- The school nurse called me, for Hallie and the high school and
I guess she passed out in weights class. I don't know what happened
or kind of what's behind it, but I'm going to go
pick her up from school and make sure that she's okay. (theme song) - Hi keep it crazy family. So tomorrow, we have something exciting. Aurora is going to school. You're going to school tomorrow. (Aurora Whines) You're going to go to
school with the big kids. - [Aurora] No. - Okay so, Aurora starts school tomorrow and I'm so sad but excited for her. So this is the first time in 18 years that I'm not gonna have a
kid at home during the day. So, that's what makes me the most sad but I mean, besides Alex but can you really call
him a kid at this point? I think not. So, Aurora though is going to be going to half day pre-school, four days a week and she's going to be working
with the speech therapist and just be getting all the services that she's been needing for a while. So, I'm super excited for
her but I'm sad for me. So it's kind of a vulnerable take. But we're going to get
her ready for tonight, I'm gonna pack and do
everything that she needs to do so that it's not crazy
in the morning tomorrow. (Aurora mumbles) - Yeah, we gotta pick out your outfit that you're gonna wear tomorrow. What are you gonna wear on the first day? That? Okay if you see
Aurora in this banana shirt, know that it's an obsession. We're trying to break the banana shirt but anytime I dress her in
anything by the end of the day, she's in this banana shirt, she finds it. It's the craziest thing. (Aurora whines) Okay, let's get started
so we can get her in bed and then she can start
her first day of school tomorrow morning. (Aurora whines) - [Crystal] Listen, we're
going to give you a bath. We're going to get your pajamas on, you're going to go to
bed and when you wake up in the morning you're going to
go to school tomorrow, okay? (Aurora whines) Okay? You'll be okay. Okay, which outfit do you want to wear? I have all your new outfits. So I actually had to hide
Aurora's back to school outfits because when anytime we
get anything new she thinks she needs to wear them
all, even at one time like she'll put four outfits
on top of each other. She'll lose them, she'll I don't know. She gets really crazy
so, I hid them all until this day started, until it was time. So Aurora, let's get all your clothes, your new clothes out. (Aurora whines) Here's all your clothes. Oh, you can't wear that hoodie. It's too hot for that. (Aurora mumbles) Okay, which one are you
gonna wear tomorrow though. Let's lay them all out. (Aurora gasps) Ooh and that one goes with that. (Aurora Shrieks) Oh, now you're excited. You gonna wear those pants? (Aurora mumbles) They don't have poop in
them, they're just pants. Okay, which one? Ooh, you gonna wear your pretty dress? What do you think? - No. - [Crystal] No, okay. What are you wearing
on your first day girl? Ooh, you gonna wear that outfit? - No. - [Crystal] No? Ooh, what about that one? - No. - [Crystal] Aurora, pick an outfit. You're worse than the teenage girls. We're gonna go ahead and decide
her outfit tomorrow morning because I think we're too
tired tonight to make decisions but let's go and do everything else that we need to get done. Okay, let's leave your clothes right here so that we can wear them in the morning. (Aurora whinges) Okay girl come on. (Aurora whinges) We gotta go and pack your water bottle and stuff come on. One of you have made the best suggestion, to help Aurora out on her first day is to print off a family
picture of all of us and put it in her backpack so that way she can look at it if she is feeling sad or missing out throughout the day. So, we're gonna print out a picture. Which picture do you like Aurora? (Aurora cries) What do you think? Okay, we found a really good picture, we are going to print it off now. - Your first day at school
Aurora, are you excited? - [Crystal] Are you excited? - Stand up, stand up. (Aurora shrieks) - [Crystal] Do you remember how nervous you were on your first day? Or were you excited? - I was pretty nervous. - [Ariana] So I heard you were
starting pre-school tomorrow, are you excited? I don't know what that means. Are you excited? (Aurora shouts) She's excited. - [Crystal] Yes, isn't it exciting? - Yeah. (bright gentle music) - One thing that her school requires is an extra pair of clothes
'cause she is pre-school and sometimes stuff happens. They require a water
bottle with her name on it and then here's the picture
that I'm going to be packing in her backpack. I did put it in a zip lock bag, so it doesn't get all ruined
or wet you never know. It's pre-school. (bright gentle music) All right, her backpacks all packed. Now we're going to do her
nightly medicine and then read a book, take a bath and go to bed. (Aurora moans) You love bed time. Yeah? You want to wake up. (Aurora whines) What? - I think she wants to go to school. - [Crystal] You want to
go to school right now? at night time? It's too dark. - [Logan] Wait, is she
going to preschool tomorrow? - [Crystal] Yep, she's starting preschool. So I just want to know if
your kids are as crazy as mine when it comes to hoodies,
