[Music] good evening and welcome to the 40 days for life video webcast results i am sean carney the president of 40 days for life thank you for having us in your home tonight it's going to be an exciting night we're going to share a lot of good news we have a big announcement at the end of this video webcast that will devastate the abortion industry and help close more abortion facilities so we're very excited about sharing that with you uh we're going to cover a lot including the largest 40 days for life campaign ever the results of that 588 cities that is up from the previous record campaign which was 513 cities just this last spring so god has been very good uh to all of your local efforts into 40 days for life this year where we had our best year ever thank god because despite the pandemic of the the coronavirus despite all the civil unrest despite the ongoing process here in the united states with the elections and everything surrounding that 40 days for life continues to thrive and people continue to want to save the lives of unborn children who are killed where they live and to offer loving alternatives to those women who feel they have no no other option than to have an abortion so it has been a great year and we are going to cover a lot so bear with us tonight pray that the technology holds up be sure to get into the chat as well when possible i'll be in the chat steve carlin our campaign director uh who you'll hear from will also be in the chat you can offer praise you can share a beautiful story to encourage all those watching tonight share a story from your local 40 days for life campaign and and so be sure to to take part in that option on this webcast and be involved in the chat we're going to cover a lot and we're going to travel while we do it because you will hear from steve karlin our campaign director in in madison wisconsin we will go over to london where robert cahoon will give an international campaign report we will also hear from lourdes varela who had a baby just before this fall campaign little fatima and she had the wonderful assistance this campaign with her new baby of pamela delgado they will give a great report from latin america and everybody will share also how the coronavirus has impacted their campaign and how much was overcome uh particularly later you'll hear from latin america how we added cuba first ever 40 days for life campaign in cuba and venezuela had very successful campaigns considering all that's going on there you're guaranteed to be uh inspired so we will cover it all but like all things with 40 days for life we will start this night with a word of prayer which our world desperately needs so please join me heavenly father we thank you for the gift of life the gift of our lives we pray for mercy in our world for the sin of abortion and for all the sins of the whole world we ask for your guidance we ask for your truth to share the gospel of life with everyone we meet not only in word and indeed help us be your witness for the unborn your hope for all those women who are leaving an abortion facility and your mercy for all those who work in the abortion industry and feel they have no way out we ask for the end of abortion in all of our countries no matter where we are we pray for america during this time of turmoil we pray for healing we pray for truth and we pray that no matter what happens in the pro-life movement that it is a movement that points to you and to your love for every single human person we ask this through christ our lord amen now a few housekeeping items uh here tonight uh number one it was our plan uh to for our team to all be together at our headquarters the now closed planned parenthood abortion facility uh in college station texas we just added the beautiful memorial to the unborn and we had these great plans to be together and to do this webcast from there and have the memorial the unborn behind us with the beautiful angels is just a reminder of of why we do what we do so those were our grand plans and then i tested positive for covet 19. so my family and i my eight kids we are all uh in quarantine and uh we i i recently tested positive after uh stealing one of my uh one of my kids had their halloween basket out so like a responsible parent i uh distracted them and stole one of their snickers bars and popped it in my mouth and said oh you gave me a dud snickers i can't taste it and when i said that out loud i knew that i was a goner so anyways i knew that i probably had coveted so i went in i got tested and uh if you cannot taste the snickers bar you probably have coveted 19. so uh we ran hard the last seven months and i had been traveling a lot and so i i knew i was putting myself at it you know at higher risk than people who who didn't have to travel and so i did i got i got the coronavirus so we are at home uh recovering and um and you know my family is in quarantine so unfortunately we were not uh able to to do the video webcast but fortunately like most people um i have been blessed i don't have all of my symptoms are just the fatigue and the loss of taste and loss of smell it has not been the serious cases we see so many people impacted by this virus but it did mess up our webcast plans and i want to thank our team for adjusting you know last minute to just be able to to do this here for you uh tonight it was an awesome 40 days for life campaign it was absolutely uh phenomenal and uh before we go to steve karlin to just give you these results which is the theme of this webcast one of the most beautiful things when you know we talk about you know of course we have a lot of first time 40 days for life campaigns we've seen a lot of growth but there was one story that i got to witness this fall that started was years in the making and that was colonel ron maxson in napa california napa is known obviously for its wine and tourism and all that but uh it's a very pro-abortion place and it's a crazy place and that's not a profound statement it's in northern california but um we've had campaigns there for over 10 years and they were brought by a retired army colonel ron maxson and years ago ron said we are going to put a pregnancy resource center next to that planned parenthood and and i said if you ever do that i'll i will come back and we'll we'll celebrate or we'll announce it or i'll do whatever you want me to do and and they just recently were able to do that the wonderful napa team ron howard tony ryan all of those guys are wonderful heroes and have been for a long time and they recently were able to get the property next door to that planned parenthood they remodeled it it is a beautiful pregnancy resource center now and i went up there for their for their big announcement to announce that they had gotten that property and that they were opening and are already now open uh praise god and so that was that was awesome but it was it was one of these full circle stories where during my trip out there i went out to the vigil to see the new uh location and i met uh ava and i said well what brings you out here and and she said well i used to work in there i used to work in that planned parenthood and i had a conversion and came out and i had heard ava's story but i didn't make the connection when she said i'm ava and so it was such a joy to finally get to meet her and it just speaks you know no matter what's going on in our country no matter what's going on in our