hi guys right now we are at Starbucks in Netherlands and today in this video we're going to share experience of Disney about studying in Netherlands so zy first of all Welcome to our Channel man thank you so much wow so zy uh the people the viewers who don't know you can you please introduce yourself to them first hi my name is zitney I am from Bangladesh and I have been studying in Netherlands since 20122 in January and I start I am studying in NHL University which is in larden it's in the north side of Netherlands perfect and what course are you studying I'm currently I'm studying in um business administration uh but uh before that I came as a business uh International Business course but I switched after one semester because I did not like that all right and it's a bachelor or Master course it's a bachelor course of four years of four years I have already completed my my 2 years okay two years are completed 2 years are left so uh today in this video we are going to discuss everything about admission part scholarship part and little bit about Visa part after study opportunities so first of all uh zy let's begin with the admission thing yeah so when you were applying for the universities so did you pay any application fees at that time no no and and your course is in English language right English language yes and um how you got the admission in your University well first I finished my uh secondary and higher secondary in my country then with the result I got a quite good result so that I could apply for in international countries and then I set for my is exam uhhuh I got a quite good score on that may I know the score in the Isles and in your academics as well yeah in my academics uh secondary I got five out of five GPA and in my my uh higher secondary I got 4.94 out of five and my is was seven seven bands wonderful wonderful Z so that's how with this uh grades and is certificate you got the admission right yes do they require any other certificate at the time of application no uh that that those are optional if you have it's good if you don't have that's doesn't matter but these are the thing is mandatory you need to have perfect so once you got the admission or at the time of application did you pay any application fees no no no application Fe application Fe that's that's really good and after getting admission from the university did you pay any tution fees before Visa yes I did pay the tution fees of 6 months okay at a time and one year of my accommodation fee to the university but that one year accommodation fee I I got it back when I opened a bank account here okay so that's only for the regulation like I'm not going to leave after should I say they just ask do I have the enough funds in my account to stay there if I don't have any job for one year that's for the so they need the proof of the financial suance right yeah so how much did you pay that amount before Visa the amount I paid before Visa of 6 month of my course uh almost 5,000 as in my for my academic okay and almost €1,000 for my one year of so your tution how much is your tution fee uh it's uh on that time it was 8 8,600 but now it has increased uhhuh almost 9,000 plus and uh so you paid half of the tution fees which was approximately somewhat half 5,000 there are two things I'm sorry I'm interrup no no no it's good I want uh because there is two uh two semester which is summer and winter I came in Winter February session in February session we have to pay only 6 month of the T fee okay if we if I came in uh September then I had to pay the one year of yeah so I chose February so you saved saved some half of your tution Fe almost so this €1,000 for accommodation and 5,000 for tution fees did you pay to the univers or to the university uh and it's reliable to pay like this much amount to the university out here yeah as long as it's the university no third party included then it's 100% safe because University is bound to give you the money you deserve or you have to they will pay you back okay because I'm worried because if suppose due to any reason if students get uh Visa rejected then in that case maybe they will refund the entire amount right but it fluctuates the Euro rates are fluctuate so you won't uh get back what you paid maybe some less but they will pay for sure all right if your Visa gets Reed okay so you paid the tution fees and after that maybe they have released the the admission final admission letter for the Visa purpose and did you apply for any scholarships here uh yes I did but I uh there are more people ahead of me with more with higher is and higher academic results better than me so they got it I didn't so it's a merit based scholarship right it's Merit based yes the more grades you have the more chances you have to get it all right so it means that it's more or less very hard to get scholarships here in Netherlands now uh I will say yes 50/50 depend some depends on your luck and rest 50% on your merits wonderful take now at the time of visa application uh did you face any difficulties how how's the Visa ratio of Netherlands at that time it was 100% but now it's going a bit less because uh a lot of people they they come to study but they don't study mhm and maybe from for financial problem or something they go back so the university and everything is going is getting stric here time to time so now it's quite less but still good very good okay will be approximately 90% now still so the Visa ratio of Netherlands is quite good as compared to other countries like you know there are some countries where which are offering pre-education but the Visa issue is a little bit high in those countries okay perfect I was having conversation with zne so I found out that he has a card of four years right yes so is it like that if you coming here for Bachelor then you will get directly card of four years for Masters 2 years directly yeah they will give you the Visa of 3 months okay on your passport okay after coming here they uh uh you will apply M then they will give you the card they won't give the card before you come here they will only give the 3 months of visa and after coming here you have to apply to the municipality MH uh nearest to your uh loc University and then they will give you the so how long does it take to get the residence card here uh after applying around uh 2 3 weeks two three weeks and depends on the vacations and everything perfect and like how are you know citizens of Netherlands do they treat well to the foreigners yes uhhuh they are very friendly very helpful mhm but there are there will be exceptions but so far what I have faced they are very good people and like uh like it's their official language is Dutch right d so do you find difficulty as a language barrier to communicate with them not at all um some uh in some places there are uh like elderly persons they don't really like to speak uh any language other than their native ones so so it's 80% people they will directly communicate with you in English some of them won't so but if you work in somewhere uh big cities