is there a way to make a row a specific color based on a word being found in one of the columns yes there is check this out in this example I want to highlight any row that has the word Apple in it and you might be inclined to start out by trying these default highlight cell rules that say text contains apple and hit OK but notice it doesn't highlight the entire row it only highlights the cell that contains Apple so we're going to need something a little bit more robust here so I'm going to go to new rule use a formula I'm going to choose this beautiful green that I love so much and then I'm going to use this in my formula bar I'm going to go equals search which is different from bind and that it's not case sensitive and it allows wild cards I'm going to do quote Wild Card Apple Wild Card end quote and I want to find it starting in we're going to lock column K because that's where the data is going to be 3 and then I'm going to close this and I just want it to be greater than zero meaning that it's found okay and now look at that hope that helps thanks for watching