world that woman used to work in that planned parenthood and then she was out with her beautiful children praying in front of it and celebrating the fact that the local team had had put a pregnancy resource center next door and that's just a great reminder as we start this webcast this is really about hearts and minds it doesn't matter who's in the white house what ultimately matters is whether you're in in your house whether you're in your street and whether you're in your church praying for an end to abortion and so it really is about hearts minds and souls and i thought that that was a beautiful story and we have a lot like that we also have a lot of drama we saw the lunatics from antifa come out up the road from there in napa in walnut creek we're going to talk about that there was unprecedented persecution this campaign unlike anything we've seen before it has in all fairness gotten worse each campaign the last couple of years and we have taken so many precautions and we have a great legal team and we've hired security we spent a lot of money on security as we promised we would and we did to protect our volunteers for those who who needed security but the persecution can't outweigh and never outweighs the beautiful response uh that that we have seen and you know one of the beautiful things that that i saw during this campaign that we did send out in one of the emails was in a tampa florida where our wonderful uh leader sabrina was was you know giving her talk in front of the uh abortion facility there and she just stopped and she began to tear up and we saw the stereocycle truck pull in and she stopped everything she was doing and said we just need to stop and pray and you know there are about a hundred people out there and they just all stopped in silence and parade as the stereocycle truck came in and those trucks represent the brass tax reality of abortion that every abortion must kill a baby and if you kill a baby it's medical waste and they have to take it away in a canister which is picked up by a truck and our response to that barbaric reality has to be to pray and also has to be to increase our resolve so there were a lot of highlights uh but we want to get to the the big picture uh results and please again on the chat be sure to share some of your beautiful stories or inspiring stories or persecution or challenges uh that you had to overcome at your local 40 days for life campaign share that on the chat but right now i want to go to steve carlin who is the campaign director for 40 days for life steve well thank you so much sean what a joy it is to have the opportunity on this results webcast to share the results of the recently completed fall 40 days for life campaign and i'm going to be honest we didn't know what to expect when this campaign began with the ongoing pandemic the civil unrest all with a backdrop of the most bitter and angry presidential election that we've ever seen we weren't sure if we'd lose cities compared with previous years but thanks be to god you came through and god came through because our previous record of 507 cities this past spring was shattered a 16 increase as we saw 588 cities in 36 different countries unite to pray for an end to abortion and it's not just the number of cities that joined in we saw record participation from individuals we had already had a million volunteers participate in the 40 days for life campaign but it started with the kickoff events as we saw massive kickoff event after massive kickoff event and then those kickoff events that participation translated into record attendance to the vigils all things considered this might very well be the largest mobilization of pro-lifers that the world has ever seen that we just completed this september 23rd through november 1st but more important when it comes to results then how many participants have joined this campaign and more important is the fruits that god has given us as a result we know of approximately 700 lives saved from abortion as an answer to your prayers that's tremendous we even still have some reports continuing to trickle in at least seven different sets of twins think about that whatever crisis it is that leads a woman to contemplate abortion you would think that finding out she has twins double the midnight feedings double the diapers you would think that would double her reasons to have an abortion but it wasn't the case we got a beautiful story out of bridgeport connecticut where there was a woman who was on the operating table about to have an abortion the abortion provider was beginning that abortion and he's realized that she had twins she was carrying twins and thanks be to god he said something i don't know if he charges more for twins or just caught by surprise i don't know why the doctor revealed it maybe the holy spirit was at work but he just mentioned that the woman had twins and when she learned she was carrying not one baby but two the first thing her mind thought of was the 40 days for life participants praying for her in front of that planned parenthood facility she hopped off that table she chose life and then later she came back to say thank you to the vigil participants for saving her babies and she said i know that my babies aren't the only ones who are being saved through your presence here thanks be to god we had two sets of twins saved from abortion in new york city at the manhattan flagship planned parenthood facility formerly named after margaret sanger until planned parenthood finally admitted that its foundress was a eugenics-minded racist of course planned parenthood continues to carry on the eugenics-minded racist legacy of margaret sanger by by preying upon minorities on the marginalized and on the poor or other disadvantaged uh but two babies that planned parenthood did not get actually a total of 12 babies saved from abortion including those two sets of twins in manhattan this campaign also two sets of twins saved in lisbon portugal we had a beautiful story about a couple who went in to see their chiropractor and they were abortion minded that's not of course why they were at the chiropractor but they saw their chiropractor wearing a 40 days for life pray to end abortion button they never said anything but even though they had felt like they were too old and and didn't have the finances to provide for a child they chose life simply because that chiropractor was wearing a button thanks be to god so a lot of lives saved we give the lord glory for all of them and we also learned of two different abortion workers who experienced conversions left their jobs and begun to walk with christ during this 40 days for life campaign and i think that's something else because think about the division that we have in our world right now we have political division racial division social division economic division everywhere we look we see people at each other's throats and here we find women and men who don't just support abortion on an ideological level they earn their entire livelihoods off of it when they experience conversion and become pro-life even going so far as to leave their jobs i think it shows that there is nobody beyond the reach of our prayers nobody that is beyond the power of god's grace and god's mercy we also learned of the 107th abortion facility to close its doors and go out of business during or following a 40 days for life campaign it was a notorious abortion