First Time Hearing, The Best LIVE Singer in the World! Regine Velasquez - (What Kind Of Fool Am I)

[Music] what's up everybody welcome back my name is harris and welcome to the den and i've been getting this request a lot brand new singer to the channel not had her before i want to say regina but it's not regine so it's i saw regina i think it's regine reggini i always feel like every name has a little more umph to it than i'm giving it so instead of saying regine maybe it's regini velasquez i can say that for the last quest so this is someone who's been told i've been hearing is the best singer she is who motivated people like morissette and katrina to be very good singers i don't know i you know i've never heard her but this is supposed to be the best live singer in the world regine velasquez uh yes the asia's songbird right that's what i'm being told so i don't know you guys tell me so i'm gonna look this is my first time i'm always impressed but let's see what's going on let's go this is also apparently this is this video was put this was all been on youtube since 2011. this is her 2006 concept 1993 i had a second major concert at the folk arts theater and my next guest was my musical director for that show where he arranged this next song for me and actually became a thinking of okay so i'm going to tell you i'm telling you right now before any further i am expecting from a title that says the best the best live singer in the world and from the other people that i've already seen being as impressive as they are this is obviously starting off to be very slow that's fine it's not my normal tempo i let i do like faster paced things for the most part i don't know the song what kind of fool am i i don't know the song but i'm expecting this to just go bananas and her to go crazy right whether it be like big belty notes whatever it may be that's what i'm expecting again the best live singer in the world so i wasn't expecting it's a little slow right now but it's okay i'm going to be patient i'm not very patient i'm going to be patient and try what of okay here we go we're gonna take off a little bit all right i mean i had a that had a lot of build up i'm saying i'm thinking like okay i mean she has great control i mean the tone is really good the talking thing is kind of fun where you mix the talking and then you know she's she's singing and then she goes into a talking that's kind of cool that's fun right but man that joke that drove out all right so now now we're getting ready to pop off what kind [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] what kind of mind is this maybe maybe we're not remember not popping up yet empty shell [Music] a lonely sanding witch an empty heart [Music] must [Music] like this [Music] hello [Music] okay okay so i will say this real quick i want to back it up though as well for live performance very very very good as far as the best ever i don't i don't i don't know i mean i expected there to be more runs there's some huge notes in there by huge notes the huge notes for being more or are pretty the most impressive part of this right so the huge notes and i think i talked about before with that i don't know i remember who it was i think it was boris said but it's like you have the head voice actually your chest voice and then your head voice your chest voice is a full volume breathy really really powerful uh voice your your head voice is going to be the falsetto stuff that really really high stuff so all of the notes and everything she's saying was that it was a chest voice right so very big belty powerful notes which again are very very impressive part about here and she was went off and was like okay i expected her to do some type of transition and she did my god oh yes it's actually really good so it started off a little bit slower than what i would like to have seen from like normal music that i'm used to but i really still enjoyed it and then i was thinking about too with right at the end the entire time she's sitting on her knees so the amount of power and control and ability to sing that she just did and she's literally sitting down is incredible i mean standing up is by far the best way to use your diaphragm and sing and probably be able to use your body because again think about it everything in your body is a muscle this is all muscle contraction and control especially when you're singing breathing techniques are the same way it's not best it's not easy to do when you're sitting down in an awkward position right because you're not able to expand your lungs properly not able to use some of your muscles and i mean when you sometimes when you sing you tense you'll tend to your legs you'll tense your back your chest your arms here of course your stomach and things feel tense those things to kind of help bring everything together so that you can sing the proper especially when there's a lot of energy in a song so to be able to do those type of notes and and sustain through that powerhouse that she was exploiting it is very impressive that she's able to do it sitting down not a lot of people can do that so um very interesting actually i would be interested to see some other performances of her or some uh videos or you know whatever she's got going on that kind of showcase some more of her range because i felt like a lot of it was pretty consistent it's like the talking low level stuff and then she started just a really belty stuff which is again really great but i think she there's a lot more dynamics to her voice um so maybe this is what's the best one for me to choose it was still a good one like i said but i'd be
