Thank you so much for this video. I grew up going there and was present for all versions of the park. The area near the 4D ride I believe had sharks/fish. This was also near the arena where water shows with boats/jet skis took place. The building with the diving shows did indeed have a gift shop in the kiosk area you referred to. I distinctly remember those colored rocks being sold there and more pearls.

[Music] today we'll be looking at jiaga lake wild water kingdom which dates back to 1970 when the park opened in sea world ohio in 2001 six flags purchased sea world ohio along with the jiaga lake amusement park on the opposite side of the lake creating a mega park known as six flags worlds of adventure six flags sold the park to cedar fair in 2004 and in 2007 they announced amusement park side would close forever from that point on the park would operate exclusively as a water park known as wild water kingdom until it was abandoned 2016 and here's what remains so this used to be part of a giant um amusement park and water park complex and the other side of the lake was the theme park side but everything's gone on that side there's nothing left to see all the structures are gone so today we'll just be taking a look on this side of the park the water park side oh this would have been a lazy river i saw this on the drone footage yesterday yeah it was a lazy river that went around and then there's like a little i don't know if it was bathrooms or maybe a little snack shack you can run a floaty over there we'll backtrack this way see what we missed over here if you want a better look [Applause] there's a smashed car interesting i think the car i saw yesterday was orange i guess people must be just dumping stolen autos in here or something it's another old maybe gift shop restaurant who knows it's got a cool paint scheme very tropical feel these are bathrooms for sure it's cool old boat crop i know it's part of a water slide probably from the kids area climb up there in the back get on the slide and ride down [Applause] uh someone that didn't really want their car there's a cooler sometimes that means there's people living in here it's kind of like a natural tent too so wouldn't surprise me curious what this building was it's kind of painted on the side it's all boarded up though and i don't break into buildings so there's open access i'll walk through but i don't break into buildings some more old attractions i don't remember what these would have been oh this kind of says something on it i think it says sydney's beach store i don't know cindy snack stop i don't know the mind sees what it wants to see no idea what this would have been either probably a little shop or something more bathrooms this i think was a theater of some sort i remember as a kid it was like a weird submarine like 4d ride you know you'd go and sit in one of those like you know cars and it would shake back and forth move around has something to do with some kind of submarine adventure i believe it was in that building could be wrong though when i was there it was like 2003 right around the time six legs bought the sea world side and combined it into three mega parks and joined them all and then a short time later sold the park to cedar point owners cedar fair who closed the theme park side and then left the water park site open for a little bit all the roller coasters on the other side were dismantled shipped around most of the water park stuff here like the slides and stuff they were dismantled painted and removed also probably an old utility shed so yeah i remember this so there was a ferry that would go back and forth and there was also a boardwalk as well so you could walk it if you wanted to that's the aquarium back there which i want to try to take a look and see if we can get in over there i don't know that looks too sketchy for my liking it's too far we'll go around [Applause] unfortunately going around we'll have to get close to the main entrance this is another little kiddie pool area tell by the small little slides kitties would slide down there into the little pool see the water was two feet deep at most so all right this is pretty sweet this is a wave pool up here oh yeah there's that smashed car i saw in the drone footage yesterday must have crashed through the gate to get here and they just dumped it i'm surprised the police haven't had it towed out or anything some more old bathrooms probably locker rooms so people could change for the pool don't know what's up i don't know if there's anything interesting that's all kind of back a house and that might be where i saw that car sitting yesterday with someone in it you can see there's a little house sitting at the top of the uh hill up there overlooking the wave pool so it's the wave pool would not want to go in that water a here's a view smack dab in the middle if you're overlooking the wave pool i don't know if you notice but it's easier to tell with the blue how that blue spray paint what they did when they dismantled all the water slides and stuff they put them here spray painted them a different color and shipped them so they could be sold or transferred to their other water parks i want to see if we can get in this world of sea aquarium this is cool i remember when i was a kid you know they had all the dolphin shows whale shows but i always thought this was really cool i don't know if this bridge is intact that's a problem it maybe is if we fought through we're going straight into the water again it's the other side of the boat launch there where the shuttle would go back and forth oh yeah so here's entrance so yeah these used to be old [Applause] aquarium exhibits they would have fish sea horses you know all kinds of aquatic sea life that you see in any typical aquarium you can see unfortunately there's not a lot left in this room sounds like there's birds living yeah it's kind of cool you can see some of the rock structures yeah unfortunately not a whole lot left here it's kind of sad there is one cool area and i remember this specifically as a kid inside here there was a running waterfall it would go down into here and this was filled with like i don't know a couple feet of water but there were stingrays in here and you could pat go down i guess that might not be the right word but you could touch the stingrays it's really cool i'm glad this is at least still left had a nice natural skylight too in this building i don't know what about it it's just really cool looking to me it's built right out on the lake pretty cool for an aquarium had one of the best views it's got some cool architecture all right see what else we can find around here just take the respirator off now you don't have to hear heavy breathing anymore oh yeah so this is the footbridge well the dock to the footbridge that used to exist there used to be a dock that ran all the way from here to the other side of the park so you can see that's where would have started you can almost see on the other end where it would have connected to so there was just a long wooden bridge that connected the two sides of the park so you could have taken the ferry and remember too you could actually walk around all the way on the outside perimeter and then also walk and i'll try to look up and see if i could find a map at the time so you can see what i'm talking about hopefully not sure how easy that stuff is to find online but i'm sure there's got to be an existing part map somewhere i think this is going to be the last stop of our tour because this is all that's left standing structurally and it's these little japanese kind of i don't know what it was like a village they had a bunch of little stores dining in a little diving show of course it being a theme park there's a million bathrooms all over the place some kind of structure they broke up and destroyed so how are you getting over there let's hope the bridge is still intact awesome and it is another great place with a great view of the lake this building's cool it's got japanese architecture and design i honestly don't remember too much about what was over here but i feel like there were either a bunch of like kiosks or stands that sold like merchandise and stuff or maybe it was food i don't know oh yeah we definitely have to get outside and check out there that's the diving pond i was telling you about we'll go around and find a way in there it's just a storage room that is the view jag lake all right there doesn't seem to be a way to easy way to get in here so i'm going to just show you from here oh look there's a rectangle over there i've been hearing all kinds of little critters running around but yeah back when this was uh six legs i think it was wasn't really doing this for this exact time maybe it was a sea world time but this effort was open during the six flags time there was a woman or a man they would dive to the bottom open up a clam and come up with a pearl and give it to one of the people you know standing around overlooking but yeah you can see the floor is kind of torn up and stuff over there so it may not even be worth getting over there there's not much more to see but i do want to show you the outside real quick just so you can see what the building looked like all right so i think that's gonna be it for our video tour former sea world ohio six flags chiago lake if you liked the video be sure to like it subscribe stay tuned for upcoming videos hope you enjoyed [Music] you
