ventriloquist all started when i was 10 years old i went to my school library and i found a book by complete accident on ventriloquism i've been performing them for over 20 years and yet most of america still doesn't know who i am this is my big break all right bring it on next please oh no a ventriloquist [Applause] okay what is your name sir my name is terry fader i'm emma taylor this is emma taylor i'm a singer yeah she's a singer she does impressions of female singers oh well show us what you got man all right hit it what are you doing what [Music] wait emma do you know who that is that's just my opinion pierce what do you think yeah i mean i i have genuinely never seen a ventriloquist do uh impressions of singers ever so i thought that was quite amazing actually good to see that thank you terry i have to tell you reel up straight when you came in i thought oh lordy lord not again but you are quite brilliant thank you yeah you really are okay should we vote yes from me okay how did you get into oprah nil well when i was a kid my brother had a book report to do he brought home the three tenor cd and i never let it go after that okay tell me about you and your brother what kind of background do you come from uh we we grew up in a small town called sykeston missouri about uh two hours south of uh st louis my mom worked all the time she did everything she could for us so is she pretty proud of you to be standing here today that's what she tells me yeah just thinking about his mom and what it means to her has made him this emotional what would it mean to you neil standing [Applause] [Music] generally [Applause] is [Music] in the two seasons i've been doing this show thank you you know what this show is about finding talent and it's about a million dollars and right now you are the front runner and you know what go ahead and be emotional it's great to be emotional because your dreams are coming true right fabulous now i swear your mother is gonna be proud of you tonight fantastic okay you have such a fabulous warmth that comes from you and sincerity and your voice is spectacular i'm i'm very interested could you tell me what do you do for a living i sell insurance you do yeah i'd buy some from you seriously that was spectacular and you won my heart just by singing nes and dahmer i adore that song and you sang it so beautifully thank you you know neil as you began to sing i think the whole audience felt an electricity on the stage it was the passion the emotion the performance was incredible you know you are a very very special talent [Music] man and what's your name sir uh my name's kevin skinner oh kevin and uh what are you gonna do for us today i'd like to sing a song for y'all it's my garth brooks okay and what do you do uh do you do this no yeah do you do this you do this for a living or do you have another job yeah i was a chicken catcher up for several years um how many chickens did you catch in the day i'm not a math real good at math we caught about sixty thousand in one night six guys but one person called eight at a time okay let's see it just to see the act thought cross is my mind if i never wake in the morning would you ever doubt the way i feel about her in my heart as if tomorrow will never come will she know how much i loved [Music] she's my only one and if my time on earth were true [Music] she must face this world without me is the love i gave her in the past gonna be enough to last tomorrow will never come so tell that someone that you love is what you're thinking of tomorrow never gone very good man sweet thank you pierce what do you think brother there's a moment in every season i can remember them all when somebody comes on stage dressed like you are and your caps on their own way around and you know they're all like this is going to be a total car crash and then you start to sing and within about 20 seconds you had me and by the end of it that was one of the most emotional me too powerful performances i've seen in a long time thank you thank you that means it means a lot thank you sure um you know you you come on here and you just like i i thought that you were gonna be really hokey and silly but you're really not and you i can tell you're a lovely person thank you you're very genuine thank you yeah very very genuine you can move this man you did a great job congratulations and america deserves nice to see you thank you hear what this show's about let's vote you could win this competition i'm a yes thank you that's three yeses brother [Applause] congratulations [Music] to you winning something like this what does it mean to you it means a lot for my grandparents they raised me and they lost everything in hurricane katrina and it would just be nice for me to do you all right i just wanted to check what was going on under the hat you know what i i'm i'm in agreement with my uh fellow judges here you really do have talent you really do thank you i just want to say one thing the one thing i love about these shows is i want to see people grow if we bring you back i want you to step it up i don't want you just to sit on a stool strumming guitar singing i want know what i mean and you talk about bringing things back what better way to bring it back than with your look and who you are you come out on this stage chewing your gum doing your doing your silly bobby impressions and your howie mandel hero worship um and i'm thinking this is going to be total train wreck if i'm honest i thought honestly i already did i i just thought this guy's not serious and then he began to sing and i couldn't believe quite what i was hearing i really couldn't and what i liked about you what i like about you is i don't think you really know how good a singer you are have you ever auditioned for anything before never in my life this is your first ever audition for every audition in front of anybody you are a very unusual talent you're the kind of reason that we like doing the show because you come out of nowhere you've never auditioned before in your life and you have a natural god-given talent your life is never gonna be the same i'm telling you [Applause] this room come to that i'm not asking for much i'm not asking for backflips i just want the dog to follow me i don't let any animal axe through hardly any because they've been awful i mean every getting into magic what age i started becoming fascinated with magic when i was four years old four yeah i saw a magician on tv and i would record every magic show on the old vhs and i would uh watch them over and over in slow motion to try to figure out how to do the tricks that's how i learned wow wow so you're self-taught yes well i think we're excited to see it good luck we enjoy yourself course our favorite joker don't worry nick i haven't forgotten about you you really are a jack of all trades jack for ball chains me i'm 25 years old and sad as it may sound this whole magic thing has pretty much consumed my life all the time like 24 7 since i was about four years old see people often ask where do you see yourself in ten years but even just five years ago i never guessed that i'd be here on season nine of america's got talent hoping to hit the jackpot in front of an amazing full house audience here at the dolby theater wow i will never forget the address here number 6801 of course i don't have a zero in a deck of cards so sometimes i improvise i never thought i'd be here across from the great howard stern now howard i gotta be honest i know these cards this king here doesn't really look like you in fact in my opinion all of you judges look much better one two in the flesh yup even you howard you all look great you look great dressed to the nines but don't get me wrong i'm not just up here to be kissing your aces well except for maybe you heidi see you do have undeniable sex appeal we all know that but it's you mel b that i've always had the hots for you see you were part of the spice girls the only group in history to have four consecutive number one hits since the legendary jacks and five [Applause] [Music] [Music] hello good evening good evening to you
