Fix NEED FOR SPEED Unbound DirectX Function Error (DXGI ERROR DEVICE HUNG/REMOVED/RESET

hello guys welcome to my Channel today in this video I'm going to show you how to fix DirectX error with NFS Unbound game on your Windows computer so if you are receiving this dxgi error access denied or DX GI error device hung or dxgi error device removed so if you are receiving this these error messages with NFS Unbound game on your Windows computer then please follow the steps shown in this video now the first step is to delete dx12 file now this has worked for me so it might work for you so go to the game installation folder so wherever the game is installed go to the game installation folder so open File Explorer on your computer and then go to this PC open C drive if the if the game is installing C drive open C drive open program files x86 open Origin Games over here you will find the game folder if you have installed the game from EA app you might see EA games or you can open program files if you find EA Games over here you can open EA games now if they if you have installed the game on Steam then you can open program files x86 open the Steam folder open the steam apps folder open the common folder over here you will find the game folder that is named as Excalibur I think so go to the game installation folder in my case the game is installed in D drive so open the open the game folder now over here open Shader cache folder now over here you will find pcdx12 file now before you delete it create a backup so you can copy it and you can paste it to the desktop you can just create a backup so that if if you want to keep the file back you can always keep the file back over here now delete the this delete this dx12 file make a right click and then click on delete now go to the documents folder and then open the Need for Speed folder now open the cache folder now over here also you will find PC dx12 folder make a right click and then click on delete and once you delete it now launch the game now this has worked for many players so it might work for you now the next step is to switch to Native resolution so launch the game and if whatever resolution you are selecting on game select the same resolution in Windows settings so make sure that you select select the monitor resolution now for this open Windows settings and then go to system and then over here select this recommended one in my case I have 1920 into 1080p resolution so you can select the a recommended one and select the same resolution in the game and then check now this has worked for many players so it might work for you next step is for Xbox controller user so if you're using Xbox controller install Xbox accessories app so for this open Microsoft store on your computer and then in the search box type in Xbox accessories and then click on Xbox accessories app and over here if you see the install option to install accessories app then install it then open Xbox accessories app now once you open Xbox accessories app these options may be grayed out that means it is not connected so make sure that you connect the Xbox controller using the USB cable so you have to connect your controller using the USB cable and then this option would be highlighted click on this three Dot and then click on update controller in my case I don't have any update so it you can click on update and let the update complete even if there is no it's showing no update you can still go for update and let the update complete so let the update complete now the next step is to select debug mode in Nvidia control panel so go to desktop make a right click on the desktop then click on Nvidia control panel now on the top here you can see help click on help and then put a check on debug mode once you enable debug mode Now launch the game now the next step is to do a clean installation of a graphics driver so if you have Nvidia card go to Nvidia website if you have AMD card go to AMD website I'm showing for NVIDIA go to Nvidia website select your graphic card from the list make sure that you select your graphic card over here and select the right operating system so if you have Windows 11 select Windows 11 if you have Windows 10 select Windows 10 then click on start search now scroll down over here you can see this is the latest GeForce game ready driver so install this GeForce game ready driver right now the driver version is five to six period nine eight this is the latest one right now so whichever is latest click on get download and then again click on download now now let the download complete once the download is complete run the exe file then you will see the screen click on agree and continue and then put a check on the box which says custom and then click on next then again put a check on the box which says perform a clean installation make sure that you put a check over here first and then click on next and let the installation complete now once the installation is complete make sure that you restart your computer now the next step is to install Nvidia Studio driver so you can go to Nvidia website once again select the right graphic card and operating system click on start search and over here you can see Nvidia Studio driver try installing the latest Nvidia Studio driver click on get download make sure that you do a clean installation again restart your computer and then launch the game next step is to run the game on dedicated graphic card so type in graphics settings in Windows search box and then click on Graphics settings now click on browse go to the game installation folder select the game exe file click on add in my case this is already added click on the game select options select high performance now click on Save again click on browse select the trial exe now click on ADD once