[Music] hi vogue it's emma chamberlain wait should i say i'm emma chamberlain i'm emma chamberlain today i'm getting ready for my very first met gala and i'm hosting some interviews for vogue and i am extremely nervous but let's get ready together come on in we can't really do like a normal glam convo i feel like on the record you know what i mean i isn't it true that like the conversations that you have during glam are genuinely like rated r or like nc 17 or like it's just like feel like they go south quick they go so south what happens in glam stays in glam yeah a bit it is kind of like that so we've like gone back and forth with what we were gonna do for hair we went from like doing straight long hair middle part all the way like hair down to my butt and then we saw the dress and we're like that's not gonna work so then we went to doing an updo but then i got scared that i was going to look like i was at my first prom because i haven't gone to prom actually this kind of feels like i'm going to prom i feel like this is what the nerves are like because it's like you're not that scared but you're like excited and you're like excited to see everyone all dressed this is my prom experience wait so who are you like most excited to meet tonight um i'm gonna do a pr answer and say you know grimes i love grimes like i'm i'm a really i just think she's a genius and she's brilliant so i'm really excited to meet her but like the real answer is like not gonna be said on the internet who is it uh uh i knew that or what do you have to tell us i will not that'll be the fun game it's like you guys can guess and no one will know and no one will know it's like nobody will know for sure i don't know i've been saying to my family and friends i'm like wait i don't have friends literally to my family i've just been saying like i why am i not nervous like i should be losing my mind freaking out over this and for some reason i'm just not frightened i feel very cool calm and collected about it it's kind of fun when like you don't really know what's going on it's like a blind date with myself are things getting spicy stop i'm so excited i see i don't want to see it till it's done i'm good i think you'll get excited about each step though really yeah okay i'll check in the mirror oh oh oh that's not serious posing it's so sick laura i love what you've done with this i'm so excited i think that's the dress wait let's go i mean i've already seen it but like i'm so excited [Laughter] literally whip it out oh my god stop i mean this has been my best friend for the past 48 hours like i've seen her quite a few times but it's like our wedding day today like me and her's wedding day also the nails look so good with it see the nails are like the nails are worth this length is completely unlivable but seeing them next to it makes it worth it the fact that i didn't know how to function for the past 15 hours is now worth it because it just came together too well we had one day where i did a fitting for my nails which i've never done so she fitted these to my nail bed that took probably like an hour and a half ish and then last night i got them put on and that took about four hours and so these these this is my five hour manicure we're gonna need to do some lashes a lip i'd give it another 40 minutes until total done cover you in body makeup oh that's gonna that's a new experience i'm gonna need to pee like at least six times i am putting on body makeup i didn't know that this was a thing but apparently this is going to hide all of my bruises and make me look shimmery and my absolute best [Music] body makeup is done the nerves are beginning to happen but i'm ready to get dressed i mean there's kind of no breathing room today it's like go go go i don't have any time to think which i think is probably a good thing i think once i'm in the dress i'll feel this like new surge of confidence whereas right now like i'm you know wearing a robe i don't feel like in my element or maybe i'm just nervous and it's not going to go away see you when it's on wait it's this is like the i'm putting it on and then i'm never i'm like not taking it off like this is it okay hello everybody oh my god um i feel genuinely sick to my stomach right now we're gonna go on everyone have everything thank you thank you am i shaking yes so makeup it's like obviously you look like yourself but it's an alternative oh it's an alter ego you know what if i look at it like that maybe it's like gonna be good if i think of it like this is not emma this is emily tonight this is emily then like maybe it'll help if anybody calls me emma i'm gonna be offended i'm really like you didn't get the memo should i hold this yeah [Applause] right
