Exclusive Look Inside $39 Million Mansion, Most Expensive Home in the DC Area

in monumental sports it took them eight years from design through construction completed just last year they've never lived in it they're at a different place in their lives now and so it's a great opportunity for someone 33 000 square foot take me through yeah french provincial design okay but these beautiful modern interiors that you're about to see how many bedrooms how many bathrooms eight bedrooms nine full baths okay seven half baths baths all right and a long list of luxurious amenities and what does that long list of luxurious amenities go for a price tag with goes for 39 million okay wow all right so where where's our first stop we're going to stop in one of my favorite rooms this is the kitchen this is unlike any other kitchen that i've seen i mean the palette is neutral but it's complementary to what you're seeing outside and this kitchen has jose andreas his fingerprints on it friend of the owners he was very gracious he helped them lay it out when they had their preliminary design he said i want to help you lay it out really if it works well we can thank mrs andres that is incredible so here tell me about the layout of the kitchen what's behind all of the custom cabinetry well i think you'll see we have two of almost everything okay so two sinks we've got multiple refrigerators we have dish drawers and of course we have a prep kitchen just adjoining it so you can keep all the mess there and then we can entertain here and it looks seamless and flawless and easy look at this honed marble i you know can't help but notice what is on the exterior as far as what you're walking on as you lead up to the house and even the stone that wraps the home what is the style of this home so it's a french provincial style but the owners wanted something that was more modern on the inside so i think you'll see this beautiful timeless architecture on the outside complemented by these modern interiors and the pallet they selected is really inspired by the setting we're on the potomac river it's we'll see this beautiful granite cliffs on which we're positioned these materials were really inspired by what's outside when you say modern i think this family room living room really speaks to that from the chandelier to this gas fireplace and then your eye goes all the way up and you see the beams that's where you see okay there's the french provincial right here's the modern right it's a beautiful blend of the two that's only if you can take your eyes off the view that is exactly and that is here exactly that is why you're interesting fact about this beautiful staircase when it was originally built it was the reverse of what's here the owner came in decided that it didn't capture the views to their fullest extent so the staircase was removed and rebuilt as you see it it was already in place going the opposite direction take it down take it start over and rebuild it i mean it is i think it's worth it i guess it's worth it thus our eight years in construction so here we start to enter the primary suite and of course you know it's beautifully scaled has its own fireplace but this is what you wake up to and this is what you go to sleep too this is just an incredible unobstructed view of the potomac you're looking across to virginia and then to maryland you know it's a four seasons view so even in the dead of the winter it's beautiful the fall it's stunning with the colors all the colors [Music] this is the most outrageous bathroom i have ever seen this is spectacular spectacular just marble everywhere two different showers this freestanding tub that looks out to the potomac his and her vanities it's just insane look at that view you're gonna want to allow some extra time in the morning because you're not going to want to leave this room wow all right and now we're going to dressing room ah dressing room or closet either one okay so we got coffee bar maybe coffee bar so you can wake up get your espresso get your mojo going here put your face on over here because there's a makeup station that is separate from where the shower is and the tub and then dressing room look at this wow this is a closet how about this this is probably larger than some of you and my first homes right apartments this is a nice sized one bedroom apartment in the city and again everything has a view every room has a view it doesn't matter if it's a hallway a bedroom an office it all has a view [Music] so here we're in the wine room okay and the highlight of this of course is this beautiful bar and behind us we've got the cooled wine storage backed with a beautiful quartz crystal wall wow you can see a little flecks in it too little sparkle added to it i love the white leather wrapped handles on the glass i'm noticing this right here yeah well this is something you don't see every day i've probably never seen this in a house i rarely see it but this is by far the best indoor basketball court i've ever seen tell me about it this is incredible so this was designed and built by the same people who did the capital one arena same floor same hoops that the wizards use so it's a professional basketball court right here in your own house let's see the indoor pool let's do it wow it's a beautiful pebble tech finish and then we've got our own spa hot tub okay a full bath this beautiful led lighting system which changes color depending on what your mood is it's like beautiful wood finish and even this is this like a is this also a limestone it's a porcelain a look at the beautiful wave in this now i want to take you outside i'll show you the outdoor pool okay and the reason this house is called the clips we're going outside [Music] so here we are at the outdoor infinity edge pool and you start to get a glimpse of this exceptional setting you know i've had the privilege over the past 10 years of selling some of the great iconic estates along the river including the childhood home of jackie kennedy former co-founder of aol's home and other really beautiful residences but nothing compares to the view that we have here at the cliffs well i mean this is if you're the interested buyer this is what by conservation lands it's the perfect destination in that we're still only 20 minutes to downtown washington 10 minutes to tyson's corner 20 minutes to dulles international airport and it is currently the most expensive home in the dmv at 39 million dollars
