[Music] [Music] all right so we're coming up on The Gulch of where we're headed today and there are two adct in the sculch and a small third Prospect tunnel also okay so the uh first thing we have to do before we head over to this guy here is we're going to go up above this to the upper tunnel first and then we're going to work our way down all right you ready we ready okay so we scrambled up to the top of this uh cliff in The Gulch and then over here is that lower added we were looking at down below and you see the waterfall here and we're going to be headed right over here to the upper all right so we'll see uh let me get up to the addit here all right so now we are uh really close to the addit here trying to talk a little louder as the water is obviously pretty loud but we'll talk more about the uh mine uh once we get inside and get a little closer to our area that we can uh here in e [Music] this is a uh animony mine and it dates to uh 1902 190 5 and you can see this uh stoped area here with the stalling in it see these Timbers back there and we'll go around to the other side of this pillar right here and get a better look and then you can see the ground fall here where there was a bit of a collapse and as we kind of go forward here you can see the tunnel splits in two that goes off to the left and continues forward so we're going to kind of go down this wetter tunnel first this one actually uh goes down and connects to the lower um but it is a interesting uh situation to do that as we'll show you uh once we go down there all right so this is the stoked out area and as you can see the Timbers um that were wedged up in here a lot of them have fallen out as over time in 20 odd years the uh ceiling is started to give away you can see the ground fall here this an idea of what the uh stall stoping process looked like you can see the wedge and this one back over here which are these Timbers and a lot of them have fallen down due to ground falling collapse and the principle behind this was uh to place the timber posts at close intervals to maintain an opening between the hanging wall and the foot wall and this room would have had numerous post standing as you can see some of them right there on the ground all right so we're going to continue down the main towel here it's a little w there [Music] [Music] over here we have a little wind out area pretty uh pretty mud in here again some more stall staking see how big these uh Square pit Timbers are for so [Music] so figure out [Music] the maybe saf this way to get up here without shifting anything got to be really careful okay there you can see more of the supports there's a couple of items here on a little bucket and looks like maybe a dynamite packing Rod here all right so we're going to continue forward into this muck and uh take a look and to continue forward into this uh nastiness here this is yeah definitely not enjoyable [Music] here trying to see what mineralization is here trying to find a vain chasings a little tough so the only real vein seene is up here as I move the camera across it's really the only thing that stands out and if we step back here see a little bit of mineralization back here um some calite water up there on the ceiling but not a whole lot that's standing out in terms of uh specifically what they were chasing here [Music] take a look over here and see if you see anything over here not seen a whole lot over here either somebody cite what I call uh stalactites here hanging from the ceiling all right so now headed back uh towards the Stokes and then back towards where that uh tunnel uh Dove off uh down towards the [Music] lower and looking up into the Stope all right so now carefully back across all this ground fall just take one last pan across here just make my way over this carefully all right try to do some rock chainy here and make sure none of these suckers slip on me that's another view pretty good size uh timers here try to show you turns over here let me do this my hand give an idea of the size of them again see this stove up here see the ground is anything but Pleasant in terms of navigating this we did find small amounts of gold um according to the historical records but it wasn't anything significant [Music] looking at the walls and I've been kind of watching as we go just to see what kind of mineralization is happening and if we can catch a glimpse of any of the veins or anything they were really going after [Music] all right so I'm making our way through this awesome muddy water and headed back towards that uh [Music] intersection I'm just kind of looking here at the walls as we go [Music] so you can see um and that's looking back into the stove we came in and looked at as you come up here this debris which you can see at some point in time uh this would wash in from the added when the added was much um bigger and over here uh this goes down uh to the lower okay so we're going to head down this uh left hand side that we uh saw coming in let's step down here and this is what I mentioned is the interesting part getting to the uh low rabbit so one thing um I I to mention at the beginning um as we do always have this with us and we're showing everything 100% good so we're going to make our way down this Bedrock here just kind of looking back up where we are coming down [Music] and this is the interesting part I was telling you about so going to throw my detector um on me and get my bag off and uh see you in a minute all right so this is the crawl that we have to do in order to get from the upper to uh the lower there is a tunnel over there I craw through there and over wanted to see it if you need this you can use it is it a take your word for it I broke or is it worth going it's just a flooded tunnel gotcha okay all right I broke my hiking State you did [Music] yeah all right going try to show you the best I can it's really hard to keep my light out of the way of the camera right so move this piece of maybe wood pull my other light out here should help there we go okay so we got flooded tunnel that way which doesn't go anywhere and you fill tunnel this way and you can see little it is that's where we crawled in all right so we're coming up on the uh tightest squeeze here that we have to get through and he's going into this slab here which is maybe 24 uh inches the widest and 18 in I'm on this side so keep your head low and just go all right okay [Music] okay all right all right all right along the crawl it opens up a bit there's a small tunnel that goes off back here and looks like it faces out at least it's good to be able to stand up for a minute you can see all the mineralization got some sulfur or whatever back here okay so crawled through those the lower parts and um it's opened up a little bit still um you got to kind of squat to I get through and you'll drag your helmet on the roof so it's just kind of a squat and go the best you can give you an idea it's starting to open up a little more over here but this should get us um to that lower tunnel we saw uh coming in that I pointed out on the left hand side coming up The Gulch and that's where this will uh eventually wind up so as we're getting closer you can kind of hear the rumble of the waterfall all right all right this is a little better all this material that you see has washed in from above over the years and filled this tunnel up um as you obviously saw when we crawled through the upper part and voila there's the lower tunnel well this sucks all right now I just went straight and stepped over CU I think I don't know you want to come down here think it's better I can always your fo just be careful the don't roll yeah that's checking as long the log don't roll we're good yeah all right so see how wet we get going out
