Fishing CRAZY TOUGH, Cold Front Conditions On LAKE GASTON || So MANY Crazy Boaters!!!

what's up everybody welcome back to another episode of gun fish tv i want to thank you for tuning in to my channel today i appreciate it very much i'm out here today on lake gaston now i've been wanting to get out here for quite a while it's been a little while since i've been out here i think the last time was that aba tournament i fished so probably well over a month ago maybe even a month and a half ago but it is memorial day and it is gonna get crazy out here it's it's like 6 15 in the morning right now so i'm here plenty early it's super calm and what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna target bass in this shoreline grass right here this grass this time of year loads up with small brim and it can be a really really good flipping bike and also a good frogging bite so actually i'm going to start right here at the ramp i just put in right there and i'm going to start i'm going to fish around this point right here and we're going to work our way down the lake and see if we can catch some fish i don't have super long to fish today i can fish to like 11 o'clock so we got to get it done let's go ahead see we can catch some big ones today maybe catch a good limit i don't know but we're going to catch some fish i hope all right so y'all know me i've got to start with the good old frog we're going to start off we got the pad crasher got an aqua frog pad crasher right here and we're going to see if we can catch some fish on that if i can't get nothing to come up then i'm going to throw the old raised bug up here in the grass but if you can get them on this bite you can catch some dog going big ones hoping to get a bite kind of quick it's only 46 degrees this morning we had a huge cold front come in and uh it's pretty dark and chilly but hoping the fish are still gonna be up i mean i know they're still gonna be up in the grass but whether they're biting or not we will find out like i said this place is going to be a mad house by 10 or 11 o'clock so i'm going to be getting the heck out of here by then anyway around that time but hopefully we get some fish before then it is brim all in this grass i can see them in there moving around popping it's just a matter of whether the bass will come up and bite the frog or if they'll you know be on that flipping bike flipping in the grass just depends on what kind of mood they're in and it might be in a funky mood because i mean like i said huge huge cold front came in and it's 46 degrees right now i mean may 31st memorial day that's just that's just crazy there's one right there there's one right there we ain't been fishing long oh we just come off just came off all right well it tells me one thing they will come up on the frog oh fishes move right there i mean we hadn't fished hardly nowhere and a lot of times you catch them on the sides of the points like where i'm at right now like i'm on the side instead of like actually on the point you know that's why i got the bite from that fish right there was on the side of the point going into a pocket a lot of times that's where they set up at that was a small bass that we lost so no big deal on that maybe a pound but that was a bite that was a clue oh god just lost him i kind of missed him i don't think i really even stuck him i don't think and the frog will probably be something that's owned a little bit better right now being that it's early and then once it you know the sun gets up then the flipping bite will probably start to be a little better shut that one i mean they are in there that's a little teeny one i mean he was tiny he came up made it day that dude was tiny oh god badera they're in the grass that fish was like six inches long just tells me that they're just up there feeding we're gonna get us a good in here shortly all right let's go make a move down the lake my so all right this is what we're gonna do the whole time we're here is just basically point hop main lake points with grass i mean that's what we're gonna do we're gonna flip em we're gonna frog em hopefully we get them on the frog the big ones i mean we've gotten like four bites on the frog hadn't fished very long that last point didn't get any bites but the first spot i mean god they were freaking in there while we're going up this grass i'm at least that rage bug on this ladder right here can't ever bypass a good ladder this is a pretty good patch of grass right here as well caught a lot of fish out of it all right let's run over here to this patch so all right so i just pulled up on this shoreline i'm gonna fish this point right around this bend but i think i fished three other points since that very first one where i got all this bite set and i have not gotten another bite yet i have seen fish move in the grass they've been moving some brim popping but i've yet to get a bite i thrown the frog and i flipped in both of them and haven't gotten a bite either way so i picked the frog back up i'm gonna throw this leading up to this point right here and hopefully we get bit got a little bit of ripple on this side that might help but i know during will we can catch them up in this grass i mean this perfect water temp i know they're here we just got to get them to bite i mean we're fishing some pretty tough conditions but i knew that coming here i think we can get a couple in the boat there was a bite so they're in there they're in there like i said but just getting one to trigger and bite is is the hard part all right hopped over here to another point and just put on a tilapia magic speed crawl something with a little bit smaller profile than that rage bug i don't know if that's going to make any difference or not but just a little bit smaller profile thinking that might give it a trigger extra bite or two maybe oh no oh my god that was a fish got him that time we finally got one i can't believe it we got him out of that grass get in here on the old speed