Favorite Foundations for Mature Skin | Over 50 Beauty

it's time for my annual favorite foundations video for mature skin those over 50 and i've got a lot of new foundations to cover today well they're new to me i'm trying to think most aren't really that new on the market but uh as my needs have changed as i've gotten more hyperpigmentation melasma showing in my skin and i need to cover it a little bit more but i still want that light natural looking skin i have been searching out different foundations and i can't wait to show you what i found hi my name is lisa welcome to my youtube channel lisa monique beauty where we cover all things beauty and changing a lot i have had a pretty deep suntan which i haven't had in probably 10 or 15 years and it's been about three weeks since i've been out in the sun so it's actually fading so i've been buying a lot of foundations that were perfect shade for me two weeks ago and now they're getting a little dark and then i had some that were just a little bit light but i kept them thinking i would fade into them and now they are the perfect shade so i'm going to show you these foundations i really love all of them and how they all sit on my skin but they all do have some differences overall i am looking for a very natural or luminous finish if it is radiant i don't want it to look too greasy or too glowy so let's go over my new favorites my first foundation on this list is a luxury brand called suku and you can only purchase it in the uk at selfridges and you can purchase it online us dollars they'll ship to the us and i know that that's going to prevent a lot of people from getting it it prevented me from purchasing it for a long long time and actually a good makeup artist friend of mine who knew that i was coveting it actually gifted it to me and it is such an amazing amazing foundation it is the suku cream foundation it retails for eighty dollars it only comes in twelve shades and the shades are so strange so i have the shade 040 which is uh maybe just slightly half a shade light for me now i think in another week it'll be the perfect shade for me but if i do get a little bit more color in my skin uh i probably need to go up in to the next shade which is not 0.50 which is what you would think it would be it's 150 but the numbering system is just a little different for me i should go back on the website maybe i'll put that as a slide because i do remember the website kind of showed it how with different undertones and everything you kind of jumped around in the numbers i'm not really sure what shade how to pick your shade except just by looking at the dot and saying that one looks pretty close so before i want to start demonstrating the foundations i did want to show you my skin right now i have some wrinkles but overall not that many wrinkles for 54 almost 55. i have a little bit of crepiness right here on that little baggie area and i have some melasma right around here it goes over the chin here all the way down here on both the cheeks and so the melasma makes my face look really blotchy and a lot of times when i just put a light tinted moisturizer on which is what i used to love for the summer when we want to go lighter in makeup and it just doesn't look as good i don't feel when i finish my makeup i just don't feel that i look as put together as i do when i have a little bit more coverage evening out my skin so that's what i was looking for were foundations to even out my skin so the first one the suku i got before i had a suntan so this shade is going to be a little light but i really do love this foundation i think it's so excellent for mature skin that i wanted to demonstrate it but when you put it on it goes on really creamy it feels like a luxury foundation it is so smooth it looks so good it has such amazing coverage but still looks like skin i find it is the heaviest coverage with the most skin like finish and it just keeps your skin looking and feeling super moisturized it's infused with 13 japanese sourced extracts we're talking green tea silk proteins and the formula leaves the skin smooth and hydrated while blending seamlessly and staying luminous throughout the day and it definitely does so it is just a gorgeous foundation and then on the other side i'm going to pair it with my new drug favorite drugstore foundation which last week was the perfect shade it's starting to get just a little dark now and it is the maybelline dream radiant foundation or liquid foundation this is a medium covered foundation and it's formulated with hyaluronic acid and collagen it moisturizes the skin and gives it a very natural finish it comes in 20 different shades and it provides smooth and even looking skin it feels like a luxury foundation it's not the same as the suku which is feels like a luxurious cream the dream radiant foundation feels more like a nice moose it it's like a creamy mousse so it feels very light and airy when you go when it goes on i just love the way it feels it's just a beautiful beautiful foundation and it is gorgeous on i push it in so this they both say that they are medium coverage foundations i definitely think that suku has more coverage with just even a single coat so this the sooku i think is a little bit heavier a foundation i can