- Hey guys, welcome back to NautiStyles. In this video, we get to tell you what exactly is happening
with our future boat. - Yes. - What is it gonna be? We've been trying to cut out some time to make this video for so long. It came down to the
wire and now we are here at the Miami International Boat Show and I just didn't wanna
take another two weeks trying to make this video, so we're gonna take you
with us to the boat show. In between every opportunity we get, we get to tell you what is
happening with our new yacht. Let's do it. - Let's do it. (water splashes gently) (seagulls squawk) - All righty, you guys, welcome to Discover Boating,
Miami International Boat Show, our home for the next five days. (upbeat music) Next up, Museum Marina Park. We're gonna go check out
some sailing catamarans. Hey guys, welcome back to NautiStyles. Today, we are in Miami and we're going to show you
this really cool airplane. No, I'm just kidding. (chuckles) I'm so excited. And we're gonna go up to the fly via our carbon fiber staircase. All right, back to the
storage. (she and Rico laugh) (upbeat music) - And then, I'm in the carbon
fiber bathtub right now. (upbeat music) Today, we're onboard of an X5 Plus. (upbeat music) This is a signature Xquisite table. Check this out. (upbeat music) - This one has 160-kilowatt
power lithium battery bank, and charges in under an hour. You're fully charged. - Under an hour.
- Yes. - It sounds like your dreams,
you're waking up from, and then it's not reality
anymore. (they all laugh) - One of the big decisions
is obviously type of a yacht. Is it a sailing catamaran? Is it a power catamaran? Is it a power monohull? That has been with us for like a year? - And we have been back
and forth on this actually, like a bunch of times.
- A bunch of times. Like, we've decided like, this is the route we're gonna go and then no, this is the
route we're gonna go. And I think it's something
everybody struggles with and we full blown went
through the struggle. - Yeah. And then also, we were looking
at different manufacturers, different brands, and that also changed a little bit, right? Like it, sometimes it was like, oh yeah, I would like to go with this power boat or I would like to go with
this sailing catamaran, like it was really a
hard decision to make. - So, how did we even arrive at, - Where we are? (laughs)
- where we are? Like, how did that even happen? Well, that's a bigger story. - Part of it was like chartering boats, right?
- Yeah. - Like taking boats out.
- Yeah. - I've delivered a lot of boats now. That really helped us making
the decision, I think. - I mean, we knew for sure, we did not want a sailing monohull. - Yeah.
- Just because, you know, we felt like
we wanted more space. It just wasn't something
that we wanted to live on. - No. - Coming from the space that
the power monohull offered, I know we would feel like we
kinda like sacrificing space. - Correct.
- Which we wouldn't get that on the sailing catamaran, on the sailing (chuckles) - Monohull.
- Monohull. - Yes.
- Yeah. We definitely, spoiler alert,
deleted the sailing monohull. - Yes. Sailing monohull was out, so it really came down
to the sailing catamaran, - Power catamaran.
- A power catamaran or a power monohull. - Correct.
(bell dings) - And that was the biggest decision. - Yeah. - Hi. - Really?
- What? (mellow music) - You can literally put
your boat out there. - Yeah. - You can get travelers that
would want to travel with you. They will pay you to be
with you on your boat, so you can do what you
love and get paid for it. - Nice. - That's one. Second thing is- - So not like in the marina AirBnB, you're talking about like, - You traveling, - Doing legs. - Exactly. - Yeah.
- Awesome. - Not only that you can
also have the traveler, they can trade their skills. Let's say you're a sailor
or you're a math teacher, or you're yoga instructor. Doesn't matter. If the sailor can use it, they can give you a discount or take it for free on their boat. - That's awesome. What a great way for
people to get experience. - By the way, we love your videos. - Oh, thank you guys. - ...and that's how we started watching your videos. - You actually inspired
us for all of this. - Congratulations, you guys
- That's amazing. for arriving where you
are. That's awesome. - And then look at you guys. You end up at Miami Boat
Show, have your own booth. - Yes. - Check it out. Nice. - Thank you. - Yes. Stay in touch. Awesome. - Enjoy whatever boat you get. - Bye.
