sweet tea is everywhere in Atlanta especially on a hot day oh this is so oh this brings me back to the front porch and Boulevard Drive with my great onts and we were in rocking chairs this tastes just like that I can literally smell the day ain't that amazing wow hey I'm Kelly Roland and I'll tell you all the reasons why I'm very proud to be from Atlanta we'll try some food I'll give you some tips on what to plan on your trip and we'll take a nice deep Di into Atlanta's banging music [Music] scene so Atlanta GA has a lot of wonderful snacks and foods and I'm about to try some oh this is so hard but I'm going to start with Bloon pepper WS I'm so excited if I wasn't in front of this camera right now I probably just put my teeth into it but I'm going to be conservative cuz we have company oh oh this tastes like the a a little bit of Tang from the lemon now there's a spot while I was filming mopa by Tyler Perry Studios called American wings and it was so good I ordered there every other day next there's the peach copper and there's very few people that can get the crust right like your peaches can be like like brand new peaches you got to wait till they get a little soft on them let me make it to where somebody can try something later I won't be selfish and just dig right in the middle cuz that's that's what you usually do but I won't do that actually I'm going to do that cuz I want the middle part oh this is good crust okay oh that's real good and the peaches are just right there's a place in that Atlanta across the street from the aquarium I know that because my son loves the aquarium and it's called busy be busy be got a bomb peach cobbler peach cobbler brings back so many memories for me in particular with my mom because she would actually make fried Peach pies that were like cobbler perfect amount of sweetness perfect amount of tart the way the crust was was just flaky ohoh that thing was flaky woo Lord I miss you mama it was so good so so so so good now the next thing I'm going to try is pean pie now some people say pecan do you say pecan or pean pean or pan I think it's pecan ooh oh you could tell this going to be good [Music] okay it's a moment of silence but this that is nice now I have no idea in the a where to get pecan pie from I get it from like a family member's house and sometimes they add a little like bourbon to it bourbon pecan pie is really bomb I would literally shove this whole thing in my mouth if y'all weren't right here it's it's so good this is really really good I'll wash this down with some sweet tea now sweet tea is everywhere felt grown with a lemon in my tea when I was a kid this is good now pimo cheese I'm going to try because it's in Atlanta staple but I don't like Pomo cheese it's a very M it like takes a very mature palette but I don't remember tasting it like since I was a kid so let's see if I have a very mature palette right now here we go y'all that's good I have a very mature palette right now that's good I had no idea just to why I was missing out on so Atlanta has a huge music scene and a lot of dances have come out of Atlanta so I'm going to do some of those dances oh my God if my son does this one more time I'm like son it's oh you can let it go [Music] dabbing oh my gosh I remember when I was a kid and me and the girls we were always Banking and we thought we was fishing and rolling it back in back out let's walk it out wait what's a whip oh whip okay [Music] sorry okay you know it I started off with too much caffeine this [Laughter] morning so Atlanta has a lot of popular spots we're going to take a look at some of the places that you can skip going to and some of the plac that you should definitely run to first up the varsity now I remember going to The Varsity when I was a little kid and I remember wanting extra chili on my hot dogs and it was so good um and what was really good with the hot dog was a nice ice cold cocacola Varsity is definitely a spot you should go to if you're vegan don't think about it so the Coca-Cola museum is really cool you see how everything has changed because you see all the different fonts you know that they have had over the years even like the faces and the pictures have changed how they've become more diverse I love watching that fact my dad he showed me a ad that he did with Coca-Cola he's like a young teen boy and I thought it was so cool that my dad is kind of like a part of the Coca-Cola history I'd say that the Coca-Cola museum is a must go pon City Market anywhere there's a lot of food I shall be I think that when it comes to food and like just trying different things I'm always wanting as I say a culinary experience so it's a go oh just this name brings back so many memories for me MARTA the public transportation basically they have trains they have buses I remember the first time riding Marta with my mom and we would go from East Point to North we would go north I remember going north that's where the money was there was this pamphlet in there called Readers Digest and I remember telling my mom to pass me one of those readers Diest brochures I didn't know how to say it at that time but I was trying to read so there was an e for effort I would take Marta any day than sit in Atlanta traffic because Atlanta traffic will hold you tight for at least 2 hours so go oh the Fox Theater this is a great spot man I remember performing at the Fox Theater in Atlanta it was awesome it has so much magic and Essence to it it's one of my favorite places I mean you can you can skip it if you want but if you love to like really get into like historical buildings you're into architecture the Fox Theater is a really good place to go so I guess there all goes oh my gosh they have a ferris wheel word Coca-Cola is like the headquarters is in Atlanta so somewhere in this box is some Coca-Cola and I have to guess which one is the real thing here we go should I go left to right I shall this smells so strange it's like one big juice box now that's Dr Pepper right ding ding ding ding ding ding ding [Music] okay okay can you tell I I really drink a lot of cocacola [Music] H that's coca-c yeah so Waffle House is really and truly in Atlanta staple and there are some things that you definitely order when you go to Waffle House be the hash browns hash browns be popping so we're going to go over all the ways you can order your hash browns smothered if you're like me you love onions and that's just so delicious it just makes them really like flavorful in my opinion covered is when your hash browns are covered in cheese now some might think that that sounds a little gooey but don't knock it till you try it chunked is with that ham in there that swine as my grandmother would say as you could imagine the juices from the swine gives it that thing diced is grilled tomatoes with the hash browns that's a Vibe too pepper is with jalapenos you got a little bite to it Capp is with grilled mushrooms I just remember the NBA Allstar where I had some hash browns with chili that is top country is with gravy and all the way is with everything I like to order my hash browns with chili and jalapenos and if you're really having a good day add the cheese cover that thing up and if you really having a great day add the onions too and get the waffle that waffle is so good thank you so much for watching I
