Eurostar London to Amsterdam - the VERY FIRST train! 4th April 2018

[Music] hello and welcome to another trip report it's just gone 6 a.m. today is Wednesday the 4th of April 2018 and today is a really big day both for me and for Eurostar Eurostar has had ambitions to run direct trains between here in London and Amsterdam for a very long time and today it is finally happening this is going to be the very first train that carries the paying public between London and Amsterdam with Eurostar and I'm really looking forward to it so come with me I'm going to take the short walk across to some Pancras International station and let's get this show on the road [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] hold on thank you [Music] those good she's unharmed hmm you go Sammy first on the Spencer lovely thank you you're welcome pressure getting Joseph yes [Music] just a brief word about fares because I know a lot of you who are watching this video will have this rather obvious question how much does it cost well if you're travelling between London and Amsterdam and you booked far enough in advance you can get this journey for as low as 35 pounds one-way in standard class if you want to push the boat out a little bit and go for standard premier it's as low as 79 pounds one way I'm travelling in business premier today which has an awful lot more expensive but then that is a business ticket with flexibility most leisure travelers are not going to need that flexibility or the additional services that it offers however if you're interested it comes in at 260 pounds one way the standard and standard premier tickets are priced according to demand so whilst those are the lowest fares if your particular trend you're searching has a higher demand you may see a higher price however I've done some searching on the Eurostar site and there are definitely plenty of 35-pound fares available and stand the class and plenty of 79 pound ones available in standard premier it looks like the trains just about to board so I'll wrap this up here let's get to the Train [Music] and I good morning thank you [Music] good morning welcome on board this historic first marshal Eurostar train to Amsterdam this is a milestone in real trouble making for great European cities for the first time London Brussels Rotterdam and Amsterdam my name is Miguel and along with my colleague Jenny we are your twin managers we're very proud to share our made this journey to the nether on cue and we will be happy to answer any of your questions our journey time to Amsterdam will be three hours and 41 minutes and we're due to arrive at 1312 local time welcome Iowa's now some [Music] yes of course mr.
