[Music] oh my god oh my god [Music] well we made it we're back at irwindale i haven't been here in like i don't know six months and we brought ron hey what's up ron's gonna come watch uh what is hopefully gonna be a good day so we got here but barely we hustled all week jose and i and uh we have it done-ish [Music] right so this is not it's it's pretty done i mean this is the most done i've seen it in a long time pretty ho hold on first of all first of all let's talk about this setup this is the most suited up i have ever seen you ever ever yeah and this is testing all right yeah that's already scary it's the most intimidating car i've ever been in and i've only driven it 30 feet everything shakes everything is metal right everything is solid mounted once the boost comes on it's terrifying and i haven't even hit boost yet now y'all got to understand it takes a lot to make danger dan nervous scale of 1-10 how nervous are you today as far as car stuff goes i would be at an eight eight out of ten yeah this is like how i feel riding with zach and anything hard you know what i mean yeah yeah yeah yeah i'm so excited i just want to drive it i've been waiting for this day for so long it's been a while and now dude i'm personally i'm super excited where's jose jose get over here man are you hyped to just see this thing move yeah it's about time how long it's been it sounds like a fighter jet can you start it up yeah it's so unassuming for for what it is you know like you start it up it's so quiet you're like man this thing has a thousand horsepower it's our start sequence going on here your fuel [Applause] man pump is so i could talk over that yeah that might be the quietest thousand horsepower i've ever heard yeah it's a wild sound because it's very unassuming normally you see a camaro like this and it was a thousand horsepower it would be thumping yeah it would be so loud and when you're in the car it's even weirder oh it's better it's just like what is this thing i'm done talking yeah i've been waiting for this way too long let me get suited up what the [ __ ] are you talking about you're already scooted up i'm ready let me grab your hat for you i don't know if i can get in i've not done it with the house device yet i'm glad that you know we got all these visibility issues and uh jolly popped this thing right in front just for good measure one more thing yeah it trips me out how quiet this thing is yeah it's crazy though how much different it sounds once you actually get it going on it once you get it under load yeah [Applause] yeah yeah man that thing is he does not have enough room here to really let that thing eat we need a straight for sure yeah [Music] [Music] so [Music] unreal unlike anything i've ever driven before i just i can't even really put it into words other than right now i did give it full power once but for a split second it comes into power so hard but you can still feel there's a little stall and trans like it's still not at lockout yet and i don't have enough room to hit that it's like you're waiting for someone to kick you in the back like you know it's coming you know it's coming you just don't know when and it starts to feel like it's coming back into it then i have to lift because it's terrifying it it's actually pretty damn fast but i gotta say for the first time this thing has ever ran in anger ever yeah there's nothing leaking there's nothing falling off there's nothing like everything's staying together yeah don't jinx this it feels really good like the car feels really planted the suspension is great no major hiccups we're just trying to get through it and we'll we're gonna try and go through a little bit more of a breaking sequence now and see if we can hurt something so [Music] [Music] that was crazy man that thing broke loose like that and then just kept going yeah bud oh how was that this thing's insane it's a whole different car now with the battery oh really we fixed the base leak and got better batteries nice it's scary first time breaking traction in this thing that's probably uh my favorite part of the test so far yeah yeah i let off of it to try and be responsible for a second then i was like nah yeah it's just the stupid drift killing me so fun dude unreal works really good actually power feels really good nothing's gone wrong so far i feel like we've got a pretty good test in i would say so yeah and it seems like you can hold on to it a bit on the bank too i know that was kind of a worry earlier with the steering and everything yeah it's a it's a little difficult because it's really heavy and we have huge tires right right so you kind of have to manhandle it i mean having that big of a slick up front is hard to maneuver but at speed it's not too bad for sure now since it broke loose and i know it does i'm just going to send it a little bit you're going to rip a little donut you have to i mean you have to try it you got to celebrate you have to we made it this far are we going to go infield i think so i don't know i don't know how the car really reacts like yeah you need some you need some space yeah so i think i don't know i might launch it and then do first a second real quick and see if that works i don't know 1000 horsepower should work oh my god oh my god [Music] [Applause] [Music] hahahahaha what what [Applause] [Music] oh man yo that wheel speed is crazy i pepped it in a second did you yeah that was only like quarter throttle first and then i did it like a couple little spins and then popped it right in second it just ate it wow didn't even care at all i will tell you that's the scariest donut i may have ever witnessed it's pretty scary on the inside because you got black smoke coming out the front you got tire smoke coming from behind you and it's like i don't know if i'm on fire or we're all good but it feels great it's a monster a little warm i wanted to keep going but i also want to keep this yeah you want to keep that thing together you don't have fans that's responsible you have fans so this is just made to go at speed and that's how it cools it's not really made for burnouts that makes sense so now we're going to put more fans on it we'll have to put fans on there eventually all right i'm stoked me too dude get it we did it it's done jose has to drive it that's like part of this right i think he put in a lot of work so i think he needs to try it he can only be the next person to drive this [Applause] yeah he ain't holding back first pull no jose don't he's not scared easy [Applause] so oh he has to be [Applause] [Applause] [Music] dude you can't feel nothing i don't know how fast i'm going i don't know how high i'm revving but it feels sick you rubbed high you did not hold back i told you i you said you couldn't feel it i couldn't feel nothing all right and i wasn't going to look at it either hey props though that was crazy that thing feels pretty sick i don't like that straight i don't know if i'm going fast i don't know if i'm going slow second second but like it's hard to tell when it's gonna catch you know so i don't know how to look on the street was i even hauling ass right here right here we were holding i like i hit it and i stopped and i was like let me get a little bit more well that's that for a test day and i don't know i would say that's a success very much i'm so stoked to be here like there's a lot of headache we went through a huge process of trying to figure everything out it's a good payoff man it nothing really went bad drove great we got some burnouts we did some donuts it launches it feels good it breaks good it corners well like it feels really well balanced and really awkward i don't know how to put it like it's just weird what's next for this thing so we got to put in all of the ducting and more of the arrow stuff so this is just a test just to make sure that all systems are go everything works we can torture test it a little bit we can launch it suspension's good brake's good all that so next will be all the arrow and we're gonna just send it here or somewhere else right here we're gonna go uh somewhere where we can stretch the legs so we're gonna try for the standing mile we're gonna try and go 200 i'm pretty confident in it now like it has the power we know it does and it it goes straight the alignment's good suspension feels good brakes feel good i think we're well tested we're ready to go for the real deal race car driver mechanic certified knuckle buster danger danger you