like it's literally 110, 120 degrees outside and one of my kids will have a
hoodie or a long sleeve shirt on them and I'm like, how can you do that? You're literally burning up and so Aurora wanting to
wear her hoodie tomorrow makes sense because I don't know why. It is like a kid thing nowadays? Like I like to dress for the occasion. - She wants to be like
her brothers and sisters. - I don't know, it's literally crazy. - She really wants to wear her hoodie? - Yeah, she want to wear her hoodie. I'll have to hide it tonight
when she's sleeping so that she doesn't see it in the morning and want to wear this hoodie. Cause it's literally going
to be 110 degrees tomorrow. So, no to the hoodie, but
the teenagers, I mean, they deal with it and they understand, they understand cause and
effect to where she doesn't. So. (chilled music) - It's everywhere. Some have a little bit, some have a lot. I love you. (light switch clicks) [Crystal] Today is school, woo. Did you decide what you're going to wear? Oh sorry, she has all of
her clothes all the way up. You're going to wear that
outfit for your first day? Are you sure? You want to wear your
sparkle shirt up here? That one, it's so hot baby. (Aurora mumbles) Good news is, we had a
little storm last night so it's not going to be as hot. So Aurora is really set
on wearing this hoodie. It's not really a hoodie, it's a little bit thinner than a hoodie, but I'm excited to see
her when she's all ready. Ready, jump. Ooh, looking good. All right, let's get your shoes on. (upbeat music) I was about to finish getting
Aurora ready for school, she still needs to eat and then
we're going to take pictures by the front door. And then the school nurse
called me for Hallie and the high school and
I guess she passed out in weights class. I don't know what happened
or kind of what's behind it, but I'm going to go
pick her up from school and make sure that she's okay. So Aaron is going to take over and make Aurora some food real quick and I will be right back. - All right, because
of the time constraints and Aurora's being a little
picky today unfortunately, she wants to have a chimichanga so I'm going to microwave this bad boy and get it going for her. (Aaron groaning) - [Aaron] Flip, flip it. Are you excited for school? Yeah? You're not going to cry. You're going to be good
for your teacher, okay? Remember your signs okay? If you need the water, right. (upbeat music) (Aurora clapping) You got a good beat going there girl. What? (Aurora mumbling) I'll be right back, okay. She's talking so great, I cannot wait for the speech therapist to start working with her. Is it good? Yeah? Got this? Is that enough? Let me wash them first, okay? (upbeat music) So we're sitting here and yep there goes a grape in some topatio. (Aaron laughs) Is that good? You like grapes in topatio? You think I should try it? It's hot, hot grapes. - So she hit her head. - [Aaron] So did you
get like busy and just, do you need more water? what's going on? - No, I was drinking enough water. - I think it was her POTS, I think from not having any sodium. - [Aaron] Have you had any salt today? - No. - [Aaron] Were you lifting weights? - No. We were just practicing our
form with the like pushups and like squats I wasn't squatting
like a bar or anything. - And she just squatted down. - I don't know, don't ask me. - She said she stood up
and she started to like, feel like she was going to pass out so she went to sit on the
bench, but she didn't make it and then she woke up on the floor. - But I'm good now guys. (Hallie chuckles) - Well, I'm going to be taking
Aurora to school real quick and then I'm taking Hallie
over to the doctor just to get everything checked out, she seems okay but I just want to be safe and
make sure that she's okay. I did find these cute little boards, I wish I would have had these
for the other kids for the first day of school, but I was able to write
her age and the day. I did not write her
teacher's name just cause I don't want to put that out there, but she wants to be a
princess when she grows up is what she said. So we're going to take
pictures with the sign. (bright upbeat music) - Bye, have a good day okay? - [Jamie] She's off. - [Crystal] You're ready to go to school? - [Jamie] She is ready, have fun. (bright upbeat music) - [Crystal] Love you. (Aurora mumbles) - [Crystal] Aww. - It makes me so sad, her
little wave when she walked away with her teacher was like. Are you gonna to cry? - I'm already crying back here. - [Crystal] Aww. We have not been like
kidless at home for 18 years so it's been a long time. Not that we're kidless
because now Hallie's home too. I'm gonna take her to the doctor. Oh, you're really crying. - I'll be all right. - So this is going to be so
weird not to have her like home and I don't know Aurora
is like our little buddy that's always been with us
and we take her everywhere with us so to not have
her, like when we get home it's going to be like, I'm
going to feel so lonely. - I'm so used to like
constantly checking on her and like, oh, what's Aurora doing? Like where is she? You know, like following her around, making sure she's not getting into things and it's like, yeah it's gonna be hard. - It's hard too, because