facility in el paso texas this place had tons of violations preyed upon women in the most grotesque of ways just consistently ranked as among the most despicable deplorable abortion facilities dirty filthy medical emergencies a lot of problems with it out of business we got the great news from mark cavalier our long-time leader mark and his team have now helped close three of the five abortion facilities in their region of the country they are looking to close the final two and to make the southwest abortion free that el paso area and straddling the border of new mexico so great news there abortion facilities closing workers leaving tons of lives being saved but it came not without difficulties because this campaign featured more than its share of persecution and we knew that it would and we spent the year preparing for it rolling out an emergency operations plan developing it to equip all of our leaders we saw it work in many different communities as leaders and volunteers who were perhaps threatened or or felt unsafe they were kept safe because they followed this protocol that we put together over the course of the summer there were a few cases that were more notable than others near the end of the campaign we had some volunteers they weren't really hurt badly or anything like that but someone was poking a bicycle at them bicycle tires at their legs and trying to keep them off the sidewalk by force we saw uh in pittsburgh we roll out professional security you might remember pittsburgh is where back in the spring during this covet era people were coughing and sneezing on 40 days for life vigil participants and uh we got security out there no more incidents you might also remember bellingham washington where no shortage of problems this past spring campaign people would drive by and yell hail satan they threw an unidentified glass vial that broke and led to a visit from the hazmat team all sorts of vile behavior from pro-abortion demonstrators the presence of a professional security guard that we hired to to guard those vigil participants as they exercise their first amendment rights peacefully uh really really calmed that situation down in fact there were volunteers not volunteers but there were uh abortion supporters who previously had been screaming at vigil participants who who took the time to read their signs and see that they weren't out there to judge they were out there to offer help and alternatives to abortion to women and some of those persecutors actually thanked the vigil participants this time around uh for their witness and for the the service that they offered to the community similar thing happened in yuba city california where one of our great leaders jc a living legend jc was out and a group of protesters came out and they started reading the satanic bible i didn't even know there was a satanic bible but they started reading from it mocking the lord trying to disrupt the vigil and jc kept doing her thing and some of them i think were moved by her goodness maybe they won't be moved by the truth of what abortion does to women and babies but you can't look at jc out on the sidewalk and see anything other than our lord at work their hearts were touched not all of them some of them continue to bother jc but some of them apologize and even promise that they would begin attending church only our god can make that happen the most significant issue we had walnut creek california just outside of san francisco the east bay area and we had antifa style agitators out there threatening our volunteers screaming in their faces getting an inch away from them daring them to call the police the police didn't help we sent out security guards to protect those volunteers and before long thanks be to god the police did come out and protect the first amendment rights of those peaceful prayer warriors so a lot of persecution but also a lot of a lot of powerful response the security helps it kept people safe we've been able to uh in one of the most difficult years imaginable no covet outbreaks nobody really harmed just a lot of good peaceful prayer and a lot of life saved so we give the lord glory for all of that and we can't wait to see what god has in store because it's already time to hit the ground running we're already looking forward to 2021 and uh only god knows how many babies will be saved so back to you sean thank you steve and hearing those reports is is just awesome especially uh the twins i know that email got a lot of attention because there's just something uh about twins so as beautiful beautiful stories as we've seen 40 days for life grow it's gone from you know one city to now over uh 960 cities around the world and a lot of that is due to the wonderful work of robert cahoon who first brought 40 days for life to the uk back in the fall of 2010 and he has since become the international campaign director uh so thank you robert robert how are you hi this is robert king director of international campaigns what a campaign we've had this autumn fall 2020 highlight for me margaret a in a first time campaign in liverpool praying in a hailstorm came across a woman he said you did it you did it i was praying for a sign and you were my sign and she said sweetheart go home and love your baby beautiful saved and a abortion center that's 5 000 abortions a year we've had five new campaigns in the uk from edinburgh preston york liverpool and brighton 13 campaigns in total were playing outside 10 of where they were 10 of the total abortion centers in the uk so phenomenal work sheridan lynch leader in brighton he thought about giving up it's a liberal city hard to recruit people but god intervened and we got a lot of last time leaders at the last moment and he had a potential save a phenomenal story doing great guns in a busy abortion center in the south coast of england as well well kate barry murphy is our leader in cork she helped a post-abortive woman in the street gave her a medal she was crying she was homeless had an abortion a few years ago received some healing we've had four safe stories in waterford and cork and also limerick in dublin had solidarity campaigns too we've had 666 abortions in liverpool in ireland last year and they've just had abortion legalized for two years now but we're seeing great new campaigns in ireland and wonderful work they're doing there and i hope 40 days for life keeps on growing in ireland too martina bednar cover in bratislava in slovakia great campaign restrictions there the professional tv came along they did some filming they were on national tv um despite the challenges led a great campaign wonderful to have you back martina appreciate you so much in novusand in sabia nicoletta marinick had a kickoff event in a franciscan monastery for the first time her leaders thought what can we do for the unborn what can we do to help and i had a great meeting after the kickoff event to pray under son for the very first time many of you young leaders there what they can do personally to help the unborn in serbia well done to you guys petra in croatia we're now praying outside every single abortion center hospital does abortions in croatia 36 different cities and vigils there a safe story from zagreb another potential save sorry they have had billboards um in four billboards in split one in siberic one in dubrovnik um wonderful working in croatia processions going on five full-time people with creation