Explaining Every Lego Movie (in 7 minutes)

i think everyone knows i'm quite the lego extraordinaire i found myself in my fair share of building lego sets playing the lego video games specifically lego marvel superheroes nothing is better than jumping off the plane and examining each suit character's super for hours with your brothers and watching lego videos look at this guy how do you even build that this is so cool but there's also the biggest part of lego the lego movies for elegant graceful aesthetic one hour of perfect bricks in film form now sure some people could say the format has probably gotten old and that's why we haven't seen any new news about more movies but that's why i'm here to recap them all starting off we got the first ever lego movie a movie everyone assumed was going to be a big bad commercial promoting the expensive bricks but it's it is now an animated classic this movie made me a lego addict i had more than five lego movie posters i built crazy lego spaceships this movie was so successful they signed a deal to make more they did all this just for me to talk about it in my youtube video this movie has the ninja turtles it has president abraham lincoln who does it not have this movie follows a kind of dumb kind of funny construction worker emmett everyone he thought was friends thinks he's dumb and useless and emmett's only friends are plants and his tv but come on emmit is so great and so wholesome and so nice and emmett accidentally shows up at the wrong time and he now has a bounty on his back also known as he is now the special one whatever that means so wildstyle who is jealous befriends emmet and helps him out on his journey to defeat the notorious president business who plans on destroying the world why don't ask but then she finds out emmett likes basic pop music and she gets angry why don't you listen to indie music emmit stranded in the middle of nowhere emmett and wild style meet a group of allies who are also on their way to eliminate president business but they've failed many times they all build their own part of a big ship and they also ignore all of emmett's ideas but his idea the double-decker couch actually ends up saving them does the double decker couch exist i want one this says a lot about society they come up with the genius plan to steal the craggle and save the world in which they also fail they all get stuck in this weird jail it looks kind of cozy though is is that just me and you're gonna have to watch the movie to understand the rest but emmett gives a heartwarming speech to president business basically a metaphor for what this kid wants to say to his dad and that's how the world is saved by one construction man and his kindness this movie is the definition of nostalgic it is so good it is so awesome it keeps that sense of childhood wonder but also isn't a cash grab i mean it might be a cash grab but not in my heart lego batman is honestly one of my favorite animated movies each scene is so well done it's hilarious it doesn't waste any time this movie has the best joker lego joker is superior this movie follows a lonely batman as he denies to accept that he misses having a family and being a part of something and alfred feels bad that batman feels bad so he helps him i mean granted alfred does kind of just like turn off the electricity but if it gets the job done while at a party bruce wayne accidentally adopts a child because he's distracted by a beautiful woman i guess it's that easy if a kid asks hey can you adopt me if you say yes this kid is now free to run around in your mansion batman is like get him out of here and then he realizes he can use this kid for his personal gain what a great guy and then robin steals like a weapon from superman in like 10 seconds batman sees that superman is holding a party without him and he gets really sad it's actually quite depressing while all this is happening joker and batman start having relationship issues joker really wants batman to hate him and acknowledge that he is nothing without him but batman refuses to think that so to prove this he sends joker to the phantom zone which is just basically a jail for pop culture villains joker flies down to earth with his with his new friends and starts tearing up the city batman has none of this and sets out with his new family to save the world he also allows all the villains that joke are betrayed to come along which is like genius and then he betrays his family and then he feels bad for betraying his family and then his family forgives him boom batman has a family and joker and batman get married the ninjago movie is probably the most ambitious lego movie with his crazy fight scenes where apparently garmadon survives a missile being launched at him because it's a kids movie i guess but how is that possible this movie follows lord garmadon's son lloyd garmadon the blonde one and he struggles with daddy issues with having an evil emperor as a father lord garmadon is kind of evil kind of not at all evil like dr doofenshmirtz where they have the opportunity to cause harm and want to but they suck at it the ninja crew pulling up looking like a boy band one direction to stop ninjago from being conquered by this guy after garmadon does succeed in conquering ninjago just like really easily i don't know why it was that easy the ninjas go on adventure looking for the ultimate ultimate weapon news flash the ultimate weapon is them they are the weapon they win all this way lloyd garmadon breaks his arm just to find out that the ultimate ultimate weapon is themselves it's it's teamwork as soon as you think garmanon is becoming a better father and a good guy he says scythe this movie isn't horrible and it has some amazing visuals but they throw so much at you all at once and you're just trying to digest it like they could have just focused on one main plot but it feels like there's 10 different plots that you got to keep up with there was also a lego movie too apparently a lot of people had no clue this movie existed for some reason there was zero marketing for this one the only thing i remembered was them putting up the entire first movie as a youtube ad to promote the second one uh it's why this movie is kind of forgettable we start off with eminent wild style in a wasteland and through these tough days emmett still managed to stay positive he still he still orders coffee wild style in the game gets kidnapped by the duplo invaders which i i don't know what those are they like some lego like lego competitor i don't i don't know what they are and then this movie turns into a musical there's an entire song about how catchy the song is make it stop i kid you not every kid in that movie theater walked out singing that song it worked it worked batman has a love interest with whatever this is emmett is going through galaxies with the ultimate chad version of himself also known as chris pratt jurassic world version this guy teaches emmett all the cool ways like i don't know what's something cool um drinking red bull uh monster energy g emmet then becomes also a chad and to be honest i forget the rest of this movie they cry for a little while everything is not awesome somebody steps on a lego that's a real scene they should have added like somebody trying to take apart two lego pieces you know how hard that is to do i broke a fingernail trying to do that before and they defeat the duplo invaders and store peace to the land did this movie need to exist no but man did i find myself enjoying it and that was the last lego movie we have ever gotten it has been since 2019 since we've seen a lego movie i'm really glad to say that i've been able to grow up with all these lego movies and they're also really amazing and they've inspired me to you know build legos and make youtube videos they have really good storytelling it's really fun i do hope we see more lego movies in the future maybe lego lego back to the future lego ghostbusters i mean there's an endless type there's an endless world