see most of my pigmentation it's a little more faded but i can see it through the dream radiant foundation so i'm going to go back with just a second coat and push it in all right so this is the dream radiant foundation and this is a suku okay the next foundation i'm going to talk about is an old favorite makeup artist it is the dior backstage face and body this foundation is so amazing it is a light weight foundation it's almost liquid going on it dries down it is waterproof it is buildable it is sweat proof and that's why makes it makes it so amazing to even put on your body if you had sun tan lines or anything like that but it dries down to look just like skin you cannot tell you have any foundation on it is not sitting on top of the pores at all it is just beautiful in to the skin and i'm pairing it with another lightweight foundation this is the l'oreal age perfect radium serum foundation this one it is my kind of run out i want a dewy looking fresh face foundation or i don't want to put on additional sunscreen so i put it on to even things out and provide that sun protection but it is just a little leans a little on the glowy side for me i definitely prefer it with a light powdering to try and tone it down but sometimes you do want that kind of glowy dewy look and use just a bit of gold shimmer and then you have that really summery fresh look and this would be the perfect foundation it definitely stays on a long time it doesn't move into your fine lines it is a great product if you like that finish if you have a drier skin it's probably going to be really nice on youtube so this one is a little dewier whereas the backstage you can see it's immediately dried down it doesn't look like i have any makeup on at all oh i love this next foundation it is the too faced born this way 24 hour matte foundation so i was a little concerned about getting a matte foundation because i don't normally like that dry full coverage look but i love their concealer so i was excited to try the foundation now the foundation is lighter than the concealer so it is a lighter consistency it goes on really beautiful it covers perfectly it's not too heavy i still see a little bit of the dimension in my skin but you can build it up so if i did want to put an extra layer over just some of my hyperpigmentation or my melasma you can do that but overall it just has that perfect skin like finish that i love i'm really forgetting to talk about these shades the age perfect foundation comes in 15 different shades and it retails for 15.69 the dior backstage comes in i believe 40 different shades and it retails for 40 the dream radiant foundation i believe only comes in 12 shades so it is really lacking there uh but it's like seven dollars at the drugstore okay so the born this way comes in 35 different shades it is 40 dollars i believe at sephora it'll be down below and even though it says it's a matte foundation it really is a natural skin like finish okay so on the other side i'm going to put a foundation that i really love the color was so perfect for me last week it looks a little dark this week but this is the rare beauty liquid touch weightless foundation it's another foundation that dries down you can touch your face it doesn't feel like you've got makeup on it comes in 48 shades and it retails for 29. it's only sold at sephora but i really i have this in two different shades so i might mix my lighter shade with this now that my skin is getting a little paler to get that perfect in between shade right now it says on the website that it's good for medium or for normal to combination skin but i have normal to dry skin and maybe because i moisturize it so well with my embryolisse or whatever i'm putting on my face i find it it's not drying at all and it just has a really nice finish all day so i really do love that both of them have again a natural skin like finish i don't feel like either of them scream that i have foundation but they're just really good coverage and then my final favorite foundation is the elf camo cc cream it's a color correcting a full coverage natural finish foundation it has collagen peptides niacinamide has spf of 30. so it really is an all-encompassing foundation i'm not going to show me applying it but it is what i am wearing right now so even though it is a full coverage foundation it still has that nice skin like finish surprisingly for a full coverage foundation this one is just a little bit dewer also i'm gonna guess it's because these two have a lot of sunscreen so this one's got the spf 30 this one's got the spf 50. i'm thinking when you start mixing too much sunscreen you kind of get that sunscreen glow and so the lc camo cc cream comes in 16 shades it's medium to full coverage and it's buildable and i believe it's about 20 again i'll have that all down below so these are my new favorite foundations most of them have such a beautiful perfect finish that you don't even need to powder your face afterwards which i also like because sometimes powder kind of tends to set and look cakey except for the two with sunscreen those are the two that you might have a little bit more glow or a little bit more dewy finish a radiant finish that you might need to powder down i hope you enjoyed this review and