for life we love and appreciate our wonderful creation cities so much keep up the amazing work in riga latvia yannis yeah who is the librarian they've had processions there they've been witnessing to people in the streets everyday testimonies they've had stories about post abortive volunteers that they have and they've screened unplanned in riga and latvia just off where russia is to stephan huban our leader in girla in romania for the first time we had doctors and nurses come and join her vigil on day 13 and beautiful there last year they had 31 births and 23 abortions in the hospital this year they had 55 births and 17 abortions and they're praying for a pro-life hospital there so only 40 000 in girla and they're doing a great job of the campaign we appreciate you stephanie so much thank you for doing what you do well also um in africa tedeo is a leader in uganda and he's been reaching out to five different schools reaching out to 50 different women here vulnerable girls many of them have had sugar daddies during the lockdown and got themselves unfortunately pregnant he's been reaching out helping people one person at a time tobias is a new leader in kenya in nairobi and he's been going to the slums in kenya and nairobi reaching out to people who went to a family where their teenage girl got pregnant was abortion minded helped them choose life and we appreciate you tobias so much thank you for doing what you're doing and maureen aduba is the leader in yours nigeria and helped save the baby a lot of young people in her campaign despite the challenges this time and a girl said i'm not married i've got pregnant i'm in a crisis pregnancy she reached out and helped save that baby this campaign that adding to your list of saves maureen thank you for doing what you're doing ines and zambia reached out to an 18 year old girl um who was three months pregnant and um really great work in in zambia ines thank you for doing what you're doing manchester and adelaide our two campaigns have buffer zones long time leaders john maricel and alan tyson there thank you for doing what you're doing keep going um we've had great campaigns beautiful stories of saves from all around the world in lisbon paula pintamell had 10 saves and six potential saves twins were saved on one day and twins sadly were aborted on the same day but um at the dos arcos abortion center thank you paula for what you're doing in madrid we heard stories of coffins going into the abortion center beautiful post-abortion testimonies from madrid so thank you and god bless you thank you robert for that uh quick world tour we're going to have a latin american tour a little later but one of the reasons we see so many people participate in 40 days for life we've had over a million volunteers participate and 25 of them say that this is the first thing they've ever done in the pro-life movement and that's a beautiful statistic but it it always surprises me every time because it's hard it's hard uh on basic levels we usually don't have access to a bathroom it's it's hot or cold to go outside you will face persecution but it's that fortitude of the leaders knowing and the participants knowing they can save the life of a baby where we live and no one has harped on this or preached it from the rooftops more than former planned parenthood managers because they know the impact that the vigils have on their local businesses and one of the beautiful statistics that abby johnson always shares and they put it in her movie unplanned was that the no-show rate for an abortion appointment goes as high as 75 when we are out there praying and that is just a statistic that should get us up in the morning and and get us out there and that i'm so grateful for the former workers for their for their courage and uh right now we're gonna hear from one of them a former planned parenthood manager sue thayer sue is the only uh former abortion facility worker who has led a 40 days for life so she is both a former planned parenthood manager and a campaign leader and she is a wonderful part of the 40 days for life team sue take it away thank you sean hi everybody i had this great 40 days for life vigil this fall and um i've been with 40 days for life now for two years so that means that i've had four full vigils one of my favorite parts about my job at 40 days for life is being able to go around and and visit so many leaders and volunteers and this past fall vigil i got to go to nine different states i didn't realize it had been that many until i actually sat down and counted them up but i started out in uh ohio uh the very first actually i went before the vigil even started for some kickoff rallies there but flew into cincinnati and did this great kind of a zigzag pattern across the state of ohio and and uh ended up in pittsburgh and had a couple of interesting things happen there we one of them was we have a new leader there uh in one of the towns in in ohio and she called me up ahead of time to go sue there's only going to be four of us there it's going to be you and me and my son who is my co-leader and my husband if he can get off work and so she was worried that here i was coming all this way and there wasn't going to be a big crowd she had 32 people so she was very uh moved by the fact that people came out and and it was such a blessing to see but all across ohio we had great crowds you know headed out of the the lockdown and all the stuff that we saw happening over the the spring and and summer even we weren't really sure how many people would turn out but great crowds one of my favorite uh things that happened in ohio was uh in toledo and we were gathering the pro-life folks were there and um it's a the abortion facility across is across the street from where we were and it's a flat roof and so the pro-abortion folks are up on this roof and they have music playing and it's the you know the nasty vulgar music and i'm looking at their sound system thinking i sure hope our sound system is bigger and it was so we could hear what was going on on our side of the street but they had big banners and signs and of course they're nasty and they have a lot of bad language in them and we were kind of standing there and suddenly i look over and there's a gal holding a a big sign and it says the real real fake news is sue thayer and shabby johnson and i kind of did a double take and and started laughing and a couple of the folks i was standing with turned around to look as well and we did go across the street and i asked the lady holding the the sign if i could stand by the the uh the sign that she was holding and maybe get a picture and she didn't think that was a good idea but i i did manage to get a picture of it and um so that was kind of funny we had a good laugh over it and i enjoyed uh sending a a picture of that sign to shabby shabby abby and she laughed about it as well and you know when we do the things that we do and we take a stand for life you have to get kind of that thick skin and not let stuff stuff like that bother you but i was also in north and south dakota each of those states have just one abortion facility left sioux falls south dakota and fargo north dakota fargo is a is a real uh volatile place kind of like a war zone it felt like there's a lot of uh escorts and they're angry and we had a lot of pro-lifers show up just down the road from there at the state capitol in bismarck they don't have