>> And more on welcome news for parts of waterlogged Kingwood today. More water. This is a live look at the area right now from Sky drone 13. The water came up pretty quickly in some spots. Needless to say, new roads plunged underwater. Several homes are now unreachable. >> ABC 13 S Luke Jones is live at a shopping plaza in Hamblen at Forest Cove, and he's been watching that area. >> Yeah, what we're seeing out here, truly incredible because there was a time this morning when this entire parking lot was bone dry. And now look, all of it covered in at least six inches of water. Let's go ahead and show you some video from above. But also I want to show you kind of the progress the water is making today. So around 1130 just a few of these parking spots up here, the water had reached them. Most of them though, they were good. And this gas pump, it was definitely on the higher ground. But around 330, 4:00 that's when the first water reached the gas pumps. We were talking maybe one inch, and now at 6:00, 630, several inches here. And the rest of this shopping plaza, as I mentioned, inundated with water. And that's why all of these business owners think it's just a matter of time before the water gets inside. And At the cove, the drinks and the laughs flow as readily as the water rushing over the road outside. >> I hope there's not flood. This is my favorite place, but with water from the west fork of the San Jacinto River spilling into the parking lot this morning, it soon became a guessing game. >> How much water would make it in the bar? We're expecting about probably 2 to 3ft inside, owner Shawn Geyser says. They flooded three times before today. Their mission is to salvage as much as possible, and we got rid of all the electronics, got all that out of there, you know, and tried to get everything else up above. Around the corner, two men wade through waist deep water past a submerged car, and I could see somebody moving around in the car with his window open and he sat there for about five minutes. Two fire crews hours apart, come to check on the same vehicle. But by this point the driver is long gone. Rescued hours earlier by a good Samaritan. This road passable last night. Today under water. The Gators pizza restaurant on an island. It's why so many on North Shore Drive chose to evacuate. >> So we definitely prepared for the worst by getting as much out as we could. And now we just wait and watch and the water definitely is coming up a lot faster today than it was yesterday. >> Yesterday, water had already flooded at least three homes in her neighborhood, and while it hasn't reached any more, it's still closer. >> So I'm still expecting water to come in the house, I was thinking it's probably going to be more, but maybe now just a couple feet. >> And you're looking live now at Hamblen Road near Forest Cove. The water just rushing over that roadway, barricades erected. They don't want anyone to drive down. That hasn't stopped some. And we've seen plenty of people walking there. Really? What you're looking at today, a good reason why most of those in the North Shore subdivision took yesterday to pack up their belongings and evacuate.