- Bye. They said they got inspired
because of our channel and they opened a business, and now they're here
at the Miami Boat Show, good for them! So exciting. - Wow. - Anyway, back to the big subject. - Yes. - So it came down to those three. It was a really difficult decision. - It was. - We gotta head over to
the superyacht village. - Yep. - Let's do it, for our
next superyacht tour. (upbeat music) This yacht show is pretty big this year. So what they've done is they've basically combined three other shows into one, so we have five locations to visit. It makes for a really large show. It's kind of nice when you
know what you wanna see and you basically go to the location that you're interested in. It is five days, Wednesday through Sunday. It's been really, really
busy, very hot show as always. But yeah, we have a lot to do still. Tonight, the whole boat
show is basically having what they're calling Yachts After Dark. - Pretty cool. - Yeah, a really cool event. All sorts of different brokerages and parties are everywhere. Everyone's got their own party competing for music and lights and everything. So we wanted take this opportunity and talk about new versus used yacht. Which one do we buy? - And it was not an easy decision either. - No. And I know that a lot of
you are struggling with it and we totally get it. It's so, so hard. The advantages of a new yacht. - Obviously like one of the big parts is that you can be involved in
well, depending, sometimes. - No, not a new build, a new yacht. - A new yacht in general,
warranty, warranty. Warranty is a big problem here, of course. - Definitely. - It's a brand new boat, so- - You're kind of not dealing with somebody else's problems. - Problem is with a brand new yacht that you have the
so-to-speak child sicknesses. So, you know, the whole break-in period where you have things breaking, which is completely normal
on a brand new boat, you also have to deal with it. So you have downtime, you have
warranty claims and so on. On the used boat, usually that
period has already passed. Someone else did it for
you, if they did it. - Other advantages of a used yacht, price! Price! - Not in this environment right now. - But in this market,
it's kind of difficult because you know, some of the people are selling their couple year old boats or five year old boats for as much as they pretty much paid for them. - Brand new. - Yeah, but why does that happen? Let's explain that real quick. - Well, right now there's a huge interest in boats in general. There's obviously every ship manufacturer, every boat manufacturer
raises their prices every year because they have increased costs. They have increased cost in labor, increased cost in materials, so that helps obviously
keeping their product fairly stable in value. - I would say more than
fairly stable at this point. - I mean a lot of boats at this point actually appreciating
instead of depreciating, which is, makes it kinda
like a great investment. - It's absolutely bizarre. - But yeah, in general a
used boat would obviously cost you a little bit
less than a new boat, which is still potentially the case because when we say you're selling a boat for more than what you paid for, that also means that what you paid for is a lot less than what
it costs now brand new. - Yeah, totally get it. With used boats in this market, there's just not enough inventory. There's not as much
selection to be able to, you know, find the perfect boat. It's really, really difficult. So the decision to buy a new boat came kind of easy at this point. (upbeat music) So we're in the One Herald
Plaza location of the show. There are lots of boat manufacturers here. All the new builds are here. A lot to see. This is probably the largest and the busiest part of the show. (upbeat music) We have the engines running
and it's very windy, so just bear with us. - [Rico] You're like going up and down! - Yeah, I know. (upbeat music) - What do you think? - Check this out. - I mean, once you open
everything up, you are outside. - It's a walk-in for me. - It is a walk-in now. (upbeat music) - Whoa. - [Rico] Proper shocks on there, huh? - Like, you can just
do a workout with this. (Rico chuckles) (upbeat music) It was a late night last night, you guys. Bob Denison threw a good party. (upbeat music) Well, now I think leave me here. I'm gonna take a nap
and then we'll continue. - [Rico] No, no, no, no, no, no. We have a meet up. - This is really nice. Oh, we have a meet up! (upbeat music) All of the locations are
connected by water taxis, which is super, super cool. The only location is the progressive show, which is Convention Center, there's a little shuttle we need to catch, but it's really awesome to just be able to jump around the show,