an abortion facility there praise god but they have a vigil there and i i thought gosh it's so peaceful in bismarck because they pray in front of the capitol and nothing going on there but down the road in uh fargo there's a lot of bad stuff going on there so blessings to those folks that that do that i was also in utah at salt lake city in ogden great leaders wonderful things going on there i got to zip over to reno nevada while i was over in the neighborhood i visited three vigils here in iowa in my stomping grounds we had three brand new vigils spring up sioux city planned parenthood reopened after having closed in 2017 and we prayed for a vigil there and boom got a great vigil with a couple of wonderful leaders there ames iowa which is the very first place that ever did uh webcam abortions new vigil there so i got to go visit them and then we have a vigil in manchester iowa where there's no abortion facility there either but a lot of great folks that wanted to come out and pray and then i ended up the 40 days for life in alabama in mobile and pensacola and it was fun to be in both of those places of course it's chilly up here in iowa now and it was very warm down there but pensacola it was their 25th campaign so god just blesses the ministry with so many wonderful leaders and volunteers and just thanks to all of you for all that you do all year long back to you sean thank you sue and a little earlier i mentioned you know you've heard it a lot this was the record campaign 588 cities the largest growth or the the fastest growth i should say for 40 days for life recently has been in latin america and just this fall we added the country of cuba and they did their first ever 40 days for life campaign outside of a hospital we also had another campaign in venezuela and so the persecution that these volunteers and local leaders had to overcome should inspire us in the united states and everywhere where we often take our our freedom for granted and so uh lourdes varela had fatima her beautiful little girl uh the 40 days for life baby boom continues this year we've somebody on our team thank god we practice what we preach is having a baby like once a month or once every two months and so our team is always welcoming and excited to welcome a new baby as part of the 40 days for life family so lourdes uh and her husband hugo had a baby girl fatima and so the colombian 40 days for life leader pamela delgado helped lourdes this fall with the new baby lead the campaigns in latin america and so tonight you will hear from lourdes and pamela and you won't be disappointed lourdes take it away thank you sean and here in latin america we have great expectations about what is going on in the pro-life movement in the us and let me tell you that during the first week of giving here in mexico the congress were discussing the legalization of abortion in the whole country this was really possible because all of them are pro-choice we were scared and we were praying but without reason the debate just stopped we believed that the prayers made the difference but there was no human reason and suddenly nothing happened and the debate just stopped and even more in guatemala planned parenthood just got access to that country under the name profan like profamilia but what they really want is contraception and abortion in that country volunteers were in front of the congress praying every day you know in guatemala there is no abortion center so they are in front of the congress and they were praying and at the end of the campaign the president just communicate that well he's a doctor and he lives in life since conception so he won't allow planned parenthood work in guatemala this was great news for us in brazil and the catholic casper which is a lie because it's catholics pro-choice and they confuse people well they will not be any more allowed to use the name catholics so we really really think that all of this were miracles during the campaign and we believe that prayers are making the difference and we have 40 days for life in almost every country in latin america now for first time we had cuba honduras and we have venezuela also this is the second campaign that they have and they told us that this was very difficult for them because they didn't have gas they didn't have internet they have transportation to arrive to the video site nevertheless the volunteers walk walk during half an hour during an hour to arrive from their homes to the visual sites to pray for the end of abortion so we really believe that we are making the difference at and in the in london america we think that soon we will have the whole continent with 40 days for life imagine the whole continent praying the same time the same date for the end of abortion and well we have the numbers of the baby safe from abortion with pamela hello everyone we have just in the last 40 days for life vigil fall 2020 and it was the biggest one in the whole story of the movement of 40 days for life because you know we're in a difficult situation pandemic worldwide coronavirus but despite that we got 588 leaders all around the world leading a 40 days for life campaign in front a hospital in front and abortion center or in a public place from those 202 visits were leading for hispanic people we knew that it was 564 babies saved from abortion from those 69 were babies from hispanic countries we are very happy because for the first time cuba joined us joined the 40 days for life movement and they got a visually from the hospital thanks god then we got 91 vigils in mexico in public places in front abortion centers in front hospital and they report us 10 babies saved from abortion in colombia we got 43 vigils in front abortion centers also hospitals and they report as 50 babies saved from abortion in guatemala they got for the first time two vigils and one baby saved from abortion in honduras for the first time one vigil and one baby saved from abortion costa rica three vigils el salvador three vigils also in latin america we knew venezuela with they had four vigils in public places and we are very happy because you know they are living a difficult political situation but no matter that they got four vigils ecuador eight vigils peru eight vigils and one baby saved from abortion bolivia's six vigils chile six vigils argentine argentina 13 vigils paraguay for the first time five vigils in public places in front hospitals and one baby safe from abortion also we got spain spain is growing is growing in a very fast way they got five babies saved from abortion from those two babes where the first week of the vigil and they were there were the babies were saved in madrid they also had a vigil in valencia and in caddis we are very happy because 40 days for life is touching hearts all around the world no matter of it no matter political situation all around the world we are together praying to end abortion we hope you join us in the next video 20 2021 february thank you lourdes and pamela for those uh beautiful reports and for your your wonderful leadership in latin america it is our latin american conference where we train our leaders got cancelled uh this year would be coming up in a couple of weeks uh but uh the the pandemic in latin america is preventing us from having that but we look forward to doing that in 2021 and training even more leaders in in latin america uh what is around the corner is applications for 40 