EPCOT's Barges are GOING! Rides, Characters, Low Crowds, 100th Anniversary Updates & The Seas!

hello everybody today we're at Epcot and I have so many fun things to share with you so let's get started I popped in the connections Cafe first to get an iced coffee because it's just a hot day and I just wanted one and I'm shocked at the like no humongous line there's always a humongous line here this is good omen for today also these look so delicious I want to eat every single thing on that thing oh this is the first time I've seen the 100 here at Epcot that's cool me got my iced coffee crowds are looking pretty low today it's looking really nice it is warm but the weather's been really weird there's been afternoon thunderstorms like every day yesterday it even hailed which was absurd for Florida but it did but I want to show you something first that I have wanted to see with my known eyes and show you with thine own eyes so cute I love the topiaries my favorite part of flower and garden festival hi Miguel oh my goodness can can you see this already hi rocket High Groot look at the world showcase Lagoon notice anything massively different because I sure do just the fact that there are available tables tells me that this is not a super crowded day at Epcot today and this is really nice but let me put this down and show you take a look at that will ya the Epcot World Showcase Lagoon the barges are almost all gone there's only two left and they're going quickly the center ring is gone that is huge these are the pieces that were part of the harmonious nighttime show that ended recently I was here for the last and final performance ever of that show if you want to see it it was a pretty interesting night but now that it's gone oh hello Birds the biggest part of the show that people complained about were these barges that blocked the view across World Showcase Lagoon and now the views wide open except for just right over there and that's almost gone but we can see the Japan Pavilion the America Pavilion the Italy Pavilion this is nice I had to come here first to see this because this is glorious and I have a feeling that by the time we return from our May travels these remaining two barges will be gone so I'd love to know what you think about this but this is just the start of our day so I did not purchase Genie Plus or lightning Lanes or anything like that today but you can use Genie without paying for Genie Plus so I'd say we're casually using Genie today and what you do is you click these three in the bottom corner and you go to your tip board and it shows you the park for the day and when you go to edit selections you can choose your favorite things and that's what I did and that way those things will be on top and it'll tell me when the next whatever it is and right now there's five minute Waits but kind of as we stroll around I'll pop this out and take a look and see you know if there's anything going on near where we are that we can do and it looks like there is five minute wait for Grand Fiesta tour definitely it is really really hot out so a nice air-conditioned boat ride plus I always love going inside the Mexico Pavilion it already feels so good in here it's so beautiful in here the theming is immaculate you're indoors but you feel like you're Outdoors it's like a sunset afternoon party going on all day long it cools you off you can smell the Ride water it's just I love it you know and the Heart of it all is the dining area and the view beyond the dining area the volcano the pyramid the Sky incredible but we can get a much better look at it if we ride Grand Fiesta tour starring the three Caballeros join the three Caballeros on a leisurely musical boat cruise through Mexico I love a leisurely boat cruise dark ride boat rides are my favorite kind of ride [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] Minneapolis [Music] remember to stay seated until the boat reaches the door I love Grand Fiesta tour for a lot of reasons because I love dark rides and I love boat rides I like the music I like the design honestly I could give or take the screens I think the little story is funny but I'm just looking at the architecture the design and the It's a Small World Vibe going on in there that's what I like all right that was fun let's keep going we'll use the tip board casually and as we pass by anything if it shows a low weight we can just do it there's a pretty short line to meet Donald right now Donald's number one it's gonna go freshen up and we'll be right back can't wait to meet him the cutest the absolute cutest oh I gotta do a bunch of things Donald I got a scan I gotta put bag down get all this down do the priority thing idea this is one of the cutest meet and greets you can do in Disney World Donald is so adorable I got my photos and just chatted with him and we talked about level one idea and it's genius a bubble wand McDonald's instead of Mickey and the bubbles are coming out of his bill his mouth anyway so I mentioned that the weather's been really unpredictable this week and the afternoons have had thunderstorms and hail and there's a weather warning right now but I mean there's no sign of it right now the sky is blue and bright there's only white fluffy clouds so I don't know anything can happen in Florida though so we'll just I got