Fabric Mart Fabrics -- The BEST Fabric and Prices I've Found Anywhere

hey everybody joy here it is still sunday and it is still july 18. i think it's or is this monday this is sunday this is sunday we went to church this morning it's hard keeping up with the day y'all i think it's july 18 2021. jerry jerry just did the devotional this morning right here in front of the fireplace so this is where the camera is so i have had two packages down here in my jewelry room they've been here for over a week believe it or not i ordered them july 4th when there was a really really really good sale at fabric mark fabrics my friend bib actually went there in person and she way outdid me she got some gorgeous florals um if you haven't seen it watch this video from yesterday big mom sells gorgeous fabric and she talks about all the things she's going to do with it and it's so so pretty so i've got two plastic bags here's one i don't know which one came first the chicken or the egg here's the other one so the usual plastic wrap the usual hole by the post office there's a hole here and there's a hole here so i've got that on my video in case something's damaged in here i do wish fabric mart would package their things better but if they were to package things better they might have to charge us more fruits so i don't know maybe that's why they do it this way so let's open it and see what i ordered now i know i ordered some linen i wanted some linen because linda lee was talking about linden on her channel her linen's like 400 a foot maybe not quite that much but on sale it was like 15 a yard and i was just like no way no way i would be terrified to cut into something i paid that much more even as much as i saw even as much as i know i can not pay that much for fabric because for one thing i don't wear things forever i give things to the salvation army or goodwill because i make so many things i can't keep all them and somebody said well they won't keep them without a tag well then they're going to trash when they get there i suppose so let's see what i got in this bundle uh there's no paper they never give me a paper i have started i think i told you already i have started printing off the invoice the day that i order it if you wait till the next day they won't have pictures of it this stuff sells like five minutes after it hits the floor there so right after you order it if you will print the invoice right then you'll have a picture of each fabric that you ordered and then when you get it and you take the tags off they always have tags on them but you peel them off to wash them i pre-wash everything and so the tags get all mixed up and then i don't know what tag went to what piece so when you have the invoice excuse me with the little picture on it that really does help i've got elvis presley up here playing beautiful beautiful gospel music but i of course can't play it for you or i'll go to youtube jail okay this is a beautiful this is my favorite color these days this bright turquoise it's just luscious i'll hold these all up close to the camera after i show them to you i'll do once through and then i'll hold them up close to the camera okay rich electric cyan blue 100 linen this is gorgeous gorgeous very very very pretty now you know the bad thing about linen is it wrinkles and the wrinkles never go away and even if you iron it and you make them go away they just come back but i've been convinced by linda lee and by viv that that's supposed to be some sign of elegance look at me i have wrinkles in my linen so i thought okay fine i'll order some and it's supposed to be super comfortable all right here's another one let's see what this is this is a real soft one it's another linen but this is a lightweight linen and i can tell the difference between that one and this one that would be fabulous pants right there this is a real soft one and be a wonderful top it's called chambray linen 100 light weight yarn chambray linen and i bought all they had left of this oh it is it's wonderful you could sleep in this you could i think people do make linen nightgowns and i might oh imagine how wrinkly i'll be in the morning jerry can look at me and say oh honey you look so elegant oh the elegance is just overflowing on your body okay this one is polyester lycra floral print which i have tons and tons of those you know i really love them it's an fty knit now i don't know what the f stands for but it's just like a it wet an it wet it's just like it wet it's like a ity knit in my opinion so and i'll hold it up close in a little bit but right now i'm just gonna show it to you until i find the label on it didn't i already find the label on it yeah the skew is bnc8542w black punch pink imperial red multi pretty pretty pretty i don't have any silk i have never sewn with silk i think i have a silk cotton something that was silk cotton that i bought a few months ago okay so that one goes there now what's this is this a linen no this is a knit now somebody just said to me where do you find cotton knits that are prints i don't know if any of you know will you please tell the rest of the world because i can't find them anywhere i would love to buy a cotton print knit but i did find this solid cotton knit and it's rare for fabric mark to have it as well but this is a 100 cotton interlock knit and i ordered three yards of it because it is so rare very nice lounge gowns knit pants knit tops knit jacket knit topper knit anything now here's the blue one and i think it's the exact same only they must have been out of this one yeah i've only got 1.25 yards of this because they were almost out of it but it's the same thing only it's blue it's a blue 100 cotton knit so this