Finally got my Old Glory 305 sbc ready to fire up on the test stand. It sounds rowdy!!

[Music] [Music] Hey and woke up to square body stuff I'm Chad your host and this is our little 3:05 I've been working on nothing real special just basically a cam swap I cleaned it up yeah cause it looked pretty nasty it was like an ugly green color I'll here's a little clip of that I'll show you throw in there I'd wear my old glory t-shirt for the old glory 305 and I'll put the cam specs up and that'll way you guys can see what kind of camera put in here just a summit cam nothing fancy just a hydraulic flat tappet put a higher volume oil pump and z28 valve springs now I probably won't take you through the whole break-in procedure if you want to see some of that I've got another video down a while back on cam break-in I'll put some links to like what to start out at you know up here in these cards up above in the corner or down in the description below because this little motor is out of my 78 step side we affectionately call him squeaky little four-speed truck an old grain low four-speed truck 342 gears I got a mini spool in the rear eventually keep getting faster and faster with them just make a gradual progress so it is kind of a starting point of building a drag truck and maybe one of these days he'll be in the you know it'd be awesome getting in the tens one of these days on years on that rope because I do have a few big blocks around here I could build paninis this video is about breaking this cam in and getting this motor going because this is the old glory 305 before we get started if you like this kind of stuff I've got some how-to videos they got just random stuff that I do in my shop and some little road trip stuff like that if you like this kind of stuff most of it has to do with square bodies and if you liked it subscribe ring the bell see your notifications and give me some comments give me some feedback let me know what you guys think of this stuff and I'll do my best to answer any questions or comment back and we'll get started on this [Music] I got doing it down on it I've got it where I like it got Idol down to 800 or 750 800 rpm then sound too awful bad I'm gonna pull these mufflers off there see what it sounds like in the open headers [Music] [Music] I think it's gonna be a runner the whole lot better than being a stock 3:05 you don't sound like a 3:05 anymore go alright if you like what you seen here check over here I've got some videos up over here click this button over there for subscribe and you guys keep them spurred by his role and we'll catch you later
