Finally Taking to the Skies with a Pteranodon! - ARK Survival Ascended [E13]

oh my God this is terrible the micro no this trons I don't want to be microor right now please so for some reason I woke up today and my beard was super long I didn't know that that could actually happen anymore interesting so um yeah I literally just noticed that by the way I was just setting up for an intro and I was like what the hell I need to cut that how do we cut that do we still have a scissors in here I don't know where I put my scissors So today we're going to be heading out we're going to be hopefully trying to tame up a flyer I don't know whether it's going to be a Pteranodon or if it's going to be a uh a tape jar by the way no that's not what they're actually called I just call them that and that's just I'm I'm quirky like that I guess anyway uh let's see length there we go right down to the bottom that's what we like look Okay can it stay like that though cuz that would be great oh you do get hair nice I didn't get hair before when I changed my my hairstyle or whatever I guess probably because I didn't change the length of it or anything cool anyway let's go ahead and pop these wa so Pteranodon or tape jar we'll see um honestly I'd be happy with either of them because both of those things will achieve what I want to get done here today which is heading up North and then scouting out a couple base locations so real quick let's get rid of that and let me go ahead and I'm more than likely going to get a Pteranodon so I'm just going to unlock the Pteranodon saddle and that is Smithy right um I don't know if that actually is Smithy or not I think it is didn't say that there yeah okay I guess it's not cool all right let's see uh here we go let's get one of these crafted up so yeah we should have all of that in here I would say how much fiber was it again let's just grab a crap ton I accidentally grabbed some Gunpowder it's okay boom and let's chuck all this stuff back nice so yeah we're more than likely going to get a Pteranodon um but we'll see honestly like I said I'll be happy with either of them but uh yeah let's head on out and see what we can manage to find and now that I have the Saro things are a lot better um hopefully we won't die by any by any Theos here today but but you know what I can't promise that they're just they're everywhere they really are so pteranodons um tape jars both of them kind of Spawn down south a lot um obviously they kind of Spawn everywhere but I've seen a ton of them around the place so we just need to actually try to bolo one and then hopefully we'll be able to get it knocked out within the single Bola but if not then I I don't know um I guess I could probably try and make a trap but I don't think we really need to do that let's see let me go for that white drop and actually there's a blue drop there as well we might grabb that too when can I start swimming again oh that pgo just reminded me um so you remember the pgo that we left like many episodes ago so after Jim my My Little Monkey died we uh we got a couple comments from people saying I should go over and get it well guess what I didn't need to cuz a Theo got to it yeah it's dead it's just like I looked at the Trib log the other day and I was like oh you know like I'm kind of happy uh where was the blue drop oh is that it there I think that might actually be it up there how the hell do I get up there maybe let's go around this way I think um yeah so the the little Pego is dead I I don't know really what happened I I guess somebody loaded it in and then once it was loaded in it got eaten by Theo or maybe not even just eaten just tickled to death um which is probably a worst way to go I don't know like in all honesty let's let's start a little discussion would you rather be like torn apart by like a T-Rex and probably die in like one second or have Giant Knife hands just pickle you to death like let me know down below please we need to start a discussion on this we need to spread the word of Theos being were 20 okay well 35 is definitely not a multiple of four so I can rule out the potential of it uh reversing somehow um I I'm I'm beyond confused right now that doesn't make any sense to me at all why why are the levels so weird and all over the place and how the hell did that even happen and you are gorgeous are you the one I just looked at oh my God I want that one look at that thing dude the colors and the creatures in this game they're beautiful hello little uh dimorphodon up there you look gorgeous as well I'm not actually going to look at you um yeah so I don't know I have no idea what that doesn't make any sense so confused why do things have to not be working sometimes I'll have to take a look at the back end um yeah a little bit of a mess there unfortunately all right well ignoring all of that that let's just focus on having some fun let's see um I see a Pteranodon right there please please okay you're level five dude by the way I've been getting a lot of uh of comments and stuff about my luck so far and and I was even talking to Evo and he's been saying that he's been having really bad luck I don't know what to tell you guys like you know we we go into the swamp the first Arco I see 145 I go up north the first cluster of deons I look at I see a 150 I didn't tame the 150 obviously but you know it was there um we got got a 145 uh Beaver as well like I I have no idea they're just here I have no idea what to tell you like I wouldn't I wouldn't go and spawn in a day on and like put it there for the video or maybe I would and it's all just like one massive ploy to just trick you like a little baby Diplo oh my God gorgeous uh oh I'm glad I got out of the water holy crap Mr bionic wait what level were you level 15 I think yeah that's uh that's kind of scary level 20 Pteranodon okay the only um explanation for the levels might be that