for [Music] in Christ [Music] In Christ Alone My Hope Is found he is my my strength this [Music] corid [Music] ground and storm [Music] oface when are stilling SE my com My All In All In The Love Of Christ I Stand there in the ground his body l light of the [Music] [Applause] world again and he stand Victory [Applause] chost on me for I am his and he is theous BL of Christ death this is the of Christ in from to final bre Jesus Comm my [Music] [Music] no I am he [Music] is with the precious blood of [Music] Christ can me from his in Christ [Music] [Applause] [Music] well good evening it's a privilege for us to be here this evening the theme of our of our program this evening is sing We Now of joy and gladness and the only reason that we have that we can sing with joy and gladness is because of Christ in Christ alone is my hope and that is why we can sing with joy and gladness the reason the primary reason it's not the only reason but the primary reason that we go on tour that we want to go and sing on a choir tour is to praise and honor and glorify God for the wondrous things that he has done um and that is what our program explores uh that in some different ways um and as we are going through the program uh we have different ones of the choir members talking a little bit about some of the songs and maybe what is within that particular piece uh I think that uh or is going to be introducing the next song the next song we're going to be singing is lift your glad voices and it is a song that is it's a call to worship um with our voices whether it's speaking or singing um but the reason to worship is because Jesus died for our sins but he rose again um at the beginning of our term we were able to celebrate Easter and it was just a really good time reflecting on Jesus sacrifice for us um but this song has been really encouraging to me since then to just continue um being reminded daily that Jesus sacrifice should affect my daily life and it is because he died and rose again that we can sing these songs of joy of commitment and yeah he is the reason since I know that excuse me since I know that at least some of you know this song already we're going to invite you to join us on verse one if you need a um something to follow along with it it is song number 607 in the hym book that you have close by you um so we invite you to join us in singing with verse one and then we will will sing the rest of the [Music] verses for Jesus and [Music] [Music] he from glor [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] to glor to Glory of Joy the he gave us death not [Music] destroy Jesus [Music] the to [Music] your shall [Music] oh for hallelu hallelu hallelujah hallelu hallelujah hallelujah hallelu hallel hall hallelu hallelujah hallelujah hallelu hallelujah hallelujah hallu hall hallelujah hallelujah [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hallelujah hallelu hallah hallelujah hallelujah hallelu hallelujah hallelu Hallelujah hall hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelu hallu hallelu hall Hall hallu hallu hallu hallu H hallelu hallelu hallelu Hallelujah [Music] so the three songs that we just sang All talk about joy and gladness and happiness but our life isn't always like that the next song talks about the other side of that and this song was written uh by a woman who went through some extremely extremely difficult times um the times being and uh she had a circumstance where her husband chose to leave her even though she desperately wanted to keep that relationship alive and in her midst of crying out to is entitled My Cry and a couple things I want you to note As we sing through it um the first one is the verses all of the words in these in this entire song is uh taken directly from scripture it's quoting different verses it doesn't keep them all in the same passage but it takes different verses and incorporates them also the first time that we sing through it says Sovereign Lord