will be a top three quarter sleeve top embroidered scan and cut something okay and here is another linen these are really nice and these were so inexpensive oh this whole thing was probably under a hundred dollars it's just unbelievable the price is there and it's fabric mark fabrics there's a fabric mark i think but this is fabric mark fabrics and fabrics has a s on the end of it dot com give them your email they'll tell you every day what the sales are and you just cannot beat them my friends royal azure blue one 100 linen mid weight so this is the same as the turquoise weight and it is a really pretty blue cc those are going to be pants my friend philly and me we're getting ready to make my friend philly and i my sister call and correct me philly and i i am getting ready not me and getting ready my friend philly and i are getting ready to make pants and we're going to facetime each other or zoom each other or something and i'm also getting ready to sure fit phyllis campbell said my uh subscriber phillips hello that won was it second prize i think she was second prize winner on um the lounge gown pajama party and she says she's getting ready to draw out her sure-fit designs and she wants to make a top and i said hey i need some new tops i really do because i have worn mine warm iron and i do like mine longer i look at myself in my older videos when the tops were shorter and i thought you know what those people were right i should have made those tops a little longer the reason i like them short like that is it makes your legs look longer so that was kind of my my thinking then so oh this has a flaw uh oh this has a flaw running all the way through it i'm gonna have to return it what a shame it's a pull like the thread is missing and there's a white stripe from here all the way down where the thread is missing i might be able to cut around it but i think i'll i'll is it right in the middle oh it's about two-thirds of the way shoe i might not be able to make pants what a shame i wonder if you can see that that stripe the white stripe we'll see in a minute i'll show it to you now here's another one same fabric only it's pink so i got this in three colors dark blue turquoise and pink this is the same thing watermelon pink 100 linen mid weight another very pretty color hopefully no flaws in this one i don't see any flaws in this one yeah i'll contact fabric martin see if they want me to return that and cut me another piece and then here's another lightweight one so this whole package except for that one print this whole package is solids this is another chambray linen and hey those of you that listen to my allergy saga yesterday i found free and clear hairspray it's 20 to 22 for eight ounces which i think is ridiculous but so is staying up night and taking 15 pills ridiculous so and by the way i have not had a single pill not a single solitary pill since 2 a.m two nights ago so don't worry about me taking pills all the time because i don't i only take them when i have those allergy reactions at night and i can't get get to sleep until i stop the flow if you know what i mean so yes praise the lord no hairspray now this morning what i did was i sprayed a pic and then i just put the pick in my hair with the spray on it so i didn't spray the air and so then i figured out something i could do i thought hey my mother always wore shower caps and there are several shower caps that aren't open yet next to the bedroom that she stayed in and i saw them the other day when i was cleaning and i thought i'm going to put on one of her shower caps tonight and that way the hairspray that's inside from the pic can't get on my pillowcase so we'll try that where there's no wheelers away and no coffee i had the most wonderful drink this morning um i have heard by fabulous 50 shelly on fabulous 50s and by that bald doctor that um manicure doctor multitude doctor mysterious doctor i don't remember what he calls himself that'll come to me in a minute some kind of doctor and one of you said he's not even a doctor well he says he's a doctor he talked about how good lemon juice is for you and so did fabulous 50s lemon juice he said lemon juice at night she said lemon juice in the morning so i got up this morning and i boiled my water in my hot water boiling pot that i have and i poured it in my coffee cup then i got my big lemon squeezer thingy and i cut a lemon in half and i squeezed a whole half of a lemon into it and then that same doctor guy said honey was supposed to be really really good for you so i put some honey in it and then he also talked about ginger and i had some some ginger in a jar and i'm going to get some real ginger next time i go to the grocery store but i sprinkled some of that in it and i stirred it all up and i went outside on my patio and sat in my swing and i drank that and it was every bit as good and enjoyable as a cup of coffee it really was i loved it the only thing is there's no caffeine in it right but i think i probably have enough bounce per ounce that maybe i don't even need caffeine i did eat a piece of dark chocolate later on in the morning all right did i already take the thing off of this i think i did this is the soft kind the soft kind chambray lovely oh lovely and soft all right so let's hold up close i'll hold up close one of the softs let me see if i can show you the white stripe going through this let me there it is now i don't know what you can see but there is a white stripe running right down through that piece of fabric let me see if i can point at it it's right here all the way up and down so and it's in a bad place you know well i can just cut around it it would be right in the middle so this is the heavy