maybe that uh setting got reverted and the ones that were seeing that our multiples of five are older ones and then the other ones are newer ones and if that's the case I'm just yeah I don't I don't really know what to think are you uh was this a baby trike it kind of looks I guess it's not that small I was about to say it looks like a could have been a baby triack at some point oh hello give me that let's go let's go run drive drive drive this just get out of here what egg even was that I don't even know what haven't actually even used this attack wait hang on how do you use it again you have to have like the white Crosshair there we go we got it a little bit that's like the Sarco lunge and I keep forgetting that I can actually do that I don't know if there's any benefit to it to be honest over the other attack cuz I feel like it doesn't do that much more damage maybe it actually even does less I'm not even sure um I guess I can try it out on this pannosa surus here we go so yeah you hold down C to do it and then once you have the white Crosshair okay no that actually does some good damage does it do bleed as well it almost kind of looked like it may it bleed I'm not sure though yeah it's been a long time since I've like messed around with Saros and like they were TLC years ago and obviously I probably looked into the abilities back then I already know this is not going to be possible for us there we go nice uh oh hello beautiful Gus oh man so glad that they kept them in even though they're most the most OP creature in the game all right so we're going to head down the coast here and see what we can find including that blue drop which potentially could be a thing uh yeah we could probably go for that O A pelagornis actually would be kind of sick as well hello although you're going to be harder to tame than a Pteranodon cuz we can't just use prime we'd have to use uh fish meat with them oh that's a Barry hello dude I was so close to like the full-on swamp here and I didn't even realize it damn all right uh let's see got pteranodons level 20 we got a bunch of pelorus out here yeah I probably won't go for them to be honest even if I do find a high level cuz again I'm going to have to use um I'm going to have to use thingy on it wait which ones do I already check I think I already checked you uh okay yeah probably not going to go for that blue drop as well in like the middle of the swamp kind of sort of maybe I don't know we'll see o there's a Saro let as bad as it was in the previous game because we have 150 by default instead of 100 which is uh definitely a lot nicer uh I appreciate that for sure okay is he getting bloody at all I can't even tell yeah we've got tons of Health as well all right got to watch my oxygen obviously that's the main thing but we can we can get this guy killed for sure we just need to not get swed by sharks cuz if if a bunch of sharks start coming then I'm going to start going you know uh hello yeah he only does like 52 damage it's ridiculous okay his minions definitely are they're not really even his minions I know need all of these these other creatures fighting uh yeah I don't know I feel like if all those guys swarming I know the Dolphins aren't doing anything but all the Manta are really just yeah they're insane he well the Carno is going to die real quick so see if we can focus on killing this Al rptor yeah we should have it oh wow it's already really bloody might actually just sit out on the land know check out their stuff I'm sure we'll cross over at some point soon oh there's another Alpha Raptor wow yeah the island was always crazy for Alphas they we're just like so common here I've already checked that one for sure yeah like um I think playing on some of the other dlc's after or I guess some of the DLC maps in general after playing on the island I definitely noticed that Alphas were never as common as on here uh maybe with the exception being furder early game like early when it came out that map was insane for Alphas there we go we got a level 135 not the most ideal place to tame it though not the most ideal place there's another turnon back there level okay 20 go ahead and eat this trudon hello boom got you nice uh where's the 135 we might just have to go for oh there's more trons of course there is I'm not hopping off this guy there's no way oh hello yeah no this is this was bad hello I think that there is the 135 okay that's going to be sick if we can get get that know if it's going to happen so just a heads up even though I've been looking so much for one of these things uh I didn't make any Spike fence thingies so we um I need to do that can I track them before I have them tamed it doesn't look like there's any in progress tracking unless you feed them which kind of makes sense but I don't want to feed it right now cuz I feel like maybe starving it might be a better idea although I just realized pteranodons actually do drain a little bit don't they let me pop on some berries yeah not insane what is happening with the weight am I standing on it I well uh yeah we're just we're going to sit on this guy for a little bit if I can find a baby across the river we might be able to feed it the Instant prime basically just getting one little kill and just getting enough Prime to feed it it's so silly that the babies actually still give Prime like with them everywhere I feel like it makes it way too easy right definitely does I mean I got this guy by just chopping up a dead fiomia I didn't even kill the fiomia it was already dead so yeah I don't know I mean it's nice and all but yeah I'm going to drop those cooking pots I don't need those actually yeah I'm just going to drop the majority of that stuff there just to clear up the weight a little bit because we're probably not even going to be able to ride on this Pteranodon um definitely not actually and also I'm going to