Real Deal
Impressed more with his chin. He got tagged quite a few times running into the punch while trying to throw his. Usually, these are knockout shots - but he didn't even get rocked. Regardless of what I think of his style, a solid chin is the best asset he has to reach the top. If it doesn't get worn down, he might be going places off of that alone.
I thought Ennis looked great, but not as untouchable as his previous fights. Obviously we can chalk that up to better competition. Overall Iβm still really excited to see more of him and heβs only going to get better imo since heβs 23.
I donβt think heβs ready to beat Spence or Crawford right now, but he could be soon.
Boots looked good last night. It was my first time watching him and I can't wait to see more
He was so much bigger than Lipinets. They were probably in different weight classes on fight night
Ennis looks pretty good. Only thing Iβd change is his first name. Something with the letter βPβ would be fun.
Expected result but still a good win for Ennis. I wasn't too excited for this one as I had mentioned previously, but hopefully Ennis can face a true welterweight contender soon like Porter or Ugas, anyone else outside of the champs should be "easy work" for Ennis.
In an ideal world Ennis should be fighting Vergil Ortiz Jr. but we won't see that fight for at least a few more years.
