Fingerplays with Ms. Nina #1

Welcome to Fingerplays with Ms. Nina. We do fingerplays to strengthen  the small muscles in our fingers,   helping our children get ready to write. The first one we're going to do is called  Baby's Nap and we'll use one finger.   Can you show me one finger? Good! Now this is a baby ready for his nap lay him down in his mama's lap  cover him up so he won't peep and rock him till he's fast asleep Yay, that was good! Let's try it again. Show me one finger. The next fingerplay we're going to do is called  Clap Your Hands so we'll need both hands. clap your hands one two three play a clapping game with me now your hands have gone away! oh bring them back so we can play  now roll your hands one two three play a rolling game with me where'd they go?  now your hands have gone away oh bring them back so we can play  pat your knees one two three play a patting game with me now your hands have gone away bring them back so we can play  wiggle your fingers one two three play a wiggling game with me now your hands have gone away  oh bring them back and we'll  play this game another day Our next fingerplay is called Two Red Apples   so I want you to take your hands and make  them into fists. Put them way up high. way up high in the apple tree two red apples smiled at me  I shook that tree as hard as I could  and down came those apples mmm they were good Yay! Let's try it again. Should we try that one again? All right, where are your your  mama piggies?
