so today we've had a little bit of rain not much my fields dry out quick so I want to go disken with the M there's only one problem and I'm gonna show you right now on these discs themselves and I have in a previous video but I haven't done anything about it until now today's gonna change the game for me alright so what we have going on today we have an international 370 disc gang here some people call it 12-foot I like to think of this as a 13 foot six-inch set of discs but I wasn't able to use this with my M because of this bad bad bad cylinder I don't know what size it is I'm gonna tell you it's a dinky little thing maybe two inch maybe and I mean it's small plenty for a big tractor with you know 2700 psi or you know even more than that but for the farm LM with 500 psi out of the factory it just wasn't cutting it it would cold you know it would lift in and lower it but once the m got hot this was this was wheels up oh I mean pretty much I mean I could sort of feather it with the wheels touching but it wouldn't lift and lower it so here we go we got the four inch put on here I got brand new hoses as well all new fittings you know I figured you know what screw it why not go ahead and go for it I could have taken the old ones off the old hoses and put on there but my thinking is is if I ever sell this gang the old non faithful homeboys going right back on that gang at least it'll have one I couldn't tell you the amount of discs that I see on Craigslist and otherwise hello 1200 for the set or 1500 no cylinder so at least they will be getting a cylinder that does work with the higher psi and you can also put it in transport just lock that piece there with with a pin like I can't even find it now so but either way oh that's what's going on we're gonna get the M hooked up to this this is day two of dry we did get some rain last night like I said probably an eighth inch of rain but when you already have five or six that you're trying to get rid of anything is insult to injuries let's get this thing hooked up to the M let's get some discs and done see I had to fit angle with it a little bit one thing I do want to tell you if you're new to this not not pretty experienced farmers anytime you put a new cylinder and hose this you're probably going to want to add a little bit extra hydraulic fluid to the tractor now I run height ran in all my machines I don't want to cross contaminate they did not have height ran when this M come out in 1940 but I am running height ran in it now and I did put a little extra in there so that this was working and all that good stuff but uh height ran is 10 weight oil and I think back in the day they called for 30 weight in the hydraulics but we've come a long way with our hydraulic fluid and oils just in general so let's get this show on the road I'm gonna show you the lifting and lowering I should have showed you the before with this leaky piece of crop but I'm gonna tell you ahead of time problem is solved and I knew it would be that's just a monster of a cylinder for you know this size of a gang I mean that could that would work well with set of 30 you know now this field was plowed with the 756 in the three bottom three eleven 314 plow and I'll put a one-minute real quickie in here for those of you that missed the video of me plowing this field or this part of the field mouth [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] alright now we did get a lot of rain I do hold some water here always have this is a sandy loam a gravel bottom type but I do have pockets of clay here that do hold water and this is one of them you know just glacial withdrawal left deposits of different things here and there and everywhere it's just basic geology but you know on it it is this river bottom but there are pockets where we've dug down and it's clay for just about as deep as you want to dig so I'm gonna get discs in this I'm hoping it's dry enough and I can kick up a little bit of dust and actually get through I think the first time through I might have to feather them but the second time through I'm gonna go wheels up so get her done [Applause] I'm giving it all it wants now I'm staying in fourth gear wheels up I'm not float number or feather or number whatever you want to call it feather really but doing a pretty good job I mean this is about a little four acre piece so what a good job for the EM and I'm real happy with how things are working some wheels completely up right now cylinders working great out in the field I'm going to come across this field right here in fourth gear wheels completely up like I said these the blades on here are 22s their big heavy blades so not a light package for an EM all right now I'm gonna go in third [Music] [Music] [Music]