my umbrella we're ready to go whatever happens I love the three Caballeros topiary two another view of the world showcase Lagoon from a slightly different angle and you can see how the barges really do obstruct The View so like France and Morocco back there really hidden and when they're gone you can see clear across and it's lovely so got the Big Crane back there we've seen some images online of them disassembling the barges and it's wow I'm gonna head over now towards the land Pavilion the imagination Pavilion World nature that neighborhood of Epcot oh look at that the monorail so pretty I love seeing the monorail go through the park so cool I can see some short wait times for attractions over here this View with the upside down or backwards fountain just one of my favorite views excuse me duck what do your feathers say is it going to rain and storm today or is it going to stay hot and sunny I need to know what do your duck senses tell you yeah me too me too this figment succulent topiary is one of my favorites this year and there is a five minute wait for a journey into imagination with figment so why the doggone not I like to always show you the sign so you have that info let's go five minutes five minutes means you're gonna pretty much walk right on look at this no Line This Is Awesome great it's an open house today just our luck uh-oh figment I think I'm gonna get my own whole thingy oh my gosh unless someone comes behind me [Music] this can help cat treat your imagination it's about listening with your imagination and each of us imagine different things [Music] oh it smells like burnt coffee don't fall down my own vehicle this was like really really fun please [Music] that's pretty cute pigment imagination is a blast a dream come true just follow figments footsteps and then when you get off the ride you go right into image works the what if labs and there's a lot of little cute things to do in here like this [Music] it's Melody Maker and you can make characters from inside out here and usually it's Joy I got in line for Joy because the line's not too long and one thing I'm going to show you about the free version of this is like let's say soar in 65 minutes one of the longer weights of the day if you click view details it'll show you times in the day when the line is typically shorter so if you know we wait until later in the afternoon if you want to ride it you could wait until like six or seven and the line should be shorter I came to see you and just get a little extra joy for the day I love your hair oh I got it I fix it up thank you it's a good song Joy to the World [Music] love you Joy thank you she sparkled some Joy on us thank you I just gotta give a huge amount of love to Disney characters they bring it for everyone they make everyone feel special they're so cute they even joke around with you with hand movements and it just like brings out the kid in you when you meet with them so thank you to all of you for being so joyous that was so cute and I hope you caught some of the joy she sprinkled on us I know I did hmm let's see how long the line is for Mickey Mouse it says eight minutes unbelievable Mickey Mouse Mickey Mouse in your Dapper outfit you look so good Mickey I can't believe there was no line people must not know that the milk the big cheese is in here you can't jinx it right Mickey let me get my photo with you please let me put all my stuff down maybe maybe it'll come foreign [Music] we're having phenomenal luck today and Mickey is so cute I forgot to wear a magic man today so my annual pass that I've been using to get the PhotoPass with fell out of my pocket and Mickey picked it up and handed it back to me I don't know how would this place run without him he is running this whole place anyway so cute again you know what since we're back here this is a Disney Visa photo spot if you have a Disney Visa you can get character pictures in here and I do have one so let's do it we're here it is starting to look gray out though it's starting to look a little sauce out I love this it's so cute all right let's go the decorating in here is like old school Epcot Mickey goofy hi maybe something will happen maybe sometimes The Season's both in here [Music] I know but he's he's the Epcot guy he's got the imagination he's got the rainbow it's got everything you guys know you know it he's a rascal though aren't we all though right now I love the smells right I smell so good in there yeah thank you thank you guys so much thank you oh well that's not the door oh boy the dancing fountains are a really fun thing you can stand under them and they'll go over your head everybody's having fun with them feels like a Storm's a brewing even though it's hot and blue you just feel this like the pressure in the air changes so let's get undercover look at those clouds oh yeah we're gonna head inside the land Pavilion because only then we'll be truly be living with the land here we go right now not very crowded in here but if it does start to rain people will flock and it will get slammed so let's do what we can right now there's a severe thunderstorm watch and I mean it does look like it's gonna rain we'll see I think we're gonna hop on living with the land next it's pretty much a walk-on like this part of the line is open when it's really crowded but