[Music] well first thing we're going to do with this old diesel are this off sorry diesel te d petrol Caro is this was the old tap and that was the OL screen the little petrol starting ones blocked completely and then the other one has a screen missing as well a while back I did a video on restoring one of these so let's put it in looks a bit too shiny for the rest of the tractor doesn't so that's not looking bad I'll tighten that up and I'll come back when it's done well I've put fuel in both tanks I'll put a bit of petrol in each of them main reason is to see what's leaking and what's not is the tank any good yeah we'll just go from there and just see but both the tanks appear to be good even though this petrol tank looks very dirty inside I'll just do up this pipe around the back of the fuel tap here that I hadn't done and we'll see though we haven't even tried to start this factor yet we heard it run a while ago years ago few years ago follow borah off said he could get it running for a couple of minutes so we'll just see all right we'll turn the fuel tap i've got the bowl off here so I can see that's the fuel tip to the large tank Glenny feel later on an engine not an awful lot on that one that tank was very dirty I'd say I'd say with us putting the new fuel in we've stirred up all the junk and I'll probably have to pull this out from time to time and clean it up but that feel sample isn't very good I'll put the ball back on just loosely and that sample of fuel air is very cloudy you can see here's the thing you can see you can't see through it at all so we don't want that work out there boss all the gain run a bit I'll tighten that up clean that up so you can see what feel sample we have and turn it on this way looking real good is it okay so that tells us there's a the flights probably stuck on the carburetor see when we loosen it off and let a bit of air in it comes good and you'll see that sample of fuel there is far better so for this moment at this moment we'll run off the front tank and we'll leave that front tank open and we'll go around to the car be and see what we've got I've got the drain missing on the car be on the other side I've actually undone it so we'll go around there for a look well this is a this is the lighter car be the 28 G and just down here that you can't quite see there's a fuel drain tap and the fuel drain tap there's a sake and drain the rubbish out of the car be now with the fuel on coming into this pipe we should have feel just pouring out of there so first fix give the needle and seat a bit of a tap sometimes that's enough not in this case so what we need to do is undo the pipe there is that I'm doing that's underling editor I'll be so we need to you need to dip that up we're gonna get another Spanish I can put two spinners on it I'll be back in a minute okay looks like the spanner has been rounded it's not a what undo this and deal with it outside the car VI think don't be careful with these car B's they've got this rubbish metal in here if you tighten this too tight you can split it that's a 12 by 1.5 thread if I remember rightly I may be wrong on that don't race out and buy the heli-field kit yet and whatever the bull by the balls so what we're looking for is that we have fuel coming out of this fitting that's Wiggly just plenty let that run for a little but obviously the kneeling seats just in here you don't attempt that hard I sister look it's nice guy so let's take the cow be off well can turn the fuel off let's fuel off just to set up out of the wire a little bit you think I've done get the right tools I need to pull the throttle back well they got in a they got a little huh a little bit of war just too tight for your fingers there we go some big homemade caught desk it in there so I'd say the cabbies been up a couple of Dawn's I've got the choke off in this instance I'm just gonna pop the governor right off to come with it they've got a bit of wire all twist up they in the back I don't know here this was running look at the sloppiness bloody things he kind of been running real well that'll come off with the car be near normally if there's just a split pin at the back of the carb you can pop in and pop him off but this one and there you go what a beautiful bit of gear that's that a little bit of war just having the throttle rod on so that is why you can't quite get it straight enough to get it out sometimes anyway let's take this inside to the bench and we'll have a bit of a fiddle okay look we've got the carp on the bench I've gone to give it a bit of a clean just a bit of a one I didn't want to get too stuck into it but in the Cairo bath that's as good as it come up there's a bit of a blow dryer with Samia and that's it that's good enough to get us started we'll do the job properly when we when we get there yeah all I have at home here there's a gasket to set for 28g it's a beer coke it and I haven't haven't had need to go to town so I'm not planning on it if I can help it and this kit when we had the big floods we went through the floods and the gaskets a little bit hard but I was too sick or too much of a tight-ass just roll it out so we'll see it may save the day today the paperwork is all we're here see if I can get it apart there's the exploded diagram that you get with the with the kit so we'll we'll start look first up is on these carb is the easiest thing to do this is one two three four when you see that yet one one one two three four five six screws here on the top of the car B so if we undo them yes sometimes if these screws get hard just put your large screwdriver the largest one for the groove and just give it a tap with a hammer and sometimes that jar will be enough to get them to free up they shouldn't be too tired as a rule I'll try and keep it and fried me 14 sometimes when you're filming yet you're trying to get a shot in and next thing you you slide the job off to the side a little bit and you realize you've been talking to no one and no one can see what you're talking about anyway that's highly likely to happen more that fitting on the carbs II it's only finger tight it's got the Fred tape on it and there's hardly a hex left honor it's been off that many times but interestingly on the two bolts that come out of the fuel bowl one of them had no hex left on a feeder so I'd say fuel has been a problem with this but it will run through this we'll try and clean it up enough to get the tractor going these has no spring washers under them where others have heads so near the top yep we have here so I'll just turn that there's a little there's a little cross in there and a little cross here so if you're trying just put Adina won't go in but if you bring it around at an angle it'll go in and then it can't slide it that's how they keep it there okay so look at this look at the flights they look quite sticky now the needle see what should have happened is when the fuel come through the pipe into here but sort of tiddled out the needle here and no matter where this was with it empty that sort of let fuel come back out through this hole here and drained but it wouldn't do that so it's really worth looking at the needle and the seat yeah this little this little shaft to you there's a little shaft the little brass shaft and you can see it comes up each side here so it's a u-shape so we'll just try and get a little layering pic under there