Wow. Just wow. I just want to crush you with words, but I realize you must be about 12 to think that this video represents "most" record players, so I'll cut you some slack. The video is talking about that specific model, which was a very early example. Most phonographs afterwards were made with permanent needles. And when I say most, I mean all.
