Estonian soldier reacts to the A 10 WARTHOG

hello my friends my name is arthur ray and i am an estonian soldier for the catholic [Music] us has a weapon in its military a weapon that everybody is afraid of i mean the enemies of course and the weapon gives support the friendlies and kills the enemies it's very efficient very scary i didn't really know what it was i watched a few clips about it i want to share it now it's called the a10 warthog and when it shoots it makes like this kind of sound it's like oh i wouldn't want to if i would be the enemy with my kalash in some kind of a bush and i'd be hearing that sound above i'll be running like hell man so today we're going to watch what is this wonder weapon the wonder weapon how does it work what does it do is it expensive as an estonian infantry man i don't really know much about these kind of weaponry it's aircraft of course i mean it's air force i have no knowledge about it but we're going to discover it together but before we start i need to direct your attention to and army troops are overwhelmed by the enemy they want just one aircraft the a-10 what we got here is the a-10 thunderbolt 2 more commonly known as the warthog or just the hog by those who fly the warthog it's the ultimate gold standard for close air support close air support is protecting troops on the ground we work closely with those troops to make sure that they're able to effectively operate safely on a complex as much to understand all it has it has like a mini gun or a very fast cannon mounted on on the front of it that's it no rockets no heavy machinery just 30 millimeter cannon as much as i know but it shoots so fast that nothing escapes it as much as i know it shoots just a few seconds but it shoots fire rate is so fast that these few seconds if you're in the blast area you will be shot to pieces it's battlefield we got some great fire to power to help them do it great firepower is the a-10 specialty the warthog is basically a gun with an airplane attached the a-10 gun is called the gau-8 avenger or just the gun by a-10 pilots it's 21 feet long it's the heaviest gun automatic cannon mounted on aircraft it weighs more than 4 000 pounds when it's fully loaded the avengers magazine holds over a thousand rounds of 30 millimeter ammunition 30 millimeter thousand rounds whoa this is armor piercing obviously 30 millimeter is very it's a big caliber to be shot automatically and so fast i reckon this can shoot almost through everything you need a very thick armored for it not to shoot through it and if i would go to war with my boys behind me i'd feel much safer if the airspace is guarded by this if the fire rate is so fast so how how fast can you shoot through the thousand rounds i mean you can't carry more because it's i imagine it's quite heavy and the plane couldn't lift it so it's a thousand rounds but if the fire rate is that fast it goes through with a few seconds only so you have to be very accurate is that correct spit out at 70 rounds per second per second 70. it's effective enough to kill armored vehicles tanks armored personnel carriers all the way down to small soft point targets we can use it against moving targets we can use it against static targets we can use it against buildings pretty much everything that a really powerful gun can be used for we use it against the gun isn't just powerful it's precise four thousand feet above the ground the warthog can strike within 40 feet of its target you can be sure that anything within that 40 feet is not gonna have a good day not gonna have a good day it's gonna be blown the red mist if there's people they're gonna be just red mist nothing more did you see how how close stitched together the these holes were in the armor i mean this if this were a person and it was a 30 millimeter one of these bullets is enough to rip your hormone arm of the they have thousands coming at you with 70 per second the a10 30 millimeter cannon is only part of its payload package the a-10 can carry a mix of ordinance pretty much anything the air force produces we can hang on the bottom of this jet and use it so you do have rockets the outer pylons are reserved for lighter ordnance specifically air-to-air missiles as you move inboard we mount uh sensors flares and some rockets out on the outer pylons as we move in towards the center of the plane we can carry heavier ordnance so air to surface precision guided missiles and the bombs are most commonly loaded on the inboard station this right here is known as a triple ejector rack so the turr can carry three bombs 500 pound each it can also put rocket pods with seven rockets each on these stations so you can picture the variety and number of ordnance that the a-10 can carry into the battlefield environment it's not going it has a lot of weaponry on top of it it has the cannon which is all i was already impressed by the cannon but it can also as you can see it can carry five bombs which is a lot or seven rockets per for one slot it's a very over weaponized aircraft i think it's not that big of an aircraft but it can