Filmmaker and Composer Switch Roles

today me and Alex are switching places normally whenever we make a film I'm the one who will edit the film together and then he's the one who will compose the music for that film and he's amazing at composing I I hope I'm okay at editing this is going to be an interesting Journey [Music] sounds good okay too much [Music] so we're gonna snag we're gonna cut these up until they made sense do I do this earlier it's usually way into your face yes oh but I can't see it on that side because there's no light I should probably turn the lights on in here you can't stop anytime what's your struggle so far Alex basically I'm just trying to figure out what the what's the word I want to tell and so I'm finding the key Parts in each clip and I'm cutting them to like the important parts yeah so because this is not fresh on my mind I'm starting to I'm starting to get it there's your hand in the shop oh why is it so Zoom I don't want to zoom in that much yes dang what did you do uh well I wanted to do a stabilize but now it's like [Music] I actually don't know how this thing works where it's like all the shots that you're drinking and so it starts oh I totally put that in front of you um there we go baby this is not going to be a coherent edit it's so bad it really is the beginning is good oh this is drinking montage when he gets into it I like the edits there [Music] and then it smells and he takes it and then he fix it and he's like and it's done so that's how I ended my version of it yeah it's it's not gonna look very good but it's okay this shot is Overexposed [Music] uh no I'm I'm good with that so now I have to make a song for this yeah hey you know the overexposure here is kind of good though it doesn't look terrible so we're gonna deliver this now are we gonna deliver it or we're just gonna leave it here we're gonna leave it there and then I'll make the song nice okay okay garage bag let's do this thing access to the mic should we be singing uh I recommend 120 beats per minute by the way if you figure out what that is I don't know what that is bad no I went back to the same place oh [Music] Alex this is why you make the music I have three random pianos in there I don't need I don't know how to get rid of them [Music] thank you contemplative scent [Music] this is GarageBand songs you know you just keep stacking and stacking because you can't stop Maybe okay [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] okay so then right here I need to add like something in there this is set it's beautiful and nothing needs to change I feel like I should watch through the clip with this again but I I'm not going to I'm just going to export it and put it in there genius [Music] this is beautiful right click download and we're tossing it in the timeline [Music] oh look how good I lined that up it gets so it's literally a few seconds off so this is how we're winding this up look at that oh and then we'll just have the song end with it it won't fade or anything and then we will want to make it like negative 25 is what I found is good I think this is gonna be the best film we've ever made oh I don't know [Music] [Music] thank you foreign [Music] he can't stop whenever he wants he he can't [Music] so simple [Music] [Applause] [Music] thank you foreign [Music] that was interesting let us know how we did in the comments down below and I'm excited to read those I mean my song making skills are top-notch not gonna lie thank you guys for watching we hope that you enjoyed and I'll see you next time [Music] thank you [Music]
