okay you got your flex paste and you're ready to go but first here's a few things you should know before you get started with Flex paste first make sure you read the directions you'll find important information on dry time cleanup and preserving flexpays clean your surface so it's free of grease oil and dirt protect areas you don't want to flex paste to ensure clean lines and it's always a good idea to wear protective gloves clothing and eyewear getting started with flex paste use a flathead screwdriver to remove the lid on your flex paste container see that moisture absorbing silica pack put it aside and save it now carefully remove that protective foil same thing put it aside save it you're gonna need the foil and the silica packet later when it comes to the cartridge it's as easy as one two three one unscrew the cartridge tip to remove the nub with a sharp knife but try not to remove any of the screw threads and three cut the cartridge tip in the center or to your desired thickness screw the tip back on and you're ready to go applying flex paste no need to shake or stir your flex paste is ready to go using a putty knife trowel or similar tool remove an even layer of material off the top of the surface try not to scoop too deep this can cause air pockets that could dry out your flex paste replace the protective foil as much as you can while working to prevent drying during application apply a generous amount to the surface using an even motion and when applying flex paste on wet surfaces or under water you may want to go and etch that surface to increase adhesion of your flexpays flexpays drying time once Flex paste is exposed to air moisture or humidity it begins to cure and forms a skin within fifteen to thirty minutes now allow each coat to dry before applying additional coats flexpay's fully cures in 24 to 48 hours flex paste helpful hints and clean-up spackle and joint compound require sanding with flex paste like sanding is power of all but not recommended just smooth the flexpays to your desired finish or add your own artistic textures don't wipe any excess flex paste on the inside of your container this can lead to drying and before your next use remember to remove any dry flex paste that may have formed on the inside of your container don't use water to clean uncured flex pace instead use a dry cloth or paper towel mineral spirits and denatured alcohol can help speed up the process storing your flex paste for later use remember that protective foil and silica pack when you want to store your flexpays for later use replace the protective foil by pressing it in the center of the surface of the material continue pressing outwards so the foil always remains in contact with flexpays and make sure no air pockets have formed between the foil and the product once you reach the edge of the tub just tuck that foil around the inside perimeter and always keep the excess foil facing up now replace that moisture absorbing silica packet and secure the lid tightly to increase the life of your Flex paste store it in an air-conditioned humidity controlled environment and that's how you use flexpays again please make sure you read all the directions carefully [Music]
