Every Type of Werewolf - Werewolf Classification

welcome back monster i'ts and welcome new viewers I monster master Arthur and welcome to world of monsters everything monster approaching the finalization period to our video compendium of every werewolf of every movie ever I think it's a good time for a little break and discuss and classify the various types or forms of werewolves out there before we begin let's first establish that we are on the same page here on what a werewolf is a human that has the ability to change into a werewolf the word change here will be interchangeable with the words shape-shift shift turn and transform therefore not dog men not will folk nor any other similar creatures that are naturally and permanently in this biological form where or were wolf broken down meaning man wolf or in our case and following person or human wolf will be the general term used here as well as the term for our starting point in this classification werewolf a bipedal form that other than standing upright retains more features of a wolf especially in the head area examples of this may be observed within the bones structure such as elongated limb bones also there may be a digitigrade leg structure a had much more reminiscent of wolves than that of humans the creature may move on all fours but usually upright when standing [Music] looking into our human history in search of actual accounts of werewolves we come upon a certain disorder named clinical lycanthropy in this case the person believes himself or herself to be an actual werewolf this ill or sick person although completely delusional this type can be added into our classification as they may still pose a threat and characteristics quite beyond that of most regular people humans to this one we will refer to as the feral man or fair woman feral person therefore here now we have two extremes the full-on werewolf form and is still completely human form honing the lick Anthropy mental disorder and so now as we delve deeper into the earliest depictions of werewolves we find one that features king-like on or Lacan who has turned into a wolf for trying to track Zeus into eating human flesh but unlike the original wording some early viewed as a sub specie if that is a preference within the lore of your creation examples are features here to watch out for always or usually on all fours that may at times stand and walk upright such as bears face and our body structuring is not akin to wolf or human though in its lore again it is considered a werewolf bipedal forms run into the same issue hence we shall dub this form monstrous werewolf significant points here being the face and our body structuring not being akin to that of a wolves or humans though yet still within the lure the creature is considered a werewolf it may seem the classification is now complete but there is yet still another one that is more than the feral man or woman yet less than wolf person this form may feature elongated teeth particularly canines maybe a tail enlarged and ears like those of a wolf this form will be called hominid or humanoid rather than just a jumbled human feral man a person that actually has n or several non-human wolfish anatomical elements since this classification is based around the werewolf form a suggested rule of thumb to follow when one has found themselves indecisive between two forms is to always first study the physical form and to which side it leans more rule for human this should be the main deciding factor yet if no conclusions can be drawn the personality character and behavior of the werewolf should be researched if more in control of themselves and able to use items such as tools and even weapons and at times even communicate then the more human related form is to be considered if the particular werewolf under observation is more feral or wild and out of control or animalistic then the final verdict should lean toward the more wolfish side all in all the classification here is designed to help you better distinguish the various werewolves seen within their various contexts considering this as mythology viewers are reminded to respect the creators and their work and the Honestly I feel like the “monstrous” forms and the “lycan” form presented here don’t really count as werewolves at all