Aurora can't really like talk, you know? So I'm hoping that the
teachers are like understanding when she said she needs to
go potty or different things. Cause it's not quite, it
might be hard to understand, but I think she'll do okay. - I must say it didn't seem
like there was like too many kids in the class and
there is two teachers, like she has a teacher's
aid so I think that they're going to be
able to spend plenty of one-on-one time with each kid. But I am nervous cause she can't, it's not easy to always it's
for her to express to people what she needs. Now people have asked about
a communication device. We actually got an iPad and
a communication software. Sadly, the screen got busted
on it during the pandemic and every time I've been to
the apple store, they're like, you need to have an
appointment to get it fixed. And so I just haven't had
the time and chance to get it fixed yet, but it is on my list of things
to do because I think it could be really good for her though I hope that the speech therapist really, that progress progresses really quickly. So I don't know, see where it goes. - I know, and then like
also on making friends, cause like someone comes
up and they're like, hi, my name is so-and-so, you know? And she can say Aurora, but she can't put that
whole thing together. Like hi, my name is Aurora, you know? And so just hoping that
just, I don't know, kids are understanding and nice to her. - It's funny cause I
think, it's interesting cause I think a lot of times
she comes off bossy because she's like trying to pull people
around and I'm hoping that the kids she's meeting today
are patient with her because she's not trying to be bossy. She just doesn't know how to
put it verbally that like, hey, come look at this with me. - Or when she does her sign
language like there are other kids that are probably
not going to understand her sign language and so that
might be a little difficult but she'll do good. I feel like we're just
like thinking of worst case scenarios, you know? Cause we're like worried
about her, but ugh. So we went to an urgent
care just to check out, make sure she didn't have a
concussion and see why she passed out all of that. We got an EKG done, all
kinds of stuff done. They tested her glucose and
they said they cannot figure out why she passed out but urgent care said that they wanted us to go over to the emergency room so they
can do a few more tests and make sure that everything's okay and also check for the concussion. So it was just a little bit more than, I guess the urgent care could deal, but they were acting
really weird about it. So, now we're at the emergency room. We're going to get checked out here. How are you feeling? - Good, I just have a little headache. - You're not our normal Hallie. You're five foot one. (Hallie gasps) - I'm not. - Yeah, you're an inch
shorter than me now. - No, I'm five foot two. - You shrunk. - I did not shrink, I'm even
wearing platforms today. How did they get five one? (chilled music) - All right, so it's a little bit later and Aurora should be getting
out of school any minute. I feel really bad because
Crystal really wanted to be here but Crystal took Hallie to
the urgent care and then they recommended taking her to the ER. So I don't know what's going on with that. Crystal's at the ER right now with Hallie but I am here, Aurora should be coming out not quite yet but I'm waiting
and so excited to hear how her first day went and it looks like she's coming out now, let's go. All right, how was your first day? Was your first day good? Yeah? Aww, I'm so proud of you. Did you cry? You did cry. No, you didn't cry, she didn't cry. Yay, I'm so proud of you. - Hey guys, so I'm okay. - So we ended up going to urgent care and they did a bunch of tests like an EKG, they did a glucose,
all that fun stuff. - A whole bunch of stuff. - Everything came out
good but they were like, we still recommend you to go to the ER, just to make sure that she
doesn't have a concussion and all of that. We went to the ER, we were in the waiting
room for three hours, three and a half hours. - Too long. - Very long and then a
doctor ended up coming in, they did do another EKG
there and they said, everything looked really good with that. So they went ahead and discharged her. They don't think she has
any like major concussion or anything like that, but we're still going to keep an eye on it and if things get worse,
we will end up going back. But she's okay, aww. - I'm all good. - Poor you, that's not fun. - It's really not,
especially at a new school. - I know. But I'm just thankful that
everything is good and that you're okay and it
doesn't even leave a mark. - Yeah, there was a mark earlier, but it was just from my
makeup being wiped off from when I hit the floor. - Aww. So Aurora had a really good first day, I was sad that I missed picking her up, but I'm glad that Hallie's okay. So sometimes days just work out like that, where they get really crazy. And I'm super thankful
for Aaron though, for dad, but he's such an amazing dad
and can be there on the other side when kids need us. So anyways, we are going to end it here, but thank you guys so much for watching and we will see you guys next time. - Bye. (theme song)