carry a lot of firepower trying to win any beauty contests but for generations of soldiers the a-10 and its pilots have been a lifesaver if i do my job correctly more american men and women are coming home safely at the end of the day this is just one video we have more videos coming i have three more videos about the a10 and one of them is a real battle footage quite mind blown actually this is not a huge plane you would imagine to carry this kind of firepower actually and it doesn't seem truly strongly armored could you shoot that thing down with an ak i don't think you could but you could shoot it down with a little something slightly bigger for example automated 30 millimeter on the ground could shoot the warthog down i think if you if you're accurate enough i know there's a lot of military personnel watching there's some marines there are some army personnel if you have any experience with the 810 i've never seen one in estonia we don't have them of course we don't obviously but this is an unreachable technology for us but if you have any experience you can just chills [Music] this is really live battle footage the 18 flies low and slow all right after spotting immediate individual fighters and vehicles the pilot attacks with the aircraft's powerful 30 millimeter cannon pilots in the garage [Music] okay so it's thick armor no ground fire all right it's an awesome testament to the to the aircraft i think that the same gun that we used to kill main battle tanks in 1991 is the same gun where we can shoot a single insurgent uh that's fleeing on a motorcycle or shooting our at our guys from a tree line so the 1980s vintage 810 was too old and vulnerable to survive over syria well of course if you're fighting against the russian technology they could maybe shoot it down because it is from the 80s of course but but i don't think isis has that much air power ground to air force the ground-to-air firepower to shoot down the a-10 if they do that's really troubling i mean of course i know there's no more isis i'm just talking in the past tense here but i think a10 would have been a perfect weapon against isis there's total air superiority and they they like to gather together you know the mices people so you can just take down many at once [Music] you will not pursue the elimination of the finest close air supports weapons system in the world all right [Music] [Music] senator i will give you the facts of how many targets have been struck by which kind of platforms in iraq and syria over the last year yes those significant number of them have been done by the a-10 and more is that true or false no it's true more have true more would you want to retire the least expensive most accurate close air support system here we can see the politics crashing the military and logistical thinking of course the air force personnel i don't know who the guy is but he obviously knows that they need to upgrade they need newer weaponry but it's a risk because you have something that works you don't want to really throw it out you know don't invent a new bicycle if you have another one that works that's basically their own saying and the senator mccain here just stubbornly knows it works and it doesn't really want to upgrade it or i mean doesn't want to put it in the museum i think if the us would be fighting a very intelligent weaponized energy enemy like russia or north korea maybe the warthog would be a little bit problematic because both of these nations have anti-air weaponry quite smart entire referee or iran for example but if they're fighting isis who doesn't have almost any anti-air weaponry especially if you're talking about planes not the helicopters then really yeah have fun with the a10 and blast them away but yeah truly if you're fighting with russia or something you couldn't use them as much because they would be just shot down we have two more videos we have now a video where a10 shoots a taliban getaway vehicle we videos about isis videos about talib and this is obviously demonetized but who cares i mean this is this is interesting to me real battle footage so you don't have to stomach for it just walk away that's the car driving really fast as we can see oh oh and then immediately car stops just goes on with them oh look at these holes this is it's supposed to be 30 millimeter but these holes are shining gigantic what does it do to a person inside if the car is left like that i feel bad for the enemies of the us sometimes i feel like why fight if the enemy has weaponry like this you can't really do anything you don't even have even if you would have armored vehicles they would still shoot through it oh the sound and another attack just for safety it's not the second world war where a person sits here and holds the minigun and shoots this is automated right i mean the whole aiming system and the whole shooting trigger system it's all atomized i assume there's only one person in that plane if it flies looked cool but now we have a truly battle footage on the ground it's 10 minutes wrong it has 20 million views so it's one