linen and this is the light one the light one is just lovely lovely lovely lovely lovely lovely the drape you can see this one's heavier i'd love to order some more of this lightweight stuff i'll have to look and see if they have any more and then i'll show you the one print let's do it up close i love my new lights i don't have to turn off all the background lights because the new lights are so good you like that one lovely that one's got a stripe going through it too i think it's just a fold though yes and so this is one of those swishy soft and squishy f-t-y-i-t-y love them all right you don't need to see all those solids i'll show you the cotton this is the blue and this is the red 100 cotton knit 100 percent lovely drape not sheer let me see how much it stretches doesn't stretch much with the selvage doesn't stretch at all i think they said this is has mechanical stretch well evidently what mechanical stretch means is we don't stretch at all so this is kind of a woven almost really it stretches just a little bit that way so i would use these for woven patterns actually these two cottons 100 cotton knit all right so that was package number one did you notice my quilt i very first made a whole million years ago my very first quilt yeah this one i didn't even have a long arm then so i just sewed it on my regular sewing machine and i just sewed diagonal lines through it so this one's probably my oldest and most used and i've just got it here to protect the chair while i open these dirty bags oh here's one i have no idea no i could not tell you if somebody held a gun to my head and said all right tell us what's in that bag i couldn't do it now i could have told you that one because i remembered i ordered linen but this one i have no clue so i'll find out right along with you this one doesn't seem to have any holes in it so that's good let me cut it here on the corner you have to be really careful with it cut your fabric i'll let you know what fabric mark says about that blue one with the stripe going all the way through it i know what they're going to say we don't have that anymore maybe they'll discount it some more ooh there's a pretty white oh i think this is all one fabric i think this is just one fabric in here you guys i really do i ordered something in white it's probably a cotton knit because it's so hard i'm always looking for a cotton knit because i want to use my scanning cup machine and so now i have to have a new shirt that says school of joy you know that because we're going to have a school of joy i get lots of requests show us how you do this and show us how you do that because we like the way you show us here it is a ton of white ah all right let me see what you are no not cotton polyester sweatshirt fleece knit oh oh that is beautiful oh that is beautiful i will make myself a sweater with this oh that is very very nice very nice let me tell you what it says i got four yards of it so evidently i really like that 100 polyester sweatshirt fleece knit 60 inches wide let's see how that stretches oh it stretches a bunch a bunch a bunch that'll be a great sweater jacket i love it it doesn't stretch at all lengthwise but it has a lot of crosswise which is good because i'm the fattest crosswise i hate to turn sideways in the camera i'm always good at it is that me okay so this one has that one oh it has several in it it does oh what's this one i don't want it to get dirty on this bag oh it's all right it's all the foot all right let's see what this little treasure is it says black bone polyester lycra floral damask print dty which is double knit i think that's double knit and it's 61 inches wide wow and so this is just a black and white oh that's lovely lovely which way's up is that up won't that be pretty made up that is gorgeous that is really pretty i'll hold it up close to the camera in a minute let's see what the next one is the next one looks an awful lot like it except it's a border the next one is navy white cool blue polyester lycra double border ornate floral medallion hope i don't ever have to remember that main thing is it's polyester lycra and it's a double border oh that is pretty i haven't seen everything that viv bought when she was there yet but so far i don't think i have any duplicates she got some gorgeous large floral prints so there's one border and there's the other border so that'll be lots of fun that's beautiful it's beautiful you know these are much prettier than pictures pictures do not do fabric justice they really don't you cannot feel it in a picture you cannot tell the drink now this is horrible why on earth did i order this this is going to somebody and it's not going to be me this is gonna go to terra bear this is orange i can't wear this color orange i can wear a real bright orange it's almost a red orange but i i can't wear this orange spice that's a good name for it orange spice autumn rust brown nylon lycra floral print swimwear oh i could make leggings i bet i bought it for leggings it looks like you're a legging and you're a very tight fit huh what do you think what do you think gorgeous for pants and i could just wear a cream colored top with them yes that's pretty i'll show it to you up close oh my gosh there's more there's more more more we have so much trash here i told you i said i don't know where the cleanest people are the dirtiest we have more trash vivid shamrock rayon lycra jersey knit oh yeah look at how many papers i have but you said you weren't going to order fabric well i didn't until july 4th i think i did pretty darn good oh that one stretches forever that could definitely be leggings is that supposed to be leggings very very very stretchy very stretchy and very