right now it's not and I'm getting kind of hungry so after this I think we should grab some lunch [Music] gradually penetrated the hard surface of this land even the Hooves of the mighty Buffalo helped create the rich soil One Day become home to the American Farm of all the forces at work on the land you're dying in a restaurant right up there it rotates and get a cool view led to the enormous use and sometimes overuse of the land please remain seated in your own at all times are exploring innovative ways to produce powerful harvests now and into the Future these are just a few of the edible plants that have been an important source of nutrition for people Tropics still looks pretty blue out there you probably don't think there's always a hidden Mickey in here I think it's right there it's got a shrimp on it oh there's a hidden mini right there even with a bow not so Hidden Mickey look at the pillow yeah I want that where can I get that look it says 100 of the plants a little Mickey made out of flower petals and plant stuff these crops taste as good as they look they look back more than our greenhouses and restaurants here at the land every year a lot of these techniques are reminding me of techniques that NASA and other space programs are using to try to grow vegetables in Space the goal of these efforts is to produce I love when you can see right I'm working in there you can always see things moving and shaking in there a little Mickey out of the test tubes love that they're doing something today's research Orchid Rose and strawberry neat [Music] Sunshine seasons is the Quick Service dining here in the land Pavilion and they actually have quite a few different options everything I've had here has been pretty good they even use some of the things you see growing here there's oh that sounds good Asian vegetable noodle salad there's stir fry these look really good too you could just grab a little croissant or something chocolate croissant a muffin there are so many more options in here than I think people realize the Baria tacos sound really good cheese pizza rolls I usually get the vegetable korma it's a little bit spicy but it's really really tasty chicken sounds really nice too right now all the menus turned off and they told us that after 4 pm the hot food stops and it's grab and go only so be aware I was able to grab hot food and one of the last people to get it one of the things I like here is besides soda they have iced tea and they have sweet tea sweet green tea and unsweetened tea oh no okay I just haven't pressed it yeah I love ice tea it's my favorite of the bevs and I got a table right next to living with the land so one person told me this is a newish thing one person told me it's been like this for a year maybe I've just always eaten here before four but good to know I got the chicken stir fry white rice iced tea and relaxing atmosphere while I'm sitting here eating I Got a notification on my phone and apparently Disney just announced some of the things that they're going to be doing to celebrate the Walt Disney company's 100th anniversary here at Walt Disney World there's already a lot going on at Disneyland but they were kind of still wrapping up the 50th Anniversary here but it looks like Mickey and Minnie are gonna get some beautiful platinum outfits Epcot is gonna get a new nighttime show on spaceship earth which I'm so excited to get this news while we're here at Epcot and share with you so cool this is just some like preview images we're already seeing the 100 up at a lot of the perks like we saw today at Epcot there's gonna be surprise character visits there's going to be specialty new treats and all sorts of cool things this beautiful Cinderella Carriage popcorn bucket and just a bunch of new stuff coming to the perks it all says later this year so I'm excited to come out and show you this as it unveils so stay tuned honestly that wasn't my favorite thing I've gotten from Sunshine Seasons I've definitely made better choices before it was fine but I was felt kind of rushed because I didn't realize that the hot food ended at four and it was like 3 59. so I just grabbed what was right in front of me the chicken stir fry it wasn't bad I just know they have better options there but still yeah we're good the weather has lied to us because no rain yet so that's a good thing and if I pull up the tip board again and then pull down to refresh it'll give me updated wait times Frozen has remained at 65 minutes all day that hasn't gone down a lot of things are still five minutes Soren actually went down from 60 to 40 minutes that's still pretty doggone long spaceship earth holding at five test track an hour all day [Music] [Laughter] bar so right now we're here and it looks like [Music] Seas with Nemo and friends is five minutes so I think that's what we're gonna do next all right let's head out looking good out here looking good still I feel the wind though I feel it in the air I don't know hard to tell if it's gonna rain today my Lombardo's not acting up so oh actually it's starting to act up look at all that construction where they're building Moana journey of water and when they're building this whole new structure here A lot's going on and when this Center area of Epcot opens up again like you can see pieces of the Moana attraction