crawl man we have been chasing these suckers hard man finally got one up there and there he is have fished mighty hard for that dude right there been jumping around flipping grass and throwing the frog and the fluke and geesh you name it finesse worm all kinds of stuff but anyway finally got one memorial day bass right there thank you bud got him out of this grass right here get on up there i think that looks like a bed right there i don't think it is but appreciate you biting bud geez about time when i flipped up there again i didn't even like feel anything it just sat there and i was like that might be a fish because i just missed one to flip before right there and turns out it was about during time just to give you all an idea it's 9 13. it's 9 13 and we have been fishing since 6 o'clock so we have been working hard for these bites and i mean i should have more fish for sure but just been missing them that's a pretty good one yep there's a pretty good one right there god that water is so clear it's crazy yep there we go come here that's a chunk i will take him there we go nice nice right there pretty fish he was right there in the corner that dock post well speed crawl is getting a few i mean that's a two and a quarter probably something like that two and a quarter good deal that water is so clear it is crazy man i mean that fish was up there it's a big rock right there at the corner that dock post and i threw up and when i was picking up on it he was going off to the left good deal well i've caught two fish relatively quick so maybe i shouldn't leave this area just yet i think i'm gonna fish down a little bit a little bit further still got a little bit of time it's only 9 24 so like i said it hadn't been that long since i caught that last fish all right so we've picked up a few bites had a couple more bites since that last fish i caught not crazy crazy good bites but they were bites so we're just gonna keep kind of going along doing this and seeing if we can uh catch us some more fish maybe get into a bigging possibly and i got a lot of rock right here drag off this rock big stump right there we'll flip up to that i can't believe that the frog bite started off so freaking hot and heavy and then it just went away like it did that's so weird yeah you know how it works out like that sometimes i mean i hadn't fished nowhere and got smoked on that frog and then it just completely that bite just completely went away crazy [Applause] you know what i'm gonna do something that i ain't never done out here i'ma break out the freaking silver buddy i'm gonna break out the silver buddy and throw that doggone thing i know i still got it tied on i think i do let's see do i yep right there i'm gonna throw that thing out there and we're gonna see if we can get a doggone fish on it i know some spots on this point i know it is so we're gonna throw this thing out there and see if we can catch one on the old silver buddy it's been a while since i found this oh there we go first cast with the silver buddy what in the world have we got we got something big whoa i don't know what we got here i don't know i can't tell if it's a catfish a turn catfish well there y'all go first cast with the silver buddy and we got a catfish that thing will catch anything i'm telling you first cast with it that is cool that is so cool it made my line all slimy i know that look got him off all right good well first cast with the silver buddy and we caught a darn catfish that thing will flat out catch a fish the fish just on on this point very good tell you what we're going to move down to that point where i started at and we're going to throw this out on that point because there's a bunch of fish blowing up all on that point this morning so let's go down there and we're gonna finish it up right at the ramp we're gonna have like 15 minutes to fish got one got one on the spinner bait he's a little one but we got him let's see if we can get him in the boat here we go little large mouth oop come on chill out bud little guy but we got him right here going to the ramp he don't look good you need to eat some more bud thank you for biting today so we got three fish three largemouth an old kitty cat on the day i will take it maybe i should have been doing this the whole darn day ain't no telling all right this is gonna be the last cast right here last cast all right decent day no complaints could have zeroed let's get this thing on the trailer all right well i had to get the heck off the water because i'ma tell you people out there were getting crazy memorial day weekend i mean what do you expect on a really really busy lake like lake gaston but those people had woke up at about 10 o'clock i guess and got out there on the water and i had to get the heck away from there because i was gonna get run over if not had one close call anyway and people just don't pay attention but either way it was a little bit tough this morning started off you know getting a lot of bites on the frog i thought that was going to be the deal that absolutely faded and i just kind of ran those grass points that's the way i wanted to catch them that's the way that you should be able to catch them but the bite was a little bit tough it dropped down in the 40s last night really really cold and i think it had those fish a little bit tight-lipped did end up catching two in the grass and then the third one i caught in the grass as well but just on the spinner bait you know i knew it was gonna be tough i could have went somewhere else and caught a lot of fish but i like gas and i've been wanting to get out there i know y'all have been wanting me to get out there as well so i hit the water did my best didn't kill him but i did catch fish didn't come home with a zero that's the main thing and it ended up catching a catfish out there on the silver buddy that was pretty fun as well because you just never know what you're gonna catch on that particular bait so anyway if you like what you saw hit that
