You're here on such a good day. The other day, my producer
showed me an incredible video on Instagram, of one of the
coolest performances I've seen. I could try to describe it, but
I would rather you just see it for yourself. From Stuttgart, Germany,
please welcome Viola Brand. [APPLAUSE] [MUSIC - DUA LIPA, "DON'T START
NOW"] (SINGING) Did a full 180, crazy,
thinking about the way I was. Did the heartbreak change me? [CHEERING] Maybe, but look at
where I ended up. I'm all good already. So moved on, it's scary. I'm not where you
left me at all. [CHEERING] So if you don't want to see
me dancing with somebody. [CHEERING] If you want to believe that
anything could stop me, don't show up. Don't come out. Don't start caring about me now. Walk away. You know how. Don't start caring about me now. [CHEERING] Aren't you the
guy who tried to-- [CHEERING] --hurt me with the word goodbye? Though it took some time to-- [CHEERING] --survive you, I'm
better on the other side. I'm all good already. So moved on, it's scary. I'm not where you
left me at all. So if you don't want to see
me dancing with somebody. [CHEERING] If you want to believe that
anything could stop me, don't show up. Don't come out. [CHEERING] Don't start caring about me now. Walk away. You know how. Don't start caring-- [CHEERING] [APPLAUSE] Hi. So nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too. It's Viola, right? Yes. I say in Germany, I say Viola. Yes. But you can also say Viola. I don't care. OK. I want to say it how you
like people to say it. OK so, this is a sport,
which I didn't even know. I saw this. But it's a sport. How long have you been
competing in this? I have competing in
this for 19 years, now. In summer, it turns 20
years that I do the sport. Yes so, it's like all my life
that I'm doing the sport. Had you seen it when
you were that age? Had you seen that before? Or did you just do
that by yourself? No, I have three older brothers. And one of my brother,
he did this first, because there was a
club in our village. And so, I get to
know about the sport. And then yeah, I wanted to
do what my brother was doing. Sure. I started as well, at
the age of six, yes. And is it like-- it seems hard. You make it look easy. I don't think I could do it. Have you hurt-- You can try, if you want. I will. I'll try a little later. [LAUGHTER] Have you hurt yourself? Yes, I hurt myself one time. I broke my foot, when
I was trying to-- I stand on the handlebar. And I tried to jump to the--
no, I stand on the saddle and I tried to jump
to the handlebar. Right. Which was pretty dangerous,
and yeah, then I broke my foot. Right. Yeah, but this was the only
big injury in 19 years. And so, I'm lucky. Yeah, you are. So this is really interesting. I was told that watching
my show, in Germany, helped you learn English. Yes, I learned English
in school, of course. But then, I found out
about your show here. And I'm watching it for, I
don't know, two years now. And yeah, I really
like to watch the show, because I can understand
everything you say. This is pretty cool, for me. Most people can't. [LAUGHTER] And so yeah, I watch
the show very often. And I also hear to the podcasts. And so, yeah. Oh thanks, thanks. All right, more with
Viola, after this. We're back with artistic
cyclist Viola Brand. And so, you've been
in many competitions. You've won what medal? How many medals, and
what medals have you won? I won the silver medal at
the World Championship, three times. And I'm also the
reigning silver medalist of the World Championship. And I'm also the reigning
European champion. So I won the European
championship for two times Wow. OK well-- [APPLAUSE] You don't even know
this, but you just competed in the first annual
Ellen DeGeneres Artistic Cycle Competition. [CHEERING] Yeah. So weird that you're
here today, because I was starting the competition today. And I'm the only
judge, so you won. Yes. Thank you, Ellen. [CHEERING] [APPLAUSE] All right, also, our
friends at Shutterfly love German artistic cyclists. They're going to give
you a check for $10,000. [CHEERING] No way! Yeah, yeah way! Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! I want to thank Mark Wahlberg. I'll see you tomorrow. Be kind to one another. Bye bye.