the game is added click on options select high performance performance save Now launch the game next step is to try Window mode and lower down Graphics settings so if you are able to launch the game if you are able to switch to Window mode you can try switching to Window mode so you can even try borderless mode and then check also lower down graphic settings now go to settings and then go to Graphics so select graphics and then turn off motion blur now scroll down now a full screen is selected you can try Window mode you can even try borderless and then check the performance now turn off vsync turn off Dynamic resolution scaling and scroll down now over here if Graphics quality is set to ultra you can try high or you can even try medium or you can even go for low performance so for graphics quality if this is set to ultra you can try medium or high and then check the performance now the next step is to update Windows to the latest version so hope this is important so go open Windows settings go to update and security or Windows update and then click on check for update once all the updates are installed restart you can be right and then launch the game next step is to install DirectX for this copy this link the link is provided in the video description open this link in a browser it will take you to Microsoft website click on download and then run this exe file click on yes to allow now click on accept and then click on next uncheck install Bing Bar and then click on next and let the installation complete after the installation restart the computer and then launch the game next step is to put these in launch option so steam users can try this I don't have the game on Steam I have the game on Origin or E app so make a right click on the game make a right click on NFS game and then select properties in the launch option type in dash D3 d11 type in Now launch the game if that does not work type in dash dx11 and Now launch the game if that does not work type in dash dx12 and then launch the game and check if nothing works you can remove everything from here and then follow the next step next step is to verify the game files so on the game select properties go to the local files tab and then click on verify Integrity of game files after the verification launch the game now for origin users go to library click on the settings click on repair for for EA app users click on the game title click on Three Dots and click on repair and after the repair launch the game next step is to increase the virtual memory now for this type in view Advanced system settings in Windows search box and then click on view Advanced system settings now click on the first settings and go to the advanced tab now click on change over here now put a check on the Box by default this box would be checked that says automatically manage paging file this this will be checked uncheck this box select the drive where the game is installed and then put a check on custom size and then for initial size this is working for me so you can try this initial size is 1.5 into total Ram you can check the total Ram in Windows settings so Google system and then go to above and over here in my case the total ramp is 8 gigabytes so check your total RAM and for me it's 8 gigabytes so first of all you have to convert gigabyte into megabytes so open calculator and for me it's 8 if you have 16 type in 16 for me it's 8 gigabytes so eight into one zero two four I will convert this to megabyte that is 8192 into megabyte that is 8192 megabyte into 1.5 into 1.5 that is 12 to 18 12 288 maximum size is 3 into total Ram so total Ram is one eight one nine two in megabyte into 3 that is two four five seven six so I'll type in two four five seven six and then click on set okay okay apply okay okay now launch the game now the next step is to disable steam overlay or origin overlay for steam users go to steam maker right click on the game select properties uncheck the box which says enable the steam overlay while in game uncheck this box for origin users or app user go to game properties uncheck the box which is enable origin in game so uncheck this box if this is checked if you are using origin if you're not using origin you can skip this step also close all the overlay applications so if you have Discord running close Discord if you have GeForce experience running close GeForce experience also close all the overclocking applications so if you have MSA afterburner running close it if you have reward tuner running close yet so close all the overclocking application and then launch the game next step is to disconnect multiple monitor so try launching the game on single monitor also unplug all the USB devices which you are not using so if you have these devices connected disconnected and then launch the game also if you have these software running close this software so make sure only the game and the stream is running or only the game and the EA app or origin is running rest close everything including all the browsers also remove the underworld so if you have under voted your computer remove the underboard and then launch the game now the last step is to perform clean wood we have already done this so perform clean wood for this type in system configuration in Windows search box and then click on system configuration go to the services Tab and then put a check on the box which says hide all Microsoft services make sure that you put a check over here first and then click on disable all in my case this is grayed out I already did it in your case this would be highlighted so put a check on height or Microsoft Services then click on disable all then click on apply click on OK you will see a restart option restarting computer and then launch the game so one of the steps shown in