you know, on the water, your little chance to get
on the water in between, so. Hey, and it's been so
hot, it's pretty nice. So at the Convention Center, we have trailer boats, smaller boats. We also have all the gadgets, you know, innovations, engine manufacturers, electronics, stuff like that. I cannot believe that
this is like a tender for some of the yachts. I mean, this is a tender. - Well, I think this would
be a little bit too big of a tender for our next boat. - Yeah. I mean, size does matter because bigger doesn't necessarily mean better in terms of usage, so like when we were deciding, of course, I mean you think like,
oh, you want to, you know, get the biggest boat you
can, but do you really? Because of course maintenance, of course, well, can you afford it? That's a whole other thing. Just being able to operate it on our own, I think it's something
which was a huge thing. - So we didn't want to be too small. - Yeah. - But also not too big. I think we are on the
upper end of the spectrum. - I think for a lot of you, you're gonna say that
we are too big, (laughs) but I think for us, it was like, we knew for sure that we
wanted to go above 60 feet, like we knew that. - You knew you wanted to go over 60 feet, I knew I wanted to get over 70 feet. - He just loves to give it away. The biggest thing for me was
if we wanted to be alone, the two of us to be able
to take the boat out. - Yeah. - Be solo on the boat, wherever we are. - Even if we don't have crew. - Nobody knows if we
have crew or not, so hey! Of course the price, I mean, being able to afford it
is, I mean, that's a given. - And not just the purchase
price, also the upkeep. - The bigger you go, the
bigger the upkeep is. So yeah, there's the size of our boat. You guys all think because we have done so many yacht tours, we definitely know what we want, the decision would be really, really easy, but it made the decision a lot harder. - 'Cause we've seen so many boats and we have so many now things, oh, we like this, oh, we
like this, oh, we like this, and some of the things you can't even incorporate into one boat,
because it's just too much, so now, we're kinda screwed up right now. - Well, we're not screwed up right now because we now know what we're doing, but we were screwed up for a long time. We are unscrewed right now. - Now, because we made the decision. - Yeah, now we're a lot happier. Our NBB list got really, really large, so it of course made it a lot harder. - Yeah. (upbeat music) - Let's keep going. (upbeat music) We have some really fun
tours for you guys this week. (upbeat music) So today we are bringing you another award-winning Aquila Power Cat. Okay, let's do it. (upbeat music) This is definitely an
Aquila signature here. You actually have a
Portuguese bridge, how cool! Let's go and check out the interior. Well, first of all, coming in here, I just wanted to tell you guys, this is one of those just
beautiful finished teaks. This whole thing just lifts up. - [Rico] And you can do engine service. - You can imagine what
kind of access you get. This is a two cabin, two head layout, but it's very interesting as well. More comfortable than I thought would be when I saw the model, how slick it was. - [Rico] So you just
lift the whole anchor up. - This completes our tour
of this Palm Beach GT50 Look at the color on that yacht! Whoa! We have a date with a superyacht at the Superyacht Miami at Island Gardens. All right, we're walking over
to our next superyacht tour, but I wanna make sure to take a second to talk about the decision, which was production yacht
or semi-custom yacht. - Production obviously has the advantage. It's usually less expensive. It's more affordable because obviously they're molds, they're fiberglass, there are hundreds getting
produced of the same kind. Semi-custom, it's usually
smaller production, more detail-oriented, but you
have the freedom to customize, like the name already says, semi-custom, a lot of things which you
don't have the freedom when you buy a production boat. - And in this market, you
get to wait even longer for a semi-custom yacht. - Yes. - I mean not that production yachts are that available either, I mean some of the
production boats, you have- - Two, three year waiting time right now. - It's pretty intense. - Anybody who wants to
be serious in boating and uses the boat a lot and
has the financial opportunity, I think if you can, going
semi-custom is pretty awesome, but you also have to be pretty involved. - But can we really find all
these different things we want and find a compromise