days for life opening on december 1st there really is no break for 40 days for life throughout the year but especially now where we have this short gap of ending a campaign and going right into applications and earlier we mentioned we have a big announcement and uh yeah and and we're going to share it right now because the uh former workers who say that the the no-show rate goes as high as 75 percent um you know in front of a planned parenthood that is devastating to the abortion industry and for years our leaders have been requesting a way for them to go year-round and and for some campaigns to be able uh to to take that extra step and go out and be have a peaceful presence uh throughout the entire year which devastates the abortion industry that is how uh the planned parenthood and college station closed over a number of years that is how other leaders who have been able to do this on a smaller scale have been able to close abortion facilities and for years we have been working on a program to take a leader from leading a 40 days for life campaign and going to a year-round presence and we are done we have tested that in 2020 and we are excited to announce 40 days for life 365. 40 days for life 365 is an elite program it's not for all of our leaders we encourage many campaigns to do one campaign a year but for those who do two 40 days for life campaigns every year in the fall and in the spring who have consistent coverage and who are devastating their abortion industry they can now apply to not only do two 40 days for life campaigns every single year but also to be part of the 40 days for life 365 program we tested this thoroughly in 2020 in many different markets including orange california marietta georgia uh columbia south carolina aurora illinois there were so many different place places where we tested this in different weather with different uh pro-life or pro-abortion views at the at the loca in the local market and it was an astounding uh success and so this program will simply uh add to what is already happening uh in the pro-life movement but we are going to see the baby save numbers skyrocket we're going to see abortion industries who are who usually sit there and have a it's human nature they have a sire relief on day 40 the crazy religious people are leaving and that's no longer the case in many locations there will be a year-round presence over time so we're just launching this on december 1st many of our local leaders do not know that this is coming we shared a little bit of it at the 40 days for life summer symposium that we hosted last summer uh but now it's ready and it's done and we have poured a lot of money into the online technology to create year-round vigils we have put a lot of money into uh locating and identifying leaders that this would apply to it's not for everybody it is an elite program it's very hard leading a 40 days for life campaign and leading a year-round presence i have done it steve karlin has done it robert has done it it is very very difficult but it saves a lot of babies and it devastates the abortion industry and so right now i want to bring in steve carlin to share with you some of the some more details about 40 days for life 365 but also you will hear from one of the leaders who who tested this program in 2020. steve well thank you so much sean this is an exciting night because this is the night where we unveiled the largest and most significant new initiative since 40 days for life began in 2007 and i am talking about the 40 days for life 365 initiative what is it it is the launching of a 40 days for life year-round vigil with a goal ultimately of covering every single hour the abortion facility in your community is open with peaceful prayer witness and sidewalk counseling this is uh this is an elite advanced level program so if you are looking to perhaps uh host a vigil one day a month in between 40 days for life campaigns or a half day a week that's great that's a tremendous gift to your community into the abortion vulnerable moms and babies in your community but 40 days for life 365 is something else 40 days for life 365 leaders are going to have an opportunity to uh to start out with as little as one day a week of coverage at the vigil in between 40 days for life campaigns but we want to work closely with you and train you and equip you and coach you and mentor you with a ultimate the ultimate goal of having every business hour that the abortion facility where you live is open covered in peaceful prayer that is that is a hard goal and that's why we've spent years working on rolling this out and here's how we're going to do it we've got new tools available we've developed new online tools a year-round online visual scheduling tool uh year-round 40 days for life local web pages that local campaign leadership teams will have at their disposal and we've put together a brand new training because you know no matter how hard it is anybody can can hang in there and do something for 40 days at a time no matter how difficult it is you can just see it through and you endure and you get through launching a sustained consistent year-round presence with a goal of covering all of the vigil hours that is a different animal and that requires different strategies for recruiting volunteers and retaining volunteers and bringing folks into the fold and transitioning into 40 days for life campaigns and out of 40 days for life campaigns so we have worked with some really wonderful and experienced leaders to make sure that we're providing the best training possible heather gardner the long time 40 base for life leader in austin texas helped us put the training together we drew on the experience of the 40 base for life campaign team in bryan college station texas where a year-round stand and prey initiative helped make the bryan college station planned parenthood previously run by abby johnson one of the 107 abortion facilities to go out of business following a 40 days for life campaign we drew on the experience that i had leading a 40 days for life campaign in madison wisconsin where we have now had a year-round vigil uh taking place every business day has been covered since uh since 2011. we're going on a decade now of full coverage so that's a that's an exciting development and we really wanted to get it right so we took the time we did the research we did our homework we found out what works and what doesn't work and now we are ready to bring it to the masses and those 40 days for life leaders who who feel equipped to pursue this this full-time coverage they're going to have the opportunity to apply to do so when they apply to lead the spring 40 days for life campaign on december 1st and this i think it's going to be a game changer i think that we will see abortion facilities close as a result of this initiative i know that we will see abortion workers leave their jobs sue thayer has talked about the impact that it has on abortion staffers when the vigil continues after day 40. she said they call it 40 days of torture or 40 days of hell and when they see somebody out on their knees praying in front of their workplace on day 41 day 42 day 43 day 56 day 108 it wears on their consciences and that's going to make a big difference we also know that we will see live saved why because we already have part of our preparation and the reason that we spent so long working on rolling out 40 days for life 