got a new permission uh which is always exciting to find a new property of this uh late 1800s property there's been a ton of grading around here so we're going to have to find where the original ground was but the other reason it's exciting is because my son Nick is here with me today for the first time howdy yeah so Nick and I are gonna hit this place and see what we can find we've got a few hours here so come on along let's see what we can find want to get some history in our hands on to the next metal detect full of Adventure full of planning for some comrade ready Ryan oh yeah it's full of elation frustration and even inspiration people do it for all sorts of different reasons me I just want to hold a little history in the hand [Music] got a signal here we got ourselves a coin and uh I think it's a dime yep and a modern dime at that 1990. but it's worth 10 cents so uh that's always good on to the next I feel like I should know what this is but I can't place it you know what that is please let me know in the comments non-ferrous no idea on to the next so uh this this uh this gave an Indian head penny vdi however it apparently looks like the Hood from an army ambulance an ambulance roof is also a cool thing to find so we'll put that on the good side now this is kind of interesting oh here's for your your uh yeah that that's a match to your can guys lookie here we found ourselves yup [Music] um I don't he's laying them for Pawn to coming up this far from the pond Pond is way down there they need sandy soil to lay their eggs [Music] kind of don't know what kind of turtle that is [Music] ah hi little fella it's just us beeping we'll be we'll move along now that is cool I found what looks to be part of a kind of a modern Chrome belt buckle that look at that and that's it it looks like it melted there's broken glass in it I know [Music] I have no idea looks like fire melted it though um he did say that the bank Barn burned in in the 1950s I wonder if this was just bulldozed all the way down here because that that was extreme heat cool find Nick yeah I mean that's that's cool Matchbox car or Hot Wheels made by Mattel 1977. not sure what car it is but it's a beauty another little turtle what are they doing up here how in the world could they ever lay eggs see his little tail that is such a long way to crawl all the way up here I know he's a tiny one yep oh is that a box turtle painted turtle I don't know my turtles he's cute yeah wow look at him go he's a sprinter eh found a suspender adjuster by pioneer and we we left the farm behind it now we're in Nick's backyard so we're hoping to find more things so brass suspender adjuster that counts see the little see the little teeth pioneer so that's cool yep Nick finds a penny uh 95. uh-huh and it's already starting to Oh No 19 yeah 1995. see these are made of zinc with a little bit of copper on the outside and look how since 95 that's already literally deteriorating getting eaten away yep the copper ones that are made before 1982 are called Lincoln cents and those we call zinkans hey you found a coin way to go you know you don't expect to find this in the middle of town but there's an old bullet shell brass is brass wow that's heavy [Music] to the next [Music] oh [Music] wow oh that is almost complete that is way cooler than my 19 1990 penny [Music] Disney Pixar you know what it looks like it just needs a little bit of um it just needs to be aligned yeah oh that's cool nice I think we've got us a silver dime we have found ourselves a Rosie from 1953. look at that a silver dime cha-ching is that a keychain yeah I heart Texas teddy bear oh Nick that is the find of the day oh that look at it's bedazzled it's Bejeweled red eyes oh that is Nick that is so cool now did you did you expect to find a bear today uh no we found Turtles and bears oh yeah that is that is so cool is it it's metal on the back wait a minute it's it's got metal legs yeah the whole thing is oh my goodness that okay that's the find of the day that we gotta we we've got to clean that up and take a we have to I gotta get a close-up of this I'm gonna go clean it up on the on the hose spigot hereby award myself the wing nut award well that's kind of cool found a 1945 nickel buried right down here just off of the back porch I'll clean it up and see if we can get a close-up Nick found an earring that's nice jewelry is always good yes oh that's cool yeah um 1945 nickel now this could be what is considered a war nickel it may have 40 percent silver in it I almost think it does because of how shiny it's getting see that yeah makes me think maybe so but I don't I I don't know what year the war nickels are anyway bubs I gotta I gotta get going so let's lay everything we found out and we'll finish up but to see a can seven ounces well so what did you think of your first day of metal detecting it's good uh being in the city yeah we found nicer we found more here than where we expect it to but sometimes the case right yeah I think once when we got there and I saw how how tiered the land was I knew that that a bulldozer had moved a lot of dirt so and that soil was the so Rocky I just couldn't believe it was nuts well we'll take a look at what we've gotten and I gotta get going I consider it a success absolutely and it was fun just being together absolutely you found the race car okay here we are kind of ready to take off um Nick found a forged ring that was super heavy and it looks like there's wear um this was our mystery melted object with glass in it that's from the barn fire clothespin um earrings some coins that that's the find of the day the Bejeweled I love Texas keychain two race cars [Music] numerous pull tabs Pabst Blue Ribbon seven ounce mini can mystery item I think that was a belt buckle there is um that's a suspender adjuster this is from the points of an old vehicle and some copper wire Michelob wing nut melted lead a war nickel from 45 a Rosie from 53 and some Modern coins and this teeny tiny little tap oh that's just fabulous well thanks for following us today Nick and Steve signing off from history in the hand with a reminder that if you're not