in a production boat? And that was something we've
been searching for a while now. - Yeah, yeah. - Just trying to find a production boat that could possibly have most
of the things on our list. I know it's not gonna be all but most. - And some things you
could do after the fact, like after you've purchased
the production boat. - Yeah, exactly. And that was another decision. Like, do we do a production boat and do we then after the fact just decide to do all these different things on it and spend that extra money- - Customization after the
fact, after the boat was built. - It was a hard, hard decision to be made. - But we made it. - We made it and we're really
happy with the one we made. (they chuckle) (upbeat music) We have made so many
new friends this show, but it's really nice to
catch up with the old ones. Hi, Jen! - Hi! - There's an ATV in there and we saw it like two
days ago, or yesterday, it has tons of speakers
and subwoofers on there. So right now we just left the boat show. We're standing outside of the boat show and this crazy loud music comes on. Sounds like a professional stage setup. I was like, I wanna go back
in, I wanna go back in! - [Victoria] House music. - House music, yeah. And I said, that's what we're gonna have on our new boat on the back deck. Yep. - We have a back deck? - [Rico] Top deck. (Victoria pretends to stutter) - No! Next, you guys, we're gonna check out Progressive Boat Show
Experience at Pride Park. Specifically, we wanted to
go and check out Charge, which is a little portion of the show dedicated to electric innovations. Okay, we're entering the accessory pavilion portion of the show, which has some really cool exhibits that I wanna show you guys. Oh, it's cold in here. (laughs) It's like a shock. Think I need that jacket again. (upbeat music) - Oh, wait a minute. Electric outboards. That is, oh, I wanna see that. Sorry. - [Victoria] See, I knew it. - Please follow me. - I knew we were gonna
lose him eventually. - Hey, that's a 180 electric outboard. - Okay. - [Rico] That is interesting. (upbeat music) - Aqua Superpower. We are rolling out the first marinized DC fast-charging network
in the world, basically. Currently have a bunch of chargers in the South of France
along the Cote d'Azur. - Okay. - The first charger in the
US goes into Lake Tahoe as soon as the snow melts. - Nice. Did you hear this? Lake Tahoe is getting one. - Do you know Tahoe? - Yeah, of course, we're from California. - Yeah. Yeah. Okay. - We're from LA. - I'm in LA, yeah. - Oh, okay, cool. - Yeah, Island Park. So this model here is a 75 kilowatt hour. It's fast DC, delivering DC, which will charge this
nauty in about an hour. It's going into Tahoe City Marina, which is the largest marina on Tahoe. - Okay. - It's inside their wall, so it's on one of their floating docks and it's gonna be assigned an area assigned for electric boats
to come up and charge. - Very cool. Awesome, cool stuff. - [Rico] There are the big motors. No way! There's one. - Is that Electra? - Yeah. - No way. - This is a Yamaha electric motor, which I've only seen
on social media so far. I can't believe there's one here. So this is the steering part
and the whole part turns. It's pretty cool. - So this is below the water line. - [Rico] So somewhere like to here, yeah. This is like below the water line. This is above the water
and it also tilts up. - Only this part here is
underneath the actual? - So yeah, like the keel of the boat will be maybe like somewhere here. - [Victoria] Got it. Okay. - So I mean, what is this, like a foot? - Interesting. Does it tilt up? - Yeah, this whole thing tilts up. - No way! That looks really cool. - And you can run it in a
single or twin configuration and it comes with Helm
Master like on the big boats. You have the joystick and
your regular throttle control and a turning radius of 140 degrees. - Wow. So that would make it super maneuverable. - Super maneuverable. - New technology is coming. - Here, here, see? - [Victoria] No way. That's really cool. - [Rico] It is incredible. - So when is this coming out? - So we still have to
be a little bit patient and it's probably coming out in about a year to the customer. - That's very exciting stuff. Let's see if we find
some more new technology. - Like you mean new technology we're potentially
incorporating in our new boat? - I mean, that's one of the
reasons we're looking around. Nobody else who we're
meeting at the show knows yet because this video hasn't dropped yet. So you guys don't know, but it's definitely something
we're excited about. (upbeat music) So just excited about solar, excited to just be able to
