This channel and the the personal channel by John Michael Godier, the guy that runs this is brilliant.

Theory 1 the uiverse is 13.4 billion years old and since the earth is 5 billion years old we could be the first life forms to have evolved ever.

Another theory is the universe is overflowing with life but its only:

1 per supercluster

1 per galaxy (effectively make us alone because of the distances involved)

Or each galaxy has hundreds of life forms but they are all lower life forms.

Or life is just a natural result of complex chemistry so there are thousands of intelligent life forms in the milky way including alpha centauri and they have picked up signals from us and are on the way.

My money is there is life out there but in the delta quadrant and they will never find us