365 is because we wanted to test it and so five amazing 40 base for life leaders from across the united states spent the summer testing the training testing the online tools testing the model and they saved numerous lives and joining us tonight to talk about this new game changing program 40 days for life 365 is one of those pilot program leaders suzanne guy our campaign leader from marietta georgia just outside of atlanta suzanne you were one of five leaders across the country who joined us for the 40 days for life 365 pilot program how are you doing today doing great and thank you so much for having me and thank you so much for the opportunity for our marietta team to be a part of that pilot program absolutely and i want to get straight to uh to something exciting here you started the 40 days for life 365 program this summer how long did it take before you learned of the first baby god saved through that vigil you know steve the exciting news is it wasn't very long i mean it literally was i think a little over two weeks before we found out about our first known saved life and woman given hope that's fantastic and uh how to go to joining the pilot program i know 40 days for life is such an intensive effort that sometimes you hit day 40 and you know you're ready to go into hibernation perhaps but you decided to get back out there as as you've been out there throughout the year in times past but you really hit the ground running you went you were recruiting you were scheduling how did it go kind of transitioning out of the the covid campaign this spring into having people out there every day that planned parenthood is open you know i have to say first of all we have a phenomenal team and i know every leader feels that way as they should but we really have a wonderful team and the transition was not only incredibly smooth and almost seamless but truly our team had such an excitement and energy about being out there year round that really people were incredibly motivated and even more excited it seemed like coming off of the you know spring campaign which as we know with coved had to be um finished early so i think there was an um an added uh synergy behind it for people to really get involved and get back out in front of the abortion clinic praying and and sidewalk counseling so people really saw it for the incredibly needed opportunity that it was and and privileged that it was to to be there as much as we can be and especially purposing to be there when the clinic was open and i know i got to sort of experience that vicariously a little bit because uh some of the tools that 40 days for life 365 leaders get include training modules but also a year-round online visual scheduling tool and i know there were a few weeks there where you were texting me every day and you know i was seeing the percentages on your calendar and it was you know eighty percent coverage and then ninety percent and then over a hundred percent of the hours that you were targeting got covered uh what do you think explains that enthusiasm for people to get out there and do this every day honestly i think it has a lot to do with the fact that um everybody on our team is a person of faith so people really have a heart for the lord and people really recognize that 40 days for life is truly that instrument in the redeemer's hands people really see it as that vehicle of the good samaritan that that god talks about in the bible about not just passing on by but having compassion seeing somebody left for half dead and and seeing that 40 days for life is really this incredible opportunity to to be present to pray and to love well and honestly you and sean say this quite often and it really is true um you both have said taking that time of of worship and prayer that we all give to the lord and giving some of that time right in front of the abortion clinic and making it a normal part of our worship prayer life and i love how you and sean say that because when you present it that way to people it's natural they think i'm already talking to god i already have special devotional times and quiet times why not take that out in front of the abortion clinic and then to be doing it year round it just gives people an added excitement and really recognizing the privilege and priority that it that it is to be involved with 40 days year round and have that presence that literally is changing hearts and minds because we're out there all the time yeah i know one of the things that can be a great temptation for 40 days for life participants and maybe there are people who are watching this webcast tonight and asking themselves the same question like i'm hearing all of these results i'm i read sean's emails and i see the results and why doesn't any of the good stuff happen when i'm out praying at the vigil site it's such a common temptation and i know that it's one that it is your team is no stranger to i know you had mentioned there were some folks on your team who were like ash why haven't we why haven't we seen more results from our prayers but that first baby that you saved when you launched the 365 program that was not your last how many babies were saved over the summer before that fall campaign started four that we know of four that's four lives that if um we did not have that 40 days for life presence truly we wonder what would those women have chosen what would have happened and steve i'm glad you brought that up because um as you know full well we have you know been doing this for several years and we've had times where we only knew about one save and entire campaign there were times where to the best of our knowledge not that we knew about we know that god is always saving lives but there were times when we had no known saves and i would really say to people to remember and steve you've encouraged us in the seasons where we felt a little discouraged like how come we're not you know god isn't allowing us to know for certain saves and you've been really used to encourage us in incredible ways going back to scripture about what is faith you know faith really being we do what we are called to do we show up and we pray and we have to trust god with the results and how wonderful when he gives us those glimpses and those in those moments to see wow lives are being given hope babies are being saved but i so appreciated i remember specifically talking to you one time steve when i was feeling discouraged that steve we don't have any known saves to report and you so encouraged me and brought me back right back to the word of god that it really is a walk of faith and and that was such an incredible encouragement because we all have to remember sometimes we don't see things this side of eternity and sometimes we do but if we are faithful and being involved with 40 days for life fall spring and year round in that faithfulness we have to trust that god is doing what god does and that lives are being saved even when we don't see it lives are being saved so to keep on keeping on well suzanne thank you so much for helping us test this 365 program this summer it's gotten us into tip top shape and we are so excited as we head into the fall the the december application period applications to lead the spring campaign open on december 1st and we will also be taking applications to lead the 40 days for life 365 program so those first four babies saved in marietta georgia by no means the last you