in there it's gonna be so different these with Nemo and friends is a chill dark ride a nice family ride it's only a five minute wait so let's do it we're having really good luck today with rides and characters not as good luck with food but that's okay uh oh look at this look at this uh oh let's go it feels so good in here we are literally gonna walk right into our shell we're going right in wow beautiful mermaid [Music] I wonder if the clown fish tanks oh wow look at that little shark so awesome all right that was fun and once you exit the ride you're in the Seas Pavilion where there's a ton of different sea creatures you can look at and I love that this still has the old school Epcot theming I always come say hi to the manatees and you can see them from the first level and the second level so we'll go up to you can see their lettuce all scattered around they're rescues and we're gonna go upstairs for undersea viewing the second level Aquarium [Music] is sharks and rays and all sorts of fish yeah where's the Hammerhead yeah where's the other shark turtle [Music] these kids are these kids got it oh wow so some of these tanks you can see when you're dining in Garden Grill and I did a video on that to show you what it's like and if you sit next to the tank it's amazing oh hello oh there we go there's a shark a small shark so we could see this when we were getting off the ride look at the turtle inside the Mickey oh they're announcing something [Music] so you can see the windows of the restaurant right over there I love this could just watch them all day with over 5 million gallons of tank volume I've seen it listed as 5.7 million or more this is the second largest aquarium in the U.S and the sixth largest in the world another fun fact they just told us is that fit spaceship earth inside this tank or the big tank that's wow and when it opened it was the largest in the world but now it it's there it's still up there really really large with thousands of different animals and just an impressive and beautiful place to be a lot of Tarpon in here let's go see the manatees from the second level so there's two Lou and little Joe one of them was hit by a boat one of them was an orphan they've both been here for quite a while and there's a lot of people looking at them and loving them hello Sea Cow Who's Back open this was closed for quite a while it was under some refurbishment and it's back yay cuttlefish shrimp mangroves giant clam oh wow I wonder if clownfish tastes funny that's the shark's joke I could spend an entire day in this Pavilion and if you want a video that's more of a tour of everything in here I'll link it in the pinned comment and I show you like everything it's been forever since I've seen them use the dive chamber oh my gosh the shrimp tried to Pinch at the seahorse I couldn't turn on my camera fast enough it happened so fast it went because it swam a little too close but look how beautiful they are and look at how they blend in [Music] [Music] oh wow oh I sneaked oh is it gonna snap again is he gonna snap again come on do it do it you didn't do it you didn't do it [Music] actually touched on me it was just like a warning snap and they finally updated the sign to say exit to World nature so let's do just that [Music] just coming outside and it does look like something's Brewing up there but so far we're holding steady you hear that wind and you feel the pressure change and you see the gray clouds and you know probably a little storm's coming [Music] they've opened up some more of the walkway back here but there's still quite a lot closed off but I do want to show you something this is a new sign they added and we noticed last time we were here that you know you can see the Seas and the land and all that it says journey of water there and I don't know if my camera picks it up but it's covered in black and you can just barely see the outline so they've got the sign ready for it I'm on my tippy toes this is Journey of water I love spaceship earth it's always beautiful from every angle it's a walk-on right now so one more ride let's do it for arms feet and legs inside the vehicle and please watch your shoulders [Music] [Music] looks like it's a black light going strong today the smell of room burning best theme park smell it turns out there are coffee the libraries of the Middle East and watched over by Arab and Jewish all right wdi radio count those things one two three log everything in there [Music] [Music] we want to live in the choices we've made for the past 30 000 years have been inventing the future one day at a time please our journey is receiving now our time machine has been momentarily disrupted about five times [Music] spaceship earth is always fun always a classic so that's a wrap on a very fun day at Epcot it actually stayed pretty dry but now I'm starting to feel a few drops the wind is picking up so I think we're heading out at just the right time amazing weather today gorgeous day really low crowds we were so lucky and got to ride so many rides and meet so many characters and just have a really spectacular day here so thank you for hanging out with me today at Epcot I just really love this park it always feels really good to be here I enjoy the rides the atmosphere the theming the food most of the time every once in a while
