florida hospital on halloween on the night of halloween seeing kids dressed as frankenstein's monster is to be expected but the unbelievable coincidence that occurred in florida's winter park memorial hospital in 2017 was completely unexpected when a baby with a surname frankenstein was born on halloween born to parents kyle and jessica frankenstein the little monster was given the name oscar rather than victor like the famous character whose surname he shares while that feels somewhat like a missed opportunity i'm sure oscar's schoolmates will waste no time in pointing out his surname and birthday's unusual connection when he gets older but in case little oscar's coincidental birth date wasn't enough his aunt shares the same birthday as mary shelley author of the original frankenstein novel at this point it almost feels like the family should be collecting monster movie royalties if oscar doesn't grow up to be a nutty professor with a taste for pushing the boundaries of life and death i have to say i'll be a little disappointed amazon removes distasteful coronavirus halloween masks from sale when halloween rolls around some people really like to put the effort in to have the scariest costume on the street considering the fact that a global pandemic struck in 2020 halloween mask makers clocked in onto the idea that something covet themed might bring the scares better than anything else but when a chinese mask company from guangdong china began selling coronavirus monster masks on amazon in september 2020 it wasn't long before people started to complain of course under normal circumstances these masks would have made a pretty great halloween costume but the fact that over 1 million people worldwide have died from the virus made it seem an ever so slightly poor taste and amazon soon removed the masks from sail that said these generic non-specific virus-themed masks are still available though for legal reasons i must state any similarity to real-world viruses is purely coincidental burger king dresses up as mcdonald's for halloween back in 2016 it wasn't just people dressing up for halloween a burger king restaurant in new york city got in on the action too in the city's rego park neighborhood white sheets could be seen flapping in the wind over the burger king sign and building as the branch dressed up as the ghost of mcdonald's with yellow arches spray painted above the eye holes and the word mcdonald's scrawled below the disguise probably didn't fool anyone but it certainly raised a few eyebrows the restaurant even modified their burger boxes to match the storefront complete with a happy halloween message clarifying the joke for any confused customers while this all may seem like a lawsuit waiting to happen mcdonald's actually took the pranks headlines after one of his creations both amazed and slightly creeped out the internet using high-tech facial scanning software alongside a state-of-the-art 3d printer the twitter user created an eerily realistic replication of his own face every little detail was captured in the scan from his beard hair to the dimples on his skin the gifted creator claims his mask comes in very handy during online video meetings where he can catch some shut-eye when things get a little boring without upsetting his colleagues all he needs to do is make sure his face doesn't fall off midway through his boss's breakdowns of their quarterly earnings gravedigger dies after falling into grave he just dug in february 2017 british tabloid newspaper the express shared a tragic tale of one man's darkly fitting demise a portuguese gravedigger in the municipality of frasier had just finished digging a grey for a funeral later that day when he reportedly fainted and fell straight into the freshly dug hole when a passerby eventually spotted the unfortunate fellow at the bottom of the pit he called an ambulance but it was too late the man had been critically injured in the fall and was officially who'd seen the clown the man behind the makeup and balloons ended up giving an interview to a local newspaper he revealed that despite how spooked the locals had been by his peculiar antics he'd never intended to genuinely scare anybody what had started off as a promotional photograph of the clown for a college film project evolved into his regular appearances around town which he viewed as camera when canadian documentary filmmaker rob spence was just a kid he accidentally shot himself in the eye while playing with a pistol he went through life blind in one eye until he was in his 40s when he decided to try something crazy in 2007 rob had his blind eye removed later replacing it with a remarkable prosthetic eye that doubles as a video camera the tiny camera transmits its recordings via a radio frequency transmitter to a handheld monitor allowing for a truly unique approach to filmmaking while rob can't directly see through his prosthetic eye camera he can still keep his real eye fashion designer by the name of arnold putra stirred up outrage when the press caught wind of his controversial approach to clothing the outrage was pretty reasonable considering putra had listed a handbag for sale for five thousand dollars with a strap allegedly made from a real human spine while many were doubtful about this claim the fashion designer asserted in interviews that it was indeed a real spine and anatomical experts voiced reluctant agreement with the claim when consulted putra stated he'd ethically sourced the spine from medical surplus in canada though just how ethically someone can turn human remains into fashion items is something to debate in the comments below considering the rest of the bag was supposedly fashioned out of alligator tongue i'd say this abomination falls into the category of as humans let's never do this again 10 year old pulls gun on woman who joked about stealing his candy there are many ways to receive a fright on halloween but one woman was served a truly unexpected trick with no treat in 2011 after she spotted a group of youngsters she recognized trick-or-treating along the streets of aiken south carolina she jokingly threatened to steal their candy one ten-year-old among the group didn't take too kindly to this joke and in response pulled out a nine millimeter handgun pointing it right at her needless to say the woman was shocked and while the gun was thankfully unloaded the police were called in right away upon investigating the cops were astounded to find that the gun was real and the boy was actually carrying a clip of ammunition with him on top of that another boy in the group the brother of the first was also carrying a gun of his own some further digging soon revealed that the boys had stolen their weapons from their grandfather without his knowledge or permission while the boys got off with a slap on the wrist here's hoping old grandpa gunslinger learned to be a little more careful with where he left
