A few weeks ago we met an incredible assistant principal named Ranesa Shipman who had recently gone viral for dancing to Ciara's "Level Up" challenge at a high school pep rally. Take a look at her. [RHYTHMIC MUSIC PLAYING] [STUDENTS CHEERING] If I hit the lottery tonight I would come back to school the next day. I love my job. I love my school family. I love these kids. I'll do anything for these kids. I want to meet you in person, so I'd like you to come to the show, Ranesa. That's one thing. [STUDENTS SCREAMING AND CLAPPING] Also, Shutterfly is going to give you a check for $15,000. [STUDENTS SCREAMING AND CLAPPING] Oh my God, I'm sorry. [STUDENTS LAUGHING] All right. Hi, Ranesa. So how are you? Oh, man, I'm great. You're here. I told you wanted to-- Yeah, you're here. Yeah. [AUDIENCE APPLAUDING] I can't hear you. Come on down here. [AUDIENCE APPLAUDING] [HOUSE BAND PLAYING] I love you. I love you! I love you so much. You are so beautiful inside and out. God, thank you so much. You're beautiful, too. It looks like you've been crying for about a month. What's that? [AUDIENCE LAUGHS] Is that just from coming down here? You're crying? I've just been elated since I got to meet you. Oh. Talked to you. Oh God, you're the best. Thank you so much-- Thank you so much. --for everything you've done. I appreciate you so much, and I made a promise that I will work on my accent and not cry. But I mixed it up. Oh God. What do you mean work on your accent? What's your accent? Y'all-ing, yeah, you know, Tennessee. And it's Lebanon. You got "Lebnen". You got to drag it. I see. You say Lebanon. Leb-non. Lebanon! Yeah, that's right! Lebanon! Well, I say y'all, too, because I'm from New Orleans. So I say y'all. Oh, OK! Yeah. This is great. OK. What's happening, Ranesa? What's-- [INAUDIBLE] out of my mouth. I can't take my eyes off you. [AUDIENCE LAUGHS] You're so sweet. All right, what's going on? What's the mood like since you've been on TV? Oh, the children walk around our school with their chests out and their heads up. They're glowing with school spirit. Our teachers walk different, and they sound different. Everybody has a new glow about themselves. We're not the best in football. Our season struggled this year. Uh huh. And our kids had a Twitter beef going on, and you know that some of other schools were giving us a hard time. But one of our students came back and said, but we were on the Ellen show. And it was like mic drop. We was on the Ellen show. You can't compete with Ellen. No. You cannot compete. No. [AUDIENCE APPLAUDING] You're so sweet. And your daughter's in the audience. You go to the same school, right? Yes. What's it like with your mom being principal? It's great there. I mean the kids are eating it up, and it's like, she's like this 24/7. So I'm used to it, and I thought it was absolutely hysterical, and it's really great to have her there. She makes all of my day. I don't get to see her like much I like to, but it's always great knowing that I know she's in the building with me. Yeah. You have such a great energy about you. So all right we gave you the $15,000 for the school, $15,000 for you. What did you do with that? Well, with mine I'm going to give back to the church. So I want to give back to the church. But I also keep a secret credit card. [AUDIENCE LAUGHS] I keep a secret credit card for when I have students come into my office and they'll need things for school. So whether it's Target, Walmart, or anything they need they'll tell me. I'll stop what I'm doing. I'll go get it. But there's a stipulation. They cannot tell where it came from. So when they come into my office they'll see a package. And they'll will make eye contact and they'll grab their package and that's that. But they cannot tell where it came from. [AUDIENCE APPLAUDING] So I just love my kids. I know. I can tell that. So what is the motto? You live by a motto and what is that? It's my dash. Because you have a born year, and you're going to have a death year. So in my dash I just want to be remembered for being a good person. Uplifting, giving. And it just reminds me of you, because you don't see creed, color, size, shape. You see people's hearts. And that's all I want to be remembered for is helping people and seeing their hearts. So it's after you. [AUDIENCE APPLAUDING] Now you're going to make me cry. This is because of you. All right. This is because of you. All right. Well, here's the thing. You have this secret credit card. But when we heard about your secret credit card, Shutterfly wanted to help pay it off by giving you a check for $20,000. All right? [AUDIENCE APPLAUDING] Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. OK. And the lid's off. Thank you. I just want to sign. You take this to the bank and then-- Do I get to keep it? Yeah you get to keep that. All right? Let me just give it to you so you can put it in your purse. Yes. Oh, this is great. That is yours. Oh, thank you so much. $20,000. Oh, thank you so much. We'll be right back.
