Oh, is everything ready
for Uncle Jack's birthday party, Daddy? Just about, son. Those yummy Jack cakes are
cooling in the kitchen. Oh, boy. Elmo's so excited to eat that. Me, too, son. [DOORBELL] Come in. Hey, everyone. How you doing? [INTERPOSING VOICES] Hey, Jessie. Hi, [? Jet. ?] How
are you two today? Oh, I'm doing OK, Uncle Louie. Yeah, today's a big day
for us, that's for sure. Oh, are you ready for Uncle
Jack's birthday party? Oh, I definitely am, Elmo. You know it always feels good
to celebrate your Uncle Jack. But sometimes big days
like this, it can be hard. Yeah. Yeah. Really? Oh, yeah. I mean, birthdays
and anniversaries are always a lot of fun. But when the person you're
celebrating has died, well, you can have
some big feelings. Yeah. It helps to be around family
and do things to remember them. I can hardly believe it's been
so long since my brother died. Yeah, I know. Me, too. But, you know? I am so happy that we can
all celebrate Jack together. Yeah. Yeah. Uncle Louis, am I smelling
what I think I'm smelling? Oh, I did burn those
bagels this morning. But I thought I
opened some windows. No, no, not that. I mean, it smells kind of like-- Ya-pa-pa-da, Daddy and Elmo
made Uncle Jack's special Jack cakes. Oh, will you look at those? Oh, these were one of
my favorite breakfasts my dad would make. And you have the honor of
trying the first one, Jesse. Go ahead, dig in. Oh, OK. Is that good? Oh, I can't, I
can't wait anymore. Oh, oh, oh, Louis. Louis, you have got
the perfect amount of that secret
ingredient, applesauce. It's what makes a
Jack cake a Jack cake. Oh, you're right about that. I almost forgot about
how good these taste. Uh-huh. Mom? Hmm? Sometimes I worry that I'll
forget other things about him. Oh, oh, Jesse. I sometimes feel that way, too. But talking about your dad
can help us to remember him. Yeah. I remember when he taught
me how to make those cakes. We ended up all
covered in flour. Yeah, I remember my
dad in the kitchen, making these as a especial
treat for celebrations. He'd wear that wacky baseball
cap while he was baking. And he'd get so excited. Yeah, he would. Dad sure loved that cap. Yeah, Elmo misses Uncle Jack. But Elmo's happy that
Elmo and Daddy still have his baseball cap. Oh, speaking of, it's time for
Jack's yearly birthday baseball game in the park. Oh, that's right. Let's roll out, team. I'm there, Mom. All right. Wait, wait, wait. Elmo just has to get one
more thing, Uncle Jack's wacky baseball cap. This is for you to wear, Jesse. Ah, thanks. Now let's get everything
together we need for the game. Oh, OK. Elmo will get the
baseball mitts. And I'll go get the bats, OK? OK, happy birthday dad. [MUSIC PLAYING]
