Finding Treasure With Grandpa - "X" Marks The Spot! | Nugget Noggin

I'm out here this morning at my grandfather's house just pulled up in the driveway we're gonna go out digging today we haven't been in about a year so be a great time to get out sibling fun oh we're out here digging now located the first good signal of the day down here show it up in the 90s on both of our detectors right there might be a coin we're not sure the face 400 gives a good signal as well so let's uh keep digging it out we're at an old school site not exactly sure how old there it is it's a coin sure enough see what we have it's a penny what is it a wheat penny nope just a more modern one year of 1980 so it's copper alright we'll take it hey it's before I cover this in let's recheck the whole just to make sure nothing else in there all right cover this back up that's given 88 so more than likely a coin of some type we're open for a quarter all right let me beep it and see where it's at see if it's it is a good signal it's either on the edge of that hole or right here Yeah right there 88 that's a good signal two hands cold out here innit all right swing over that is it not in there must be in the bottom in the whole steel hmm disappeared huh must be in the hole Polly knocked it down there deeper I see it you see right there it's a dime it was yeah it's kind of hard to believe it was given a higher signal but probably because it was so deep it'll recheck it but yeah that's that's a coin right there err recheck that that's it all right on to the next there's another good signal right here just gonna let y'all listen to it real quick 89 now this one maybe a quarter it's in that little area right there with a green grass is that alright dig it out [Music] dirts nice and wet we've had rain for the past 50 days it seems like oh no problem digging around here you can see it's muddy down there all right it is that's in the still in the dirt down there you want me to find it I'll find it all right is that it there it is quarter that's what it was sure like 1989 I think yeah I just found something pretty good over here my grandfather is about 50 yards behind the camera Tecton that way this signal here was shown in the 70s I thought it was gonna be a penny I popped it out it's right here it may look like aluminum at first but I think we have a silver ring I think sorry about that my camera died so I'm not sure if you got to see this get fine down here here it is it was showing up in the 70s and mid 60s I thought it's gonna be another coin it's a ring not sure when it's made out of though probably stainless because I'm at a school yard so I cleaned up the ring just a little bit and turns out it actually is silver for some reason if you swing over it at this angle it gives a bad signal this way it gives the 80s and if you look on the inside it's marked 925 so it's sterling silver Wow that's also fine right there we're still out here digging and I'm just located another good signal right here sounds like a quarter somebody's hit this place pretty hard I've came across a few dozen big holes that have been there awhile with that figures you can't go nowhere like this and expect it to not be dug it's right beside the road yeah all right that's some nice-looking dirt right there let's swing over it it's in the plug still finding stuff out here though so this place has good potential can't get it all here you have it another quarter awesome so we're at a different site now haven't been to this place in about five years there was an old house directly right here and just got tore down and buried back there in the woods they dated back to the mid-1800s and I just found something right on top and I beeped it with my detector first and I bought it right there looks like a button but what type that's been rained on oh it's beautiful look at that Pullman button wow that's a nice one too second one I've ever found I just dug a wheat penny right there Wow my grandfather's over there this is one of the first places we went detecting I was around 14 to 15 years old and we came out to this old house site I found a shield nickel over there a Stan Liberty quarter a Boy Scout badge 1876 seeded quarter over there and a bunch of other stuff like I said I haven't been here in a long time because it was covered up in kudzu all this was just full of vines you couldn't get in here now that it's all cleared out I can finally swing my cool again I don't have to go over there and see if he needs help awesome it's gonna be a great day let's keep going yeah we've done a real good job at searching this place years ago we missed a old dresser drawer knob look at that decorative has like a flower design on there take a look at that tree right there it has a X on it marks the spot maybe we'll search her on that one in a minute here's a better look at the tree looks like a walnut they always say x marks the spot so you might as well check it pretty quiet old driveway used to come through right here is it repeatable on yours it's right that's right yeah right here there's some iron on the side right there in that little have to swing up a little more right right there yeah right there let's see what it is it may not be nothing but hold on it sounds pretty good it sounds kind of big there it is aluminum siding from the house that's what was giving a good signal water that's out here you see right there it's right on top but it beeps it's either a button or a big coin that's a big coin oh man that's a huge flat button look at that wonder if it's a George Washington button it may say Cheeto be on there may not be big enough and that is a ginormous dandy button wow this is right here where we found all the coins years ago there was a flower garden in this area I can't believe I missed it awesome I cleaned it up a tad I don't see anything on there but that doesn't mean there's not we'll take it here's some of the foundation stones they're left from the house that right there was underneath the house at one time they had rock steps I'm not sure what happened to them but there's somewhere right in here never even detected that yet so no telling what I'll find there's a big two-story house see if we can eyeball anything this place will be covered up and gone and just a matter of months all the history be lost so it's good we're having the last opportunity to get it out I just found this looks like a gold coin at first but it's not some type of token I guess but you can see it has a hole in the top right there it's made of brass gave a 50 signal that's kind of neat maybe we can figure out what it is later well right over here was an old shed and years ago I found an Indian Head Penny right in front of the door which was about right there let's see if we can find anything in here might be able to eyeball something there's a lot of trash that's the thing about searching these type of sites they just push trash everywhere look at that yeah there's a like metal it's not I thought was a spoon handle so right now we're inside of the old shed where it was anyway there's something but it's aluminum very surprised we haven't found a marvel today usually and all this you'll find a marble a place like this can seem very overwhelming especially if you haven't detected and a lot of iron before there's nails just littered all over the place so far we've done pretty good in this area so I'm gonna search it for another hour and if I don't find anything else you may head to another site the dogs going crazy over here I think she's seen a squirrel Peggy Sue anyways these are all of our files from today's hunt we stayed out for about four hours my grandfather had a great time he enjoyed getting out these are some of the coins he found you can see we dug our share of trash had bottle caps pull-tabs lots of aluminum here's my ring I cleaned it up with some water just washed it off beautiful ring there and it's real sterling silver at first I thought it wasn't it looked kind of fake and since I was at a school I figured it was more modern which it may be then usually the kids don't wear real jewelry but that's a nice one have a few coins here's my funds from the old house site I'll have to show y'all later some of my collection from the years digging there I've got a lot more than this at that place they have an old dresser drawer pool pulling button still has a shank on the back no wait penny not sure the date on it though very corroded that was under the old house see how its corroded like that I bet the button was under there too when they tore it down they pushed all this stuff up have a neat little buckle an old flat button this right here is before 1800 it's very old there used to be a cabin site in the same location as that house so I bet you it dated back to the late 1700s and then after they got enough money they built a bigger house in the same location here's some type of Hugh might or buzzer toy they would put strings in here on this thing up and then when you pulled the strings apart it would spin make a buzzing noise but it's probably a him wait it could be one or the other hard to tell this thing here I'm not sure what it is it looked like a gold coin when I first found it but it's not has a hole in the front right there I don't think it's a coin but maybe some type of token or could have been an earring maybe I don't know