and that may be easier said than done go to look over that well we won't leave that for a moment we will take this top gasket off now the needle and seat it's probably a 13 millimeter [Music] and look at that there's not hauling their rule completely blocked with rubbish that's why there was no fuel coming through nothing at all all right I'll see if we can find a new needle and seat well if I think sends me this far we might just pull the whole thing apart do the proper job now that's a venturi notice there's a long side here and the short side the long side sits down into the housing and the short side sits down here with the main jet and with the air coming in through the side here and going up through there getting drawn in by the engine the venturi makes a load pressure here yet around here and that actually sucks the fuel up in then it keeps it suspended until it goes into your engine so I think this is such a mess that we might just run right through it yeah Chad shaft is a little way but look this that's not a problem for us there's an adjustable main jet let it look at the rubbish in a floral thing never had a hyper did it looks like I better make a bit of room that's the OL Nederland seat there now with these Jets try and get the correct socket to go then if you're keen I think we would need an 8 millimeter which in a long socket I'm not looking real promising to having all right we're gonna have a look for the proper Spanish come back right I don't know I should have a socket for this but anyway I had a little spanner that I could work up into the end here and loosen it up it's a 5/16 so I do have one somewhere so there's a job now find that that's the bottom of the main jet there depending on how far this is through - how much fuel just letting down through the bottom of the air so now check shafts not looking too bad a little weird but that's okay there's a little same gauze in there that we can't see anymore I would like to get that is here out if I can and there's a couple of really small little jets in here they are tiny but we'll clean all the random I'll get a bit of um car be clean and I'll I'll give them a bit of a blow or just see if I can get them in it without damaging anything the top of this one here looks to be damaged and this one doesn't look too bad for kidding yourself a frozen Unni I'm pretty sure anyway I'll go get some car be claiming will give us all right we're back all Troy tap this little gasket hammer slams on the other one it's coming the Tony Laura Pausini that one come easy they're different size there are different size threads so you can't so you can't mix them up like yeah I'll just make sure there's no rubbish inside you can see down through the center here that's the other side of this stone gauze and the stained gauze is to let a bit of fuel air without letting dirty and if you get a bit of a gap fault but it's all blocked up down there you can see the rubbish in there incredible all right now we have to work on this follow yeah I'll see if I can get a right angle over it that's coming near and that's you that's your flight and this is on a 28 G car B now what we look with these files we look to see if there's een dents in them there's a dent there so if there's Denson and that's a sign that the car B there's another mark there a dent can be a sign that it's backfired and collapsed the slide a little bit but something written on there non I can't really see it I'm thinking see this mark you can see that dark marker nd that's an epoxy of some sort was it a Stein it looks to be down the bottom here of the record sick makes actually rub mark the dent on the on the front it seems to come off easy enough that's probably more of staying to the anything else but I think will shattered a new flight I think it's just a sensible thing to do the other choke 7:16 spanner is feeding that Cho cleaver and the spring water under the nut and the shaft is flat on both sides and that's what locates everything in the right place they're in the choke plate here you'll see two screws getting through here yeah the screwdriver that looks like it a little shop it [Applause] there's one screw coming let me just grabbing [Applause] it's all thought in a fall he saves that helps this at all you don't have your finger down there without wrecking the pain divert a bit on the back and you have to sort of bring that out but one screw no you got me finger in hindsight I should've left the lever on a little longer so I could hold onto it easier screw that's what it looks like near there's a stopper going up a little bit of wearing the track doesn't matter it's the throttle that marks up all your settings so we might just drop those screws in here loosely you neither shed creaking as a we're in a big tin shed and as the Sun comes on the roof it expands and as the cloud comes over contracts and that's all the noise say you can't feel some way of they let's have the white of linkage Annette aren't but that's a now we have another a little bit to attack up the end here now use a bigger screwdriver for that at this stage I can't tell you exactly what each it does that's just a plug there's nothing more in that housing but it is very dirty down the bottom but sort of dirty everywhere when you look at it okay moving on to the top half yeah there is a bit of where in that shaft you can feel it I've seen him run with worse than that no worries but let's have a look let's try and fix him up we have an idle speed actually an idle mixture screw up here that's been bent at some stage it's got a little bit of it wiggle to him but the thread does look ok someone's been a bit heavy-handed with it now on the main butterfly there's two screws in there if you're going to want to do thanks you feel like that been love time I wonder what I'm after him are they it just feels you can feel a little bit of drag over one [Applause] and the other screw yes there with this one I believe I hope no more of this right so I'm flying a little bit blind yep it just pulls it must be remembering north and I soar that's the butterfly shaft that's the main wonder if you get too much movement here you get a bit of hunting sometimes as a that sits one way and the mixture settles your runs a bit lean so it tries to correct itself and go the other way but because far as where he goes this isn't a bad one a little lock nut here and that's for your idle speed so they normally don't have a nut that other ones I've done well my need under 24 - so reps a dude will take that it yet I think I'll leave that shaft together with this stage I'll probably use it again I want you I'm gonna move freely it feels like like it looks like some Tarzan's grip glue here and it feels like that's got Danny into here so I wonder if I had to glue it together you can see just around here all this stuff like it's just without glue to gas getting into the top there but yeah a lot of oxidization and rubbish in here and the thread here was always suspect I feel this bloody thread type unit thread type should be banned you should just you should have to go I'll show your plumber's ticket the boy it's all right on shitty house fittings but um [Music] alright there's nothing more we can pull out of this as I say it's got the zenith 28g written near I think I'll go I'll clean all this up and we'll come back and see what we're gonna do [Music] you [Music]