green this is the length oh yes this stretch is all over the place this will be green leggings and a green nightgown and a green skirt and a green blouse just remember it is so in expensive it cost me more in gasoline to drive to joanne and back than it cost me to buy this fabric from fabric mark fabrics that's the truth cornflour blue tomato wheatgrass dark olive green viscose lycra floral pea it's a floral pea you guys a floral pea hmm a floral pea that stretches forever wonderful beautiful i like that i like that that is very nice very nice that could be leggings it's definitely stretchy enough for leggings very thin though very thin but not very sheer i think that could be leggings with a solid top i think i could like that i ordered these july 4th this is july 18th i will be shocked if any of this stuff is still there but if you're interested just go to fabricmartfabrics.com and it will show you at the top these little things will slide back and forth and these little windows and it will say what's on sale it's always something 65 off 70 off unbelievable all right so this is black mango white birch brown polyester lycra single border stylized paisley see how slinky it is very very slinky it's hard to show it to people because it's so slinky all right there we are the black and the blue say hold it up close well the problem is i have to hold me up close i don't like to hold me up close but see how flowy and drapey awesome awesome ha ha can you tell i can't tell very good because i'm tiny in the camera let me get them up around my neck again the black the blue lovely just lovely they're so soft i cannot tell you how soft they are they're just luscious okay so i showed you those i think that's all the prints that's all the prints i'll show you this funky orange one that's going to be leggings this is the legging one see oh those lights just wash it out terrible see i don't look good orange oh no no i can't wear orange this will be on my legs try to picture it on my legs it's not transparent i can see the light through it but that's all it's very soft fleecy on one side and smooth on the other side so you can use either side for the right side and it'll be wonderful for my scanning cut so this is the next day that camera and that tripod and that light have not moved since yesterday we suddenly got very very busy i don't know what happened but um if you want to hear about it you're going to have to go to my other channel because i just talked about it over there on my channel called shine jerry said how do you find that channel anyway i said well you can't youtube isn't excited about my channel called shine so you have to put shine joy bernhardt and then that other channel will come up so anyway it says something about a fish in the title y'all will see it there because i don't have time to tell the story again it's about my allergies that i don't have anymore and a fish and of course the devotion for today so i've still got fabric all over the floor i've washed three pieces so far so i'm a little behind on that project but i'm feeling so good i feel like a new person and like i said the stories on the other channel so anyway my friends remember to give me a thumbs up and subscribe and hit the bell because that makes youtube like us more and that way when people search for my channels they can find me i think this one's no problem the joy bernhardt one i wish i would have named it joyful expressions that's what i wanted to name it but somebody had already taken my name out there in the world so i couldn't name it joyful expressions i was sad so it's hot hot hot hot outside and i've got a whole bunch of stuff um to do to get ready uh to move into our rv i told you i said i feel like we're moving out of the house so i've got to finish getting the things in the rv because we're leaving town tomorrow for four or five days or six we never know till we get there you know if somebody likes us and they invite us over we might stay another day i never know i don't have a sewing machine yet but i do have a lot of yarn and i can crochet so i would like to make a new sure-fit designs pattern because philly wants to start sewing i've got to text her or email her or something and find out if she wants to do pants i think she wants to do pants so i think i'm going to do new pants and i will be by hobby lobby yay where we're going and so i can go there i love to make pants out of kona cotton kona and when you go to hobby lobby and you'll see their wall of all of their quilting cottons some of them are kona and some of them aren't so if you want to get the kind that i get that i make my pants out of yes it has to be ironed but once you iron it you can wear them i wear mine half a dozen times before i wash them you know unless you're like yesterday you go fishing and i came back soaking wet dirty mess jerry and i both stripped in front of the washing machine and threw our clothes inside and went and took a shower so other than that kind of living i can wear my pants several times before i have to wash them and iron them again so kona kona cotton now uh hobby lobby does not carry all the colors i ordered a color chart for all the kona colors from missouri star quilt company so if you wanted a color that you couldn't find you could always get one of those charts like i did and then you can order the fabric from missouri star or some other company that sells quilting cottons okay did anybody care about that i have to go this this um video will not get up if i don't get it off this camera right now and start downloading it and editing it and getting it up to youtube so i'll be back as soon as i can figure out how to when i'm in that rv bye for now