have to bring back my Sarco anyway so it's all good um all right well anyway let's breaking things you know what I think there's enough things around here that I should be able to let's let's wait for it to drain down a little bit and then I'll start killing some stuff for some prime I don't want to build Spike fences around it right now cuz I don't really one of the best uh like mounts for um for early game especially cuz you can get easy honey with them as well um and to be honest even just taming them you can actually you know grab some honey out of a hive and and you know have to deal with all the bees but then once you can feed that to a bear it's it's just as good as kibble it's amazing um I'll probably kill that Paras don't you even dare I see you the very first micro Raptor of of this game for me and everything where is he even gone there he is oh you little turd you actual turd I don't want my guy freaking out right now of course and find a 150 right beside an alpha and right beside Evo's base that potentially could kill this 150 we're just going to have to risk it I mean I'm going try this if it took like here let me see okay we got it let me let me just boom try and get it with a couple head shot if we can I don't think that one was a head shot definitely was in the first one should probably be like four head shot cuz it was two on the 135 and okay there we go we got it down okay Saro we need to go up and around we need to uh we need to not have you messing up like they're just so glitchy it's super annoying it's definitely not like I like Saros and all but it's kind of ruining Saros for me right now I know they're not going to be like this forever it's just it's just very irritating that my only tame is the one that happens to be bugged out in some way let me see can I oh hang on a second if we can kill this thing as well what level is this one actually it's a level 100 okay I'm going to just lead it towards the water okay here we go if we can kill this this is our Prime we just won't harvest the body for like a little bit at least I don't know how many prime it's going to take to tame up the uh Dr on probably not too many pieces here we go all right let me angle towards it a little bit all right I'm try and get this guy killed yeah uh you know what I think we probably have enough definitely have enough Health to be able to tank it a little bit and we have a faster attack speed in the water as well so if it just stays in the water and nothing bad comes in here as well we should be pretty good this is one thing like one reason why things like a Saro if they did hydration buff for more creatures the Saro shouldn't get it mainly because of the fact that it attacks a lot faster when it's swimming stuff like this you know this is fine I like that it it's better in water and it's not as good on land I I think that that's a great idea I think it's about to die actually we might Harvest it anyway just in case cuz I don't know there could be some piranha in here here we go come on oh we got a head shot there nice so weird like I don't even know can I aim can I aim for the head and and manage to get a head shot that way kind of hard to hell very interesting though yeah there we go it's almost just like getting a crit okay I got it killed we might be okay to not Harvest her for really wait hang on a second did this get robbed of me at some point huh interesting uh okay well my Sarco just immediately ate it so that's okay at least we have the prime uh there's the bag it had some stuff in it didn't it did it have anything good uh nothing better than what I already have all right we'll leave the rest in there okay Mr tanon please don't be eaten by something already somehow um I might just feed it the prime there's probably enough things around this river that I'll be able to get some more pieces if we need them which I really don't think we will but here we go I'm still super glitchy okay there it is there's a Diplo over there it's not fighting anything that's good here we go grab some of this eat up some of that me feed you hopefully nothing bad happens okay you going to eat okay so yeah good few pieces then um should be okay though give you a little bit of narcotic in there just to have and I'm going to move you slightly away it's just so glitchy oh my God in every single way this thing is glitching I love it it's fantastic uh we can kill that Diplo if we need it all right well there we go we have a Pteranodon down it's a 150 that's the max level um obviously we're not playing with difficulty 6 anymore we're going to be playing with difficulty 5 um so 150 is our new uh max level even though that's been max level for everybody since the start but it's all good um all right cool I'm going to sit on this thing for a little while hopefully nothing bad happens I cannot promise that nothing bad will happen cuz the arc Gods like I said they absolutely love to watch me suffer um example this video and many others like it so yeah we'll um we'll go ahead and just sit here and and try to keep it safe to the best of my ability I I quite frankly I do not want to leave here I do not want to even approach it anymore I think I'm just going to sit right here the whole time yeah this works this works for me all right you should tame up so so so soon just take a a little nibble that's all you need wait is the food up to date I feel like the food doesn't drop at the same rate like on the little taming bar thing there it should tame up very soon though if it is roughly around there it definitely doesn't update every single time the food drops down though it updates every few times or or maybe like every 10 seconds or something okay so it's basically ready to tame there we go nice okay so name name give me a name thank you what was his head what was that why do I keep getting the broken creatures why was his head sideways oh my
