fallon carrington is the protagonist of the tv series dynasty she's the daughter of oil baron blake carrington and heiress to atlanta energy fortune constantly at odds with her stepmother over the future of their dynasty falm becomes driven to create a name for herself outside of her father's and is highly ambitious as she sets her sight on her own legacy initially dynasty was an american soap opera aired in the 80s the show originally and still is following the stories of the over-the-top trials and troubles of the fabulously wealthy carrington and colby clans the costumes of the original dynasty are more memorable to some people than the actual plot lines the wardrobe was primarily designed by nolan miller his influences included strong silhouettes of the 1940s movie actress gowns and timeless but also trendy pieces of clothes from jewels and copious amounts of fur to gowns and structured blazers this signaled a turning point for fashion consumption in the 20th century as a new era of women were beginning to assert themselves within their style in real life customers went to stores such as bloomingdale's to buy miller's fashion collection if the look is a little familiar it's beautiful work that he has done instead i'm planning it like an homage internally the character of fallon is the same she is feisty over privileged and manipulative but also incredibly intelligent business-oriented and highly ambitious here very cold-hearted and uncaring which is highly visible through her constant sarcastic jabs at others at least now we know what happened to kim kardashian's stolen ring please capture the thing that just happened to his eyes that's his essence no this is how new dynasties are born under her heart exterior she does have a good heart and tends to do right by others because she doesn't want to genuinely hurt anyone overall she has a very vivid personality and always makes a statement her style is of a similar nature dynamic and head turning this explains why we see fallon in such a wide range of styles all of her looks are very sleek and polished they also tend to have a more edgy or playful element through prints accessories or fabrics she often flaunts her branding which has to do with her value on money and success she wants to prove herself and bold branding is usually very associated with money she tends to do this in a very tasteful way though the show has very extravagant events and fallon's attire is a perfect match hence a more lavish and style focused show in the very first episode reboot actually references the original as fallon can be seen in a black and white mugler dress called the studded cutout stretch caddy with snakeskin heels which mirrors the original black and white dress that the first fallon wore this is a very distinctive and contemporary take on the old black and white dress making it more eye-catching and daring in nature helen's style again is as bold as her personality what are you considered rather exotic hence they are a symbol of wealth and status this is a big theme in fallon's wardrobe this symbolism comes from how kings and other people in positions of high power tended to see her mix more traditional and girlish sweet pieces with more womanly and powerful ones like in season 1 episode 16 where she is wearing a gucci embroidered lace dress with fendi leather thigh high boots the fabrics here contrast as lace is heavily symbolic of purity innocence and new beginnings and leather is associated with power sexuality and protection this is a tangible depiction of own personal twist to it as a suit is a uniform of success and almost every culture by wearing a suit you're saying that you are succeeding in a visual manner fallon often opts for the more traditional masculine pantsuit but she does wear the feminine equivalent of the set often as well in season 1 episode 14 fallon is wearing a gucci contrast wool blend tweed jacket with a matching wall skirt with web striping blues are heavily associated with wisdom confidence and intelligence which is one of the reasons why we often see suits in shades of blue red is symbolic of intensity and passion which can be linked to fallon's dedication to work almost every part of fallon's life is linked to her work even her social life the girl's night to the girl boss oh i'll drink to that she doesn't tend to do much without setting a work-oriented goal which is also apparent in her wardrobe her shorter dresses always have a very robust and unique structured silhouette often these silhouettes are an essence of 80s fashion bringing in different elements like shoulder pads structured silhouettes still signify how structured and high-strung she is internally fallon can easily adapt her look so she can look the part of someone who parties but her behaviors are still very calculated oriented and image driven just as her wardrobe is so when fallon relaxes she does it in style and has very chic loungewear that consists of silk robes slips and accessories to match fallon's look is very important to her as her image is her brand we can see her often putting a lot of thought
