know you get your limit then you get the biggest one of the trip all right do better than that I wasn't even sure it just felt like a little bottom grab definitely keeper keeper number six again not gonna net him look at a little stuff he spit up okay perfect all right perfect and this is why you net fluke you could see the two that you know I didn't need didn't net off they went it's fine another great thing about the trolling motor is you see me hit the button often when I hook up or you know when I land a fish what I'm doing is I'm hitting spot lock to hold my position to not lose any of the drift foreign because I can and yeah he's uh 19 inches so that's uh not as big as the other ones like dropped seven one more [Music] hell is that probably a weekend yeah third one today like I said the wind would drop out when it did it was like somebody flipped the light switch off so look Nick right now I could just do natural drifts without the trolling motor but I want to run a curved Edge the only way you're going to do that is if you troll so this is really the first time I'm using the motor to troll and not just hold the like a position or steer this is actually trolling along the edge it's the only way I can run a curve yeah and I know you could program this thing to run that curve I just haven't given the thought to it and I'm just doing it manually because it's easy enough to do thank you yeah I know them because I don't want them thrashing like that and they can snap a leader doing that so you can use the net to put them in the boat all right definitely the best one of the trip there yeah what you'll hear next is a boat above the video frame I really appreciate you saying that thank you thanks that's thanks for
