geometric with sharp lines instead of curves just like the Cyber truck the modular architecture of the Thunder Truck which allows it to be altered from a 4x4 to a 6x6 configuration is one of its more intriguing characteristics with a 180 kilowatt hour battery the vehicle's 4x4 layout is said to have a 400 mile driving range and can pull up to 7500 pounds in that configuration and its dual motors can Propel it from a stop to 60 miles per hour in just three and a half seconds moreover Ram trucks CEO Mike Cavallo Jr noted that the company is looking to unveil its Ram Revolution concept truck in November the vehicle is expected to go on sale in 2024. the ram Revolution EV would not be built on an existing platform instead it would be based on the solantis stla-frame platform it's also expected to have a range of up to 500 Miles thanks to an expected 200 kilowatt hour battery pack a smaller 159 kilowatt hour battery option is also expected for the vehicle the ram Revolution EV is also said to be able to tow up to 7500 pounds and have a payload capacity of 1500 pounds the Cyber truck will have a number of formidable competitors but the vehicle will have Tesla's technological advantage with supercharger support and autopilot but as key selling points Elon Musk has also been quite consistent with the idea that the all-electric pickup truck is well worth the wait the CEO has future with Tesla's new laser light technology called X silence laser headlights and open up New Horizons the aim of their work involves finding a good level of visibility that makes driving at night safer they've accomplished their mission and also revolutionized headlights using X silence laser light headlights to enhance high beams providing a much greater range than traditional LEDs these headlights can cover up to 3 000 meters meaning that the laser beam is 10 times brighter than your typical high beam headlights which can only reach 2 to 300 meters away so how then does Cyber truck laser lights actually work instead of projecting light directly onto the road the laser created light or laser-powered headlights is fired through a series of mirrors that are located within the headlamp assembly which then reflects and focuses the light into a lens the lens that fills that lens is filled with yellow phosphorus which is a substance that reacts to intense light once the laser light is reflected into the lens it interconnects with the yellow phosphorus thus creating a bright highly intense white light right basically this light is diffused to reduce its intensity and then reflected out of the front of the headlamp this system is also highly efficient compared to traditional systems in fact it is 80 percent more efficient and because the lights can create a bright light in a smaller housing X silence laser headlights enable designers to reduce the size of the housing to optimize design for the vehicle's aerodynamics designed with safety in mind they help us see farther down the road at night without blinding oncoming traffic and without the use of any buttons or switches Tesla markets them as being the most powerful headlights with lighting up to a hundred times brighter than conventional laser light all the while consuming less energy it needs just 30 percent less energy to function X Simon's laser light headlights are super energy saving using only 15 watts while normal headlights typically use 65. so you can shine those lights all night long without worrying that your cyber truck will run out of battery although you shouldn't do that in fact laser headlights have become known for their long service life which averages more than 30 000 hours in most applications but musk said the lifespan of cybertruck's laser lights is up to 50 000 hours that's enough to make it through the entire lifespan of many vehicles meaning you may never have to replace the laser lights in your car the price is around 37 however these updates for the Cyber trucks Lite excess heat from the electric motor and the battery both of which heat up with use and then distributes that heat to your car's cabin warming it up faster and more efficiently on cold winter days as we know electric resistance heating systems are considered 100 efficient because of their equivalent output of heat compared to their energy for comparison the Cyber truck heat pump boosts the efficiency rating to 500 500 so that's five times the effectiveness right with the addition of the heat pump which allows for more efficient Heating and Cooling of the cabin uh it requires 50 less energy for cabin Heating and freezing conditions if it's takes five kilowatt hours to heat the cabin it would take a resistive heater to pull five kilowatt hours of energy from the battery to heat the cabin however the Cyber truck heat pump uses just one kilowatt hour of battery to generate five kilowatt hours of heat for the cabin for instance a cyber truck using a resistive heater would need 3600 watts to maintain the temperature five times less power was required by the Cyber truck with the heat pump system it only needed 720 watts to do this moreover the technique will reduce your supercharging time by only 1.5 minutes according to the information provided the refrigerant that Tesla uses has a boiling point of about negative 26 degrees Celsius so it's safe to say that for most climates even places that drop below freezing temperatures the heat pump will work just fine even in temps cooler than negative 30 degrees because there are two Loops that use compression and expansion of the refrigerant going from liquid to gas to liquid and those Loops can produce heat even in the extreme cold while other systems lose out on nine percent of their range the Cyber truck's heat pumps only loses 1.5 percent of its range so with such an amazing level of efficiency how will the heat pump work on the Cyber truck to put it simply the heat pump pulls the air from outside the car which heats the refrigerant and also warms the air then the warm air is pumped back into the cabin the heat pump itself consists of a compressor a condenser an expansion valve an evaporator and a coil that runs through them all inside the coil is a refrigerant first the low pressure low temperature gas refrigerant passes through the compressor which then converts it into a higher pressure and temperature gas the heated and pressurized gas then passes through a device called a condenser where the gas is condensed into a liquid while retaining its high temperature and pressure pressure at this point the heat pump pushes air across the condenser from outside the car absorbing the heat energy and into the cabin from there the pressurized liquid refrigerant passes through an expansion valve which uses mechanical principles to control the amounts of refrigerant liquid passing through effectively slowing it down and reducing it back to a lower temperature and pressure liquid the liquid refrigerant then passes through the evaporator here the outside air is blown over the evaporator coils which causes the liquid refrigerant to boil even at Cold Outside temperatures and turns it back into a low temperature low pressure gas then the whole process starts over again with a compressor heating the refrigerant gas however not every system works as smoothly sometimes there are challenges this is especially the case for vehicles built with a heat pump the electronic expansion valve may experience controller communication interruptions the vehicle software does not close the valve and the accumulation of interruptions and subsequent realignments over extended periods where the vehicle is awake may result in an unintended valve opening event this in turn May trap refrigerant inside the evaporator and may deplete the refrigerant from the Active Components in the system the depletion may result in Fail-Safe compressor stoppage and cause loss of cabin heating the problem is apparently insignificant as a Tesla software update to recalibrate a valve in the heat pump system should fix all the issues which in the end Isn't So worrisome you'll see very little degradation in cold weather um and the radiator is twice as big for heat rejections as a general rule the average lifespan of a heat pump is 10 to 15 years a Tesla heat pump can last longer about 50 years or even more if you can take steps to ensure that your heat pump is well maintained so you won't have to replace your heat pump system as often this system will be used throughout until you no longer use the vehicle heat pumps are really the next big thing as they essentially take care of all of your HVAC needs while drawing barely any energy to heat the cabin when cyber truck eventually goes into production and uses the heat pump to maximize its range maybe then Tesla's big competitors will also take this route so that the competition becomes more and more fiercer than ever how do ease of fabrication and outstanding formability if ductile is a concern when cybertruck uses 30X steel then 304l will solve this challenge depending on an application different material properties are required an ideal steel would be strong and ductile which would mean that it takes a lot of force to stretch and could stretch a lot before braking however in practice there is a trade-off between those properties the strongest steel will be brittle if you think of Ceramics for example it takes a lot of force to stretch when the 30X becomes more brittle The 304l Remains much more ductile which
