[Applause] today we're poor in the epoxy [Music] so the idea is that when I have this the top down and I can clamp it I can fill the epoxy up to the bottom and then I can sand away any imperfection on the bottom hoping that the top is perfect so I'm gonna grab the clamps and clamp it down all right I've got a little clamped up now I have the black tint I'm gonna put the black tint in the epoxy so that should look pretty good with the mapa burl contrasting colors light to dark and we'll give it a go using one inch thick poor casting epoxy from plastic world so we'll see how that goes two two one now in a mix for three to four minutes get it analyzed all right got it all mixed up the idea for tonight is to get the live edge painted and pour the first thin layer that way I can establish a kind of a base and build up from there so let's get to it [Music] [Music] and many more epoxy [Music] [Music] first layer pork [Music] okay so now I'm gonna let it sit for a little bit go back over it with the blowtorch get any any remaining bubbles [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys here we have it came out of the forms perfectly could not be any happier so the next steps I'm going to do is trim it I'm going to cut it down with the T 275 get through its final dimensions [Music] alright guys so I started sanding down the top side of the tabletop about the Rotex here with sixty grit because I really want to knock down the the epoxy along the edges you can kind of see some defined areas some areas there still need to work on I don't want to have that hump there I don't have a 24 inch wide planer unfortunately otherwise this would have been nice to it to just run right through on both sides [Music] [Music] [Music] - 2320 it's not for 2320 400 oh my no fondo me now we're gonna the plans form under flat [Music] 500 plan [Music] one [Music] [Music] all right so as you seen I just finished a rounding over the edges I did a half inch on the top I did an eighth inch off camera on the bottom just to soften the edges took a that's a 220 grit sanding pad just to beat the corners here and so now now the time has come I'm just gonna wipe down all the all the dust with some of the microfiber here and then we're gonna get to finishing it all right we're gonna apply rubio monocoat pure to the top here and I just I got a little mixed up here I like to give it a taste before I apply it just to make sure it's got the good consistency yeah it's good you're gonna want to get any close to those kids [Music] so now what we're gonna do is I'm going to get that half-inch tap tap these holes drill and tap the table as well to to mount the legs like so [Music] [Music] for that big guys my first applause the river table complete I love the black on the map world great contrast cast iron anchor legs for the bass suitable for a river table if you have any questions queries klomps or concerns leave them in the comment section below I'd be happy to get back to you got a lot more climbed that coming out social media links in the description as well at Corey Reynolds photography at out of the woods duct works on Instagram you can follow along with my builds and in future videos we got coming out in the meantime take it easy and builds up