put technology onto something because it's a new build. So there's flexibility, right? (upbeat music) - Being able to incorporate
new developments and new designs when you build a boat is only one of my big
parts I'm excited about. - Yeah, it was one of the big decisions why we decided to do a new build just because it allows
us to be able to expand and look at all these different options. Of course there are things
that maybe we'd wanna do that technology maybe
is not quite there yet or financially, it's just
way out of our price range, but we are gonna do as
much as we financially can, I think, bringing in the technology. - Maximize solar, maximize
lithium ion capacities. I mean, there's so many cool things which we have the
opportunity to experience and to go through because we are building a semi-custom boat. - Did we say that already? - No, I just said it. (they laugh) - It's the final of the boat show. - No, it's also the
final of our boat build. - Our new boat. (boat horns sound loudly) - We made it! We made it! All right, you guys. Well, we are so excited for our new build and we cannot wait to take you on this whole journey with us. We don't want this channel to change. We know that a lot of you have
subscribed to this channel because you wanna see more
yacht walkthrough videos. You wanna see more
affordable liveaboards, new models, all sorts
of different vessels- - And we're gonna continue on
exactly that on this channel. - We do not want to change that. This channel will stay the
way it is, true to itself. So we are starting a brand new channel just for our new journey,
our whole new build and everything else to follow after, which you guys get to
know when you join us. - There's gonna be a lot of new stuff. - And the good thing is
you don't have to wait to find out which boat
exactly we're building because that video has already
dropped on that channel. - Right now. - So the name of our new channel, you wanna say it on one, two, three? One, two, three, Nautiguys. (boat horn blasts) So join us on the Nautiguys channel. The link is in the description
underneath the video, or just put @Nautiguys on YouTube and you can see that video right now. - Switch over, Subscribe. - Right now. - Like the video. - Make sure you Subscribe
to the new channel. Make sure you put the Notification Bell on. In the beginning, we're
not gonna have a bunch of regular videos coming, we'll put them out as often as we can, as often as we get, you
know, all the footage. - Write Comments underneath
the video, on the New Channel, if it was what you thought it is, or if it's something different. - If you are happy with our choice, if you thought we made the right one, just put in the comments,
we cannot wait to read it. We're super excited for this new chapter. This has been a long time in the making and it's been killing
us to keep it inside. - So excited. Switch over, switch over. - Yes. So go like this video and make sure you Subscribe to the New Channel and we'll see you on the next one. - Enjoy the Outtakes, - [Together] Ciao! (upbeat music) - Without crew. - Without screw? (they laugh) - Without getting screwed. - Part of it was, we wanted
it to be, just go into it... Just go for a laugh. That would've been funny. (they laugh) - It's like, have you
heard of the eclipse? - Is this his belly? - I mean, should I take the trolley? Really? - He feels weird without
it, just give it to him. It's his safety blanket. It's his safety blanket. - What do you mean there's a new-build? Are we saying this? Okay, say it again. - I like your channel, guys. - Thank you so much! - Thank you, appreciate it. - Just remember you do have
a camera on you, just FYI. - Oh, and we can take pictures for- - Told you it was not gonna be easy. - Huh? What did you say? Oh, here's perfect. - She's almost stopped,
I gotta see her reaction. - Stop, stop, stop. - [Together] Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop! - What? - The last one we just
came from was from ze Bob. - Ze Bob Denison. - Bob Denison. - So that was a really good party, Bob. Not bad, not bad. - And shout out to Bob Denison, props to the whole setup
and having a live DJ. Thumbs up. - After you told him he has to. - Yeah. (laughs) By the way, check this guy out. - He's got a really, really cool channel and a cool Instagram. - Thank you very much. Are you not staying for this party? - No, we have dinner planned. - We have dinner already. - I actually don't know what
happened to Rico and Monika. We've lost them. (laughs) Hey guys, welcome back to NautyStyles. Yeah. Okay. - Done. - [Victoria] That's it. (they laugh) Go home. (water gently splashes) (seagulls cry)