of the most famous battle footages in youtube it's called a10 saves my life we're gonna watch it all guys why not this is a good ending point to this video you know we know more about the a10 near ambush in the jungle have a machine gun over here who's shooting to the area i have to tell you yes he's shooting right and you see it in the morning with movies that people see and they shoot but in war you have fog of war here you can literally see the fog before it's literal fog and dust you can't see anything you really usually shoot the area you know the enemies somewhere there so you don't shoot there you shoot this kind of arrow you you make this arrow and you shoot the whole thing because you don't really know where the enemy is and your point is to suppress the enemy not maybe directly kill it with your bullets because this is quite difficult and badly if you don't directly see the enemy so and as a machine gunner your job is to suppress the enemy not just kill it if you can kill a lot of enemies with a machine gun that has to be a really bloody battle already because these second world war type battles don't really happen nowadays anymore the machine guns point nowadays is more to suppress which this guy's probably doing here this is how we were taught i don't know maybe u.s is different so he's shooting just an arrow here he's not really sure what the enemies which is all right you don't really see the enemy most of the time you're shooting the arrow 2 50 3 o'clock oh he's he's out he needs to reload and the machine gunner is never alone he has to some the body has to be here somewhere okay yeah we see he has friends already usually the squad moves together or if the squad splits up the battle pairs move together but machine gunner is never alone it's quite bad if he is alone and it would be good already [Applause] how many more rounds you can see he's nervous of course he is he's being shot at but doing these things in peace situation it's easy to reload your weapon but everything becomes 10 times more difficult if you are being shot at you're nervous your hands don't work properly you mess things up the easiest things you might mess up you might drop things providing covering fire are they being shot at right now i don't understand i don't see any ricochets they broke back they broke back okay so the enemy is retreating a little bit hey they're [ __ ] close yeah he's burning through the ammunition there that goes fast i mean you have a box 100 rounds that goes really fast i'm right on top of this [ __ ] bird man hey i got boxed up here [ __ ] there you go i pushed him all down [ __ ] get down where's bob where's bob hey get down this [ __ ] won't open [ __ ] it see if you put on me that loves them there we go i mean he's obviously angry you can hear him cussing as well really i don't see any shooting back and you can't really pursue the enemy because the air support is coming i think i'm waiting for the a-10 i mean there's a title i want to see the a-10 i know i'm going to keep their heads down so it'll move so he's suppressing he's keeping their heads down he's keeping the enemies that's the a10 ah you hear hear that sound doesn't even compare to the machine gun you need to come closer so it broke sometimes the i don't know i call them lint and stuff and they break and it's so annoying i wouldn't want to be a machine gun you always have to fix things and machine guns break down quite easily this is a humvee right i don't know the vehicles get down get down [Music] you hear the explosions on the ground before you hear the shooting in the air because sound travels only that fast and the explosions on the ground are closer to you so what happens before the plane even shoots i mean of course the plane shoots first but you hear it later which is so weird [Music] oh i love that sound [ __ ] it's the best sound oh i love it i can never hear it in the battlefield obviously we don't have that kind of weapon we don't have even an air force so we rely on u.s air force but i mean if the air force thinks they're outdated and obsolete give them to us we could use them that's right where they're at bring it back again [ __ ] it god bless the fact that i carry this heavy [ __ ] gun no one can survive that there's no enemy [Music] anymore i would imagine this the one or two second we hear is all they have thousand rounds and it's gone 70 rounds per second and they carry a thousand rounds thousand divided by 70 they can shoot for 14 seconds each which is quite a lot actually if you shoot that 14 seconds you will shoot through earth you would shoot a hole through earth that is quite a lot actually winchester those [ __ ] all right yeah that's the sound alright my friend i'm not disappointed i read some comments about the a10 and i'm not disappointed it is truly a magnificent aircraft and it's hard to see it go i mean it's it seems quite effective and it's obviously cheaper than the f-35 which everybody wants nowadays every every major country in the world would want that aircraft is so damn powerful but it's so expensive
