hello and welcome to this little tutorial as you can see here these two textures or materials are inside of the fbx file and they are empty um let's say i want this character as you can see the textures are loaded i click on download fbx for unity t pose and click on download and as you can see the textures aren't imported open it up and go to file and import fbx then you have to find the fbx file you downloaded so we have this parasite as starkey dot fbx click on import and there it is delete this box so here we can see this uh the the character and we can actually preview the texture and as you can see the texture is inside if you want to know how to do that just press z or that and press material preview you will see the texture so in blender the texture is actually there so what we can do now is go to uv editing select this character press tab or go to edit mode and then we can see on the left side there is the actual image the actual texture this texture we can now [Music] export so we click on image save as then we can name it um what was this character named i forgot tutorial dot png let's save it on the pictures save this image and then we can close blender so that's the texture then create a new material parasites material apply the texture to the albedo and put the material onto the character or model or whatever and there you can see the material is applied to the character now we can also uh either we save this as a new original prefab then the texture will always be on there but we can also to save the animation and all that i think it's in here too but in general i just saved the material in the original imported prefab click on apply and as you can see the original prefab now has the texture on it in some cases there will be more than one texture on your model but that's no problem because in blender you can then just select the different parts of the model that have different textures and export all of them and apply them onto the character if the character actually has more than one texture you will see that [Music] for example here you can see that the character has more than one texture and all these textures will be or you can find all these textures inside of the file with blender export them and make new materials just like here or these three images so i hope this workaround helps you a little bit it saved me a lot of time a lot of headaches once i figured it out because i was searching for a solution for this but i didn't find anything else other than this and this works completely fine it's pretty fast and yeah thank you for watching i hope i could help you and yeah have a nice day
