Fancy Concrete Driveway

hey everybody what's up I'm Mason the Mason in this video I'm helping my cousin Frank pouring a driveway today half of it uh truck just got here uh this doesn't happen very often this dude he's training them today you all right be on the camera all right so this is a new driver so yeah here we go so we got wire in here we wet the gravel down and what that does is uh the the top won't dry as fast so it's but the sun's out on air today and we're going to try and prevent it from blowing up on us those Canadian wildfires where uh the smoke was coming down in here in like central Pennsylvania it's not as bad as it was yesterday but it's still a little hazy so makes good for the concrete you know meatball [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] so since it was only me and Frank for 10 yards uh I did not have any time whatsoever to videotape us so when we got to about this section it really started getting hard and it took like everything we had to finish down to here and then after we gave everything we had we had to go over that sidewalk which was also hard as a rock and finish that but overall it turned out nice uh then we came back from lunch and graded and formed up there and here so this is the pour we're going to do tomorrow equally about the same yardage so yeah really good productive day and uh we'll be we'll be back tomorrow to uh do this side so today we came and we poured that today we had help from germ so me and Frank didn't die again today and we had a really easy day here uh turned out real nice so these are double edged so it looks like the control joints uh that we put right there and uh this is pretty cool too both edges look like curbs so we have a fancy edger that puts these curbs on there finish these sidewalks formed up this pad got it all graded tamped all that good stuff but yeah so this is the curbing that looks really good little four-way there look going across here it turned out really really nice got a bunch of stuff cleaned up so that was a nice easy day I'm sorry I didn't have my camera out the truck came and then I forgot to get it out get the camera out and everything but we'll be back on we'll be back on Tuesday to pour this so I just need some wire which we got right there and pour this not quite as big as the other ones but yeah this thing's turning out really nice very very nice then back here behind the house we formed up this pad as well this is a 14x 20 4 in thick got that all formed and graded and all that good stuff so we had a really good produ day um this por is going to suck you got to wheel it through this gate back here so this one's going to be a little bit more labor intensive even more than the driveway so that'll be fun so we'll be back Tuesday so here we are final pour got uh do two pores today so that's got Reggie here helping us germ so this is I don't even know how many yards but it's really freaking steep so it's going to be dry and hard to screed and then we got a wheel around the back what we formed up the other day so starting here and moving around the [Music] back [Music] got that all done and bll floated that was an absolute pain to Bull Float that with how freaking steep it was now we're back here got to do uh do this by wheelbarrows so going back here all righty got a ramp at that don't don't lots of work oh that's way better oh my God that other stuff was on like a 4in slump that was so hard to move around this that's way better [Music] [Music] well would you believe it we were like five wheelbarrows short on concrete we got a full truck 10 yard and uh just literally that much short so I'm going to Bull Float this and we're going to go start taking care of the other pad cuz that one is setting up real quick so yeah that's that's a little bit of a damper on the day all right so got that all finished so now that's done with the driveway this was uh another hard one but it's really nice it's a lot of concrete right there yeah it looks pretty good and then we uh swirled the one in the back so this was all pool broomed up the driveway out the sidewalk so put my swirly birds in here that was a lot of concrete for us to put down today especially being like that far of a distance away from each other so glad uh glad it turned out so good all right well that's it for this concrete job so yeah thanks for watching
