Fishing For FAT Hybrid Bass

oh i think i just got nicked oh let's go oh oh no it broke well guys welcome back we're going out fishing again and today we're actually trying something different today we're actually going hybrid fishing and if you don't know what hybrid is it's a mixture between a white bass and a striper they're really fun to catch in my opinion they're funnier to catch than large mouth bass because they fight super super hard and it's really fun to catch them so we're actually going to a dam and we're not we're not using the kayak today we're actually bank fishing we've been here in about a year i'm not too sure if i'm even going to catch anything but i'm hoping i do the hybrids here they get really really big so i'm pretty excited i'm hoping to catch a few to make a nice video for you guys i have about an hour to drive so you guys stay tuned and i'll see you guys then [Music] [Music] [Music] man this drone is so cool i only brought one rod out today we're actually just gonna be throwing around jerk baits because that's typically what these fish eat i'm actually gonna be throwing a lucky craft it is the pointer 100 and yeah this bait has seen seen some fish okay let's start fishing first cast now last time i was here the water is pretty up high it seems like it's dropped down by like two feet already it's interesting oh i think i just got nicked oh let's go oh oh no it broke no way i think it got tangled up in a rock or something what that was like my second cast yeah i think i got tangled up in a rock my line is like literally frayed oh what oh i lost my pointer but at least i know this fish now i'm gonna throw it an even more expensive bait in mega bass but this time i'm gonna make sure my knot is extra good typically these mega bass baits are pretty difficult to throw in the wind they tend to catch the the air a lot compared to the pointer the pointer just cuts through the air compared to the megabass so it's gonna be a little bit more difficult to cast this bait out well i'm calling someone's line already come on i better not lose this bait from the dumbest reason too oh you've got to be kidding me that is so annoying got a new bait height on but man i can see my bait right there all right let's try not to lose another bait oh you gotta be kidding me oh guys switched out the line got a new bait let's not lose a fourth bait yeah oh no oh no it is not my day today is it i really need a bait knocker or something to get those baits i really have to avoid casting to that area or it'll be really bad okay i lost a mega bass vision 110 a lucky craft pointer 100 a lucky craft lv 500 and another lucky craft pointer 100. that is like over 40 bucks down the drain i think oh i got bit there we go finally maybe this fish will make up for it look at this hybrid well guys it's well guys after losing four expensive baits we finally hooked on to one and my gopro battery just died but yeah guys look at that it's a nice fish i gotta switch out my gopro batteries but yeah good start it's been about 40 minutes and for the majority of the time i was switching out bass because you know i kept losing him but yeah that makes me happy let's try to catch some more so i caught that fish on a this is a mega bass it's a vision 110 has a nice rattle it has super super sharp hooks i actually didn't hook the fish in the mouth it was just hooked on the gill so it goes to show how sharp these hooks are but yeah oh that makes me feel so much better after losing so many baits but let's try to hook onto some more [Music] [Music] oh [Music] my oh slippery gotta be a little careful here there we go it's a good one make sure my drag is pulling oh it is pulling that's for sure that's a big one it's a it's a nice one about the same size as my first one but yeah very fat oh it's been about an hour and a half of nothing and switched to a different spot and hooked on to a good one let's try to catch another again on division 110 these hooks are tiny but they're super super sharp look at that one of my hooks already bent out that's how hard these fish fight you definitely need to upgrade a bigger hardware if you're gonna fish these type of bass i don't even think i have pliers look at that he bent two hooks out wow i just used the rocks to bend the hooks back i gotta be very careful though oh my drago's super light oh we got another one oh they just dig they're like stripers but they fight even harder i'm so glad i'm catching fish drove an hour out this one's huge oh this one's really big this is actually the biggest one i think oh no it's not big it's just really really fat though they're all hooked the same though barely hooked it's just these hooks are super sharp they just catch on to them holy cow oh the scariest part i'm trying to grab onto its mouth without it thrashing around actually this might be the biggest one this one's so fat all these bass weigh about five pounds look how fat this fish is it's full of eggs or fish i'm not too sure oh wow all right not a lot of people know about this spot so that's good typically when i come here there's only a few fishermen now i wouldn't call this spot secret but man it's a good spot that's for sure especially during the early summer and springtime this area is just a hot spot oh there we go it is pulling i can't even see it but it's pulling where is it going i don't even know where it is he's trying to get close to these rocks oh it's coming this way there we go guys another good fish oh almost dropped it another good hybrid this one actually fought the hardest out of them all and yeah they're just really really pretty fish super strong fighters super fun to catch and they're just so aggressive chunky fish gonna let it go there we go i'm surprised i haven't lost the fish well i did lose one but oh i think i hooked it in the eyeball that's not good oh sorry about that oh that was that was not safe oh quick release oh my god it's a bunch of riders out here and yes i jumped the fence well guys back in the car and today was a really good day uh besides losing four expensive baits all those hybrids made up for it so i'm pretty happy about that my thumb is destroyed if you guys can see that's how you know it's been a good day um i'm definitely gonna have to come back here and fish again oh there's something different today i haven't baked fish