and a lot of tourist coming then it's not a problem you will you can easily go with English but if you can learn uh if you work in such a environment where everyone is speaking in Dutch you will you know the basic very in for 3 4 months you will know the basic true true true so um like um every student thinks of getting a part-time job right so how how much hours can you work while studying here in Netherlands uh we yes we are allowed to work uh 16 hours a week in Netherlands that's the permit we have it's all it's it is also written on our residence in the back of our resident card we are only allowed to work 16 hours a week all right and how are the job opportunities here it's good yeah uh balanced I will say so how much can I expect like uh in an hour per hour pay it depends on it varies on your age uhhuh but uh maximum of international student came here after becoming 18 so after coming here if you are older than 18 then it's 11 12 EUR an hour so in everywhere if you are in contract then everywhere is sa 18 uh 11 something 18 11 11 yeah you have 11 something we can expect per hour and uh like U after completion of your course like four years degree or 2E Masters uh how long can you stay here in Netherlands well if you can uh finish your course perfectly according to the time in four years then you will get one more year of job searching uh Visa or time in that time you have to find somewhere where they will uh apply for you they will sponsor you then uh in within that one year you have to find it and after that if you find it fortunately then it will be student into work conversion will be there and then it will uh you work and let the card come okay that that is also cool and U how long does it take to get PR here in Netherlands if you uh come in Bachelor and you do the four years of bachelor degree then it will be counted as 2 years mhm and after that uh three four the rest rest years working period the working period will so half of the education period will be counted in the pr at the time of application of PR now a very uh important question like Netherland seems to be very expensive right so what are the living cost here I mean what are the rent expenses and food expenses per person well per person the rent expenses if you share with other people other students then it will be like on an average uh 500 for a room can be more depends on the place where you live for example Amsterdam it's very high and in a little bit far away from amram it will be low and the food expenses will be around1 a month for a person so over we can say that if you are um you know staying very economically it will be €600 for sure per month can be more can be less like like very less would be 600 very less kind of we could say and what about the transportation part the yeah transportation is very expensive here because uh the train buses everything is quite expensive than other countries so far I have traveled I have traveled quite some countries but so far I found the Netherlands the most expensive so yeah the the train everything is the tickets are very much higher but for the citizens here or people who have the residence car here they can uh apply for a uh monthly pass which is €20 a month uh personally I use use it it's uh with that I can travel for free during the uh off peak hours which is uh and during the peak hours we it's only 40% of the 60% of the actual price okay so and are there any other cost associated with this student thing like tution fees accommodation living expenses other than that any administrative fees uh like it's better uh if you uh rent a house or rent uh stay somewhere which is uh every bill is included in your uh monthly rent then it's better or if you have the excluded bills then it can be the energy fees the water bill gas bill something nearly 200 plus and also if you are in contract if you do a contract job here then uh you have to you must have to have a health insurance which is also quite High here around 130 euro per month yes this is like but the government will give you uh allowance on that uh uh health insurance so you will get it back but you have to apply for it later on we will get it back right but initially we have to pay for it yeah and uh like if suppose you are not working still do we need health insurance no then you uh you have to have a student Insurance before coming here so that will work okay but but if you are working in a contract job then you must have to have a Dutch basic insurance uhuh and like what are the tax rates over here uh it's 21% so far I know mhm but uh the salary you get from the contract or contract job it's after tax so you don't have to pay any Tex by yourself if you are doing any contract job that is it and uh if you are doing any freelancing jobs like uh there are some temper and young ones these are the there is some app where you can uh open an account apply for some ships temporary ships if you do that then you have to pay the uh 21% of tax by yourself okay yeah that is not in contract MH so that you are you are the employer of yourself so you have to pay you text great and um like how are the classes conducted and is it hard to clear exams and all is the education system hard here no I won't say I won't say Yes the the teachers are very friendly the if you do if you can do the classes regularly you can easily pass mhm you can easily pass but uh for us for for the five uh first couple of months you will get it over your head because you won't uh we are coming from a completely different educational system to a complete different one correct so to get used to it it will take time for me it took a lot of time but there are some extraordinary brilliant people they they will do it easily for me it took time no worries about it man so I think uh it's we can bring our spouse also with student is right yeah that is the thing so I think I have almost asked all the questions and the viewers who are watching us in name so do you do you want to give any message to them who wants to move to Netherlands uh yes I will do one uh I will give one advice select a place before you come here that you can stay because the weather is very har and the hotels and everything is very expensive you will lose everything in 2 weeks if you stay in any hotel y true and one more thing I will say uh think uh study very carefully before choosing your University especially the uh place especially the city uh try to uh try to get admit in a university in big cities like Amsterdam utre denh or somewhere something bigger so you will get some more job opportunities than others wonderful wonderful zy so I think um that is it and please do say thanks to zinney in the comment section because he has shared all the very important information that you need in order to move to Netherlands for studies so thank you so much zy thank you so much it was a really nice conversation and yeah all the very best guys for your visa application admission application and see you in the next video with zy about parttime jobs in Netherlands see you bye-bye take care