can't wait to see what the lord has in store in your community and in communities all around the world god bless you suzanne and back to you sean i love suzanne guy she is just awesome and i think she spoke last year in houston at our our leader symposium and most of the leaders knew who she was rock star leader from marietta georgia and everybody's like i love that lady and i agree if you can't get pumped up after hearing from suzanne uh something's wrong with you actually and so she is just one of those people and thank god uh for her her life and so uh she was one of many local leaders who tested the 40 days for life 365 and we're just excited about releasing this on december 1st this is a dire time in the united states of america and around the world not just through the overwhelming 56 million uh abortions uh around the world every single year um but the situation in the west the situation in america uh the the abortion industry going from this safe rare and legal approach to shout your abortion uh not to mention the craziness that we see in the united states and i know we shared a lot of good news and there is persecution and there's a lot of challenges that 40 days for life has we got a lot of we got a lot to prepare for before we launch our spring campaign in february um but all that aside it's tough times it's tough times and we are seeing the repercussions of throwing god out of our families out of our schools sometimes out of our churches and ignoring his word ignoring his will and living as if god does not exist and you can't do that for generation after generation and so we are seeing the repercussions of that and we need his mercy we need his joy i've had so many people tell me particularly during this this crazy year of 2020 uh that 40 days for life was what was a light you know in their community that it was just good news and and we need good news uh but but much deeper than it just being good news it is needed because it's a call for all of us you me everybody in the abortion industry everybody who participates in 40 days for life everybody who drives by it's a call to repentance ultimately it's a call to repentance and to grow closer to our lord and all the anxiety and and disarray we see in our culture is just a finger pointing to him in our unbelievable not just personal but societal need for jesus christ and so that's why you know we planned on launching 40 days for life 365 this year i mean it's been years in the making we put together the training last year and finalized some things and then tested it this year but thank god it's coming out after this crazy year i mean we if we weren't ready we just have to force it out because we have got to go to the next level uh in the pro-life movement no matter who's in the white house no matter who's in the senate or the congress or or or anything like that we need those things obviously we want pro-life presidents we want pro-life politicians but this is we we know that politicians have come and gone and the abortion industry continues to grow and the grassroots pro-life movement is more important now than ever and it's working we are winning at that level we see the record number of pregnancy resource centers they now outnumber abortion providers five to one we see 40 days for life continuing to to grow into to take current campaigns and make them better and more efficient to drive down abortion business and to save more lives we see older 40 days campaigns getting better and we see newer ones when they come on that there's a there's not a long learning curve they immediately start having an impact and so we're very blessed as a ministry we also see that over the last decade planned parenthood has closed 36 percent of their locations in the united states 36 percent most of that was during the obama years some of it was during the trump years the point is no matter who's in the white house we have seen 40 days for life grow and we have seen the local pro-life movement get get larger and younger and that's our focus and that is our mission and always has been and so this is an exciting time but it is a time when we are gearing up on december the 1st we will open up applications for the spring campaign no rest for the weary we will do we will dive in and and open up applications and also as we just mentioned be launching 40 days for life 365. so tonight we are asking for donations as we always do after each campaign we don't bombard you with emails during the campaign asking for funds never have never will but we do ask after the campaign and we have a matching challenge there were a few a handful of donors who who by the way participate in 40 days for life they're not in some you know island looking saying hey look at what these people do they're on the streets with us and they believe in in in 40 days for life and they know that they know where we are right now in our culture and so they have put up this matching challenge it's on the screen every dollar that you give to 40 days for life from today to next tuesday the tuesday before thanksgiving will be matched dollar for dollar and so please go online uh to have your your donation doubled all your gifts are tax deductible and they will go straight to the mission and during 2020 they're very much uh needed and so as we launch this new effort as we have to gear up and and uh you know pay for more uh security for our local leaders i offered security to our local leaders professional security because some of them need it and we we gave it to them and there was no limit and so the more that asked the more money we'll spend because this is money well spent this is protecting uh the the uh salt of the earth volunteers that make 40 days for life necessary and so we will spend tens of thousands of dollars every campaign and six figures every campaign if we have to to protect our leaders who are willing to go out when when they are able uh and have a vigil in the midst of so much civil unrest and so uh so we we will continue to uh to fund that we'll continue to to grow 40 days for life and just know that every dollar you give between now and next tuesday but the tuesday before thanksgiving will be matched dollar for dollar and so obviously we're on the internet there's no pressure to give us money you can just click the thing off right now but um if you feel led if you feel called please do please give and also i want you to consider giving a a monthly gift we have had a number of people due to the pandemic and the economic problems that came with it they they weren't able to give what they normally could and we had some major donors who couldn't give what they normally could because of the stock market but we had a lot of people join monthly donors as monthly donors whether it's ten dollars a month that's great that's a great place to start but if you just start somewhere as a monthly donor it goes a long way it also helps us plan the next year in knowing what's coming in and not run around in fundraise we don't spend a lot of time fundraising it's one of my favorite things about 40 days for life and leading 40 days for life we don't have to spend a lot of time fundraising which is why we can focus on our mission and launch things like 40 days for life 365 and so the monthly donors really help make that possible and and tonight if you do give over the next week i will send you a a copy of the book if you give 